≋ Wind, Water, and Sand

[Ven's in his room, stuffing a few things into a bag and zipping it up as he talks - a couple of towels, a smaller bag of greens, a pair of flip-flops. He talks as he packs, so this isn't just random stuff.]

Aside from the tournament, it's been pretty quiet lately. Someone told me once that chocobos can swim, so I'm gonna take Daisy out to the Destiny Islands and see if I can teach her. [Or, you know, get drowned by his pet, but that could still be fun.] If anyone wants to hang out while I'm there, I think it'd be fun.

[And indeed, about half an hour after he's made his little announcement, Ven has portalled himself and Daisy out to the play island off the main one. He's not entirely sure how this is going to go so it's probably better to keep the now three-and-a-half foot tall bird away from most of the population.]

[There was also a separate, private message to Eagle just before he took Daisy through that portal.]

If you're really interested in seeing a Keyblade, I'll meet you on the Islands.

[ Terra hasn't been feeling like himself lately. besides not leaving his room after the defeat at the tournament, he hasn't really...seen any of his family. he hears what Ventus is saying from the communicator and his voice sounds muffled like he's talking with his face in a pillow ]

I hope she learns to swim, that would help a lot. You be careful too, Ven.

[And at that voice, Ven almost turns right around and cancels his plans. It's the first time Terra's spoken direcrly to him since the incident, and Ven's been on the verge of breaking down his door for the last day and a half.]

...Do you wanna come with us?

[Eagle had watched the battles the keyblade wielders had fought in the tournament however the chance to see one of these weapons up close was too tempting. Even if he had been seriously injured in his own fight he would still have arrived on Destiny Island to take Ventus up on that offer.
Ventus hadn't said exactly where he would be but it had to be some where along the beach. The Commander just walked along until he found the boy. It didn't take too long really. A giant chocobo wasn't really inconspicuous. ]

They don't look like they'd be swimming birds.

That sounds so cute, but what would happen if she can't swim?

You're already there. I'll see you around, Ven.

Terra... [He doesn't know specifically what to say, because this really is a difficult subject. Losing control of his Darkness wasn't anything good, and Ven wasn't going to try and pretend that it was, but it wasn't the end of the world either... Man, where was Riku when they needed him?]

...I'll come see you when I get home.

[At least the chocobo was still smaller than a grown human? Though yeah, that wasn't going to last for much longer at the rate she was growing. When Eagle finds him, Ven's on the beach trying to keep Daisy from running back into the surf, wearing long green board shorts and absolutely soaking wet, as is the bird. He's got a rope halter around her beak but she's straining against it, trying to go splash again. Apparently she loves swimming.]

Wha- HEY! DAISY! [Yep, the bird just yanked the rope out of his hands and dove back in. He runs after her, yelling back over his shoulder as he does.] Just a second! DAISY!

Yeah, but Lili said something about it - it can't hurt to try, right?

If she can't, it's okay. We don't have all that much water at home, and it's not very deep.

[Such a sight! The boy was practically being drug down the beach by his pet!
It was such a humorous sight that a good laugh had to be had while he watched from further up the beach. Unlike Ventus he hadn't come out here to play in the water and staying on the drier sand further away from the surf seemed like the safest way to do that. ]

I hope you make sure to be extra careful just in case.

I'm fine, Ven. You don't have to.

I'm...busy, anyway.

I suppose not. Besides, she might like it after all.

Ven! [Wavewavewave. It's good to see you again!]

Do you want any help? I'm not busy right now, and the beach sounds really nice! [She's not going to be any help in this endeavor, she'd probably be terrified of a chocobo up close.]

You're not busy, you're moping. I'm coming to see you.

[You will not deter him, bro.]

[At least someone was getting enjoyment out of this? After a few minutes, Ven trudged out of the waves again, alone, looking back over his shoulder with a sigh. Daisy was out there happily splashing around and paddling like a mad bird; in the water, he really was no match for her strength.]

She'll come back in eventually... sorry about that, she's never been to the beach before.

She probably will. She seems to like just about anything.

[She is a very cheerful bird.]

I will! And Daisy's smart, she knows not to do anything too crazy.

[...That's true on land, Ven. Who knows what she'll do in the water.]

[She's not even fully grown yet, come on! You can do it! Ven smiles at the friendly face.]

Hey, Usagi - are you sure you wanna help? Daisy's probably going to be pretty excited about all of it, and she can get a little, um... hyper when she's excited.

You really don't have anything to apologize for. I can imagine an animal like that must be difficult to control when she is very excited.

[And yes, as long as no one ha been hurt it had been fun to watch. ^,^]

[Well, maybe if she's not huge. As it is, Usagi is full of curiosity.]

hehe. Don't worry! I'd really like to. I haven't seen one up close before!

[She smiled.]

She does seem that way, doesn't she?

Yes you are! [He's going to bring you SUN AND SAND AND WAVES, Terra. WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.]

Yeah, she's pretty strong. [And she's only going to get stronger as she gets taller. But that's for later - for the moment, Ven walks over to a pile of things that includes his armor and usual boots, picking up a towel and wrapping it around his upper body to start drying off.]

So... you want to see the Keyblade?

I think Lili said most of them are like that. At least when she's not acting that way, I know something's wrong.

[Not too huge yet. Not anything like she will be eventually.]

Okay - you know where the play island is? We'll be out there soon.

[He chuckles at that.] I'll tell her you said so. She'll appreciate it!

Play island? [SHe lifts her hand to her lips, in a thoughtful gesture.]

Ummm.. Nope! I can get to the main Island though...! Which way do I go from there?

It's right off the main island, you can see all of it from the shore - you just have to take a boat over the water. It's maybe three or five minutes across there.

[...hang on, this IS Usagi we're talking about here.] Do you want me to come to the main island first?

Ven, I'm fine! I'm just resting up.

[You're learning quickly, young apprentice. It's probably best you meet her. She thinks for a moment, before grinning sheepishly, one hand lifting to scratch the back of her neck.]

Ummm... Would you mind?

[Eagle followed along behind Ventus but kept a polite distance as he dried himself off. ]

If you have the time.

[Of course he had the time or Eagle wouldn't have been asked out here but again he didn't want to be rude by being too anxious about it. ]

Hopefully I will be able to learn something useful by being able to take a few readings of a keyblade in person.

We haven't seen you in days! And you haven't tried to talk to us!

[...This could go on for awhile.]

Maybe, we can try, at least. [Ven pulls out an old shirt that used to be one of Terra's, and therefore is pretty big and floppy on him, and pulls it on so he's not just standing around in his swim trunks. Once he's more or less dressed again, he flexes his fingers, holding his arm out to the side - and then pauses and looks at Eagle.]

Is there anything you need to do? Anything you need to set up?

Nah, it's okay - can I meet you at the docks? I can borrow Sora's boat to get us over.

[Or at least to get her over, Daisy might need another portal. Or maybe he'll just take Usagi through that, too.]

Nothing at all. I'm ready when ever you are.

[Eagle was always ready. In this case the weapon he wore on his arm was also a data scanning device. All he needed was the keyblade and he could will the machine to run a scan on it. In fact he started that scan now, might as well collect a little biological data on a keyblade owner as well as the forces involved when a keyblade magically appeared to it's master. ]

I suppose it makes sense, if they're supposed to be ridden.

....... [ he just sighs. that's all you're getting out of him right now :/ ]

Hmm.. Mm! I can get there at least! [She might just go ahead and head in that direction. It shouldn't take TOO long from where she is. Wait.]

Who's Sora? [The question is asked with a slight tilt of her head.]

He's a friend of mine, he lives on the Islands. [There's a slight pause, then-] He's not here right now, though. But he won't mind me borrowing it.

He's not? [That seems kind of sad, but considering the last time she asked about someone from Ven's past...]

I'm sure he'll be back soon! Good as ever! [Don't give up hope!]

No, he's out looking into ways to get all of you back home. We just miss him. [Especially Kairi. But that's neither here nor there for the moment.] I'll be there in a minute, okay?

All alone? [That.... seems like a heavy burden for someone to carry alone.] Couldn't we all help him? But..ah. Okay! I should be able to meet you there soon!

No, he's got help. [Riku - the two of them had better send word back soon, or Ven was tempted to go find them himself. But for now, he had a chocobo to take care of.] I'll meet you there soon!

[And the comm goes off.]
