[ accidental video ]
[ Albel knew this place too well already. there were people here that he couldn't stand and then people here that he didn't want to even speak with. he hated this place. he hated it more than home.
at least in Airyglyph, he was still "loved" and told how amazing he was even if he had failed. even if he had let the enemy win, he was still the best. unchallenged and undefeated in the eyes of his people. here, there was no one. not even the idiots that he couldn't stand to tell him to do things or the king to give him new missions. nothing.
Albel was on the roof of a building in Traverse Town. he still didn't have anywhere to stay, so he tended to stay wherever he could. after his battle with Aqua, he tried to get as far away from everyone and the tournament as he could. he didn't want to hear about any of it either and made sure that the moogles around him knew that. the wounds and burns that he had gotten from the battle before only seemed to be getting worse. though he had been used to being burned before, he didn't even wince at any of it.
in the darkness, the video showed Albel sitting on the roof as he unstrapped his gauntlet from his arm. he let it fall off with a few quiet clanks as he looked at the bandaged arm underneath. without having anything else to bandage himself with, he began to unravel the top bandages on his arm and then take the wrappings out of his hair. he started to wrap the burns on his leg and his other arm, mumbling to himself angrily ]
Stupid woman. When I get better, I'll slit her throat.

...Is this about the tournament?

What does it matter to you?

You're too much.
Go ahead with your gallant speech, I'll listen to as much as I can stand.

These tournaments are little more than petty competitions. A fight for glory, which actually means very little. Whether you win or lose, it amounts to nothing when it is over.
But this tournament is run by Hades. I can't help but think that he has some scheme in mind, though he has yet to put it into action.

Well, I kept it simple and to the point for you. But you still look wounded. Shall I heal your wounds?
Tch, I don't need your help.
