001: ☆ Duel One [Video/Action for Traverse Town]

[The feed blips on and he's...seated. Quietly. In a hotel room by the looks of it. All by himself. A rather strangely ordinary scene, given the bustle of the town outside the window around him and he seems so out of place among all these strangers with his finely cut millionaire's suit and his silvery, perfectly aligned hair…He's a bit dazed, from the look on his face. His hair falls just so to cover the left side of it as he regards the screen calmly. Almost too calmly for someone who's just been brought here.]

I've been told this is what they call "Traverse Town".

Am I dreaming?…At least, this might be a dream, as I don't remember…[Am I dead?] "Traverse Town" is it…? Where is such a place as that? I cannot even recall how it is I came to be here. Are you certain someone's not pulling a cruel prank on me? I assure you I won't take kindly to being toyed with. Surely I cannot have done this myself by mistake. As much as I appreciate a good joke, this isn't a laughing matter.

[Slight exhaustion reflects in his words, though he keeps his gaze slightly off from the small communicator. There's a serious urgency to what he says as well. In fact, he was nothing but dreadfully confused. He knew nothing of inter-dimensional travel so how was he to know where he was? Not that he'd completely poo poo the idea,—indeed, he's far from unfamiliar with the supernatural—but…How could he be anything but dead? Perhaps the strain on his mind after his defeat by Yugi had been far too great…And yet, despite the approach from the strange creature with the red bobble on its head and its insistence on giving him a tour, he wasn't sure anymore. Maybe this was a dream. That at least would be simpler than the reality of the matter. Cyndia…His thoughts instantly turned to her, and to Duelist Kingdom. What had become of it all? Was this his Judgment? His Punishment for what had transpired? Or was it something else entirely?]

Maybe someone will care to direct me…? I'm afraid this is all very confusing. I am willing to negotiate, should that be necessary.

[In the darkness, there's absolutely nothing. An absolute nothing: No light, no sound, no wind…And just when he's absolutely certain that he's about to suffocate, and the darkness closes in, with a sickening thud he hits back first on hard stone, the very wind knocked from his lungs.

Disoriented, Pegasus takes his time to readjust, moaning quietly beneath his breath. It's like a gasp of a newborn breathing for the very first time, the air thick with a tangible shadowy substance that only parts at the last second—mercilessly spitting him out upon the ground. Crumpled and weary he dizzily managed to at least prop himself up on an elbow, a weakness in his limbs making his body like jelly. Looking up he catches sight of a peculiar-looking creature…Imagine his surprise, when it begins to speak.]

Welcome to Traverse Town, Kupo…Kupo…? Are you okay, Kupo?

O-oh dear…my head…

[A little alarmed, the moogle starts to panic..But then calls for help. The screen focuses on the million-dollar suit-wearing man with his starlit silver hair, noting the thin stream of blood streaking down his face.]

K-kupo!! First aid stat, Kupo!

[It's like a far-off sound, but soon…He's being surrounded, by what seem like strange Toon-like creatures that are working a frenzy but…then as soon as he peers over at one he soon gets a little mesmerized by that bright red pom-pom even as they quickly work together to wind a bandage around the left side of his head. He tries to reach out to touch said pom-pom, but it would appear as though the moogle didn't like that very much. Instead, a small pink cell phone-looking device is thrust into his hand to prevent such a thing. He stares down at it, dumbly.]

Oooh. Well, actually you're rather a cuddly looking….[flying cat-bat-rabbit thing, of some sort. Like a cartoon!] Ah…thank you? But I'm not quite sure who you are or…why I'm here.

My name is unimportant Kupo! Let's get you to somewhere safe, Kupo!

[ooc: If you feel like running into him and his "escort" in Traverse Town, feel free!]

If this is a joke, it's a really terrible one.

[And Winry would not be happy at all to anyone who would think this was funny.]

At least you didn't come here before now, so hopefully you'll be able to settle into the hotel much sooner.

Traverse Town is usually the first world new arrivals arrive in, but sir I can assure you this is no joke. It's a little too...extreme for that.

[Lizzie had been busy trying to get things sorted as she wandered around, basket in hand filled with various things. But she knew the booklet was of yet, unfinished. Upon spotting the moogles and what appeared to be a new arrival, she made her way over.]

Let me help.

It's not a dream I'm sorry to say, but until your world is back, I'll be willing to help you.

I'm sure people have said this already, but it's not a dream.

Hm. Is that so? But I don't know what you mean by "settle". I don't expect I'll be here long. Or at least, I should hope I will not be.

[There's a considerate pause as he sees what appears to be a young woman on the screen, opening his single eye to gaze wearily at her.]

Would you please tell me, Miss...? Where I am, exactly? So I might find a way to return to my Kingdom?

"Traverse" Town, indeed. It would seem I am a long way from home...Or from what I understand.

...First world?

[He shifts, as if uncomfortable. Clearly this news is troubling.]

What is it then? And who are you?

[Pegasus wasn't in his right mind enough to protest much, but...he was attempting to level himself enough to ask questions.]

[He was busily trying to tell them that all the fuss wasn't really necessary and moving about too much for the moogles' liking, who were flying about him like a flock of birds, almost. It was nearly comical, since he couldn't help but think how cute they were. The way they'd been so dramatic about bandaging him up was telling, too.]

Well, I suppose I can come along, given you seem harmless and cute but...Really, this...isn't necessary. Couldn't you just tell me how to get home?

Kupo...! You need to come with us, Kupo!

Erm, pardon me?

[He's distracted suddenly by the appearance of what appeared to be an adorable girl with bright green eyes, catching his attention almost immediately.]

Oh...Hello.

....I don't understand. Who are all you people?

Well whatever it is, it's beginning to get on my nerves. I'd rather be at home now.

[He's getting a little irritated with how everyone seems to be in on a secret he doesn't know about.]

[ she comes out of a building with a moogle following behind her. the moogle is most likely going to come talk to Pegasus, but Cheza is going to stay back and look in his direction ]

The moogles will want to tell you what happened. This one does not know as much as they do.

[ humming to herself, she begins to walk away softly and quietly - he's welcome to follow or just think she's weird XD ]

"Moogles"? Is that what they're called?

[He looks back to them for a moment before at what appears a rather unique-looking girl with the moogle in tow, curious.

Given the opportunity he does attempt to follow her as he has managed to stand at this point, though his legs are a bit unsteady still.]

...Ah, excuse me? Please wait..!

[His arm extends, the tall, silvery-haired man seemingly confused.]

Who are you...? Why am I here?...Is it Cyndia? Has she brought me here?

[ she stops, turning back to him. the moogle lets him know that his world was taken over by darkness and the usual stuff. Cheza blinks as her expression is just as confused as his as she puts a hand to her chest ]

This one is called Cheza... Who is...Cyndia?

I'd...rather like to see her. [He speaks slowly, his words hushed before his hands trembled, a sort of anticipation in his features as if she might lead him to her that very moment. He doesn't know what it means but a small hope in him flourished that called to him. He desperately wanted to see her again.]

I...don't understand. What are you talking about? "Darkness"? Y-you can't mean...The Realm of Shadow..Then I really am...?

[His voice is strained, and his brows pinch worriedly. That's awfully what it sounds like. The World of Darkness..."The Shadow Realm". The place where souls are sent..He can't even bring himself to say the word "dead".

Pegasus' face falls, and he swallows. He never gets to answer her question before the moogle interrupted with that entire explanation. And now he's slowly becoming convinced that his mind, body, and soul must have been too drained. Had he overdone it?]

A-ah...

[The entire situation baffles him even more the harder he tries to wrap his head about it, and he wanes...paling.]

I—"This one"?...Cheza? You do not know who she is...? Oh...Do you know anyone I might speak to who would know where she was? I am Pegasus. Pegasus Crawford.

Negotiate? Oh I really don't think that is a good idea. The heartless are not very good at communicating. Hasn't a moogle been by to explain everything to you yet?

This one is unsure... If the moogles do not know, then it would be best to hope that she arrives later. Nothing has happened to your friend.

She is...lost. [ she nods, smiling. she's trying her best to make him feel better. she can hear in his voice that he's very upset ]

For now, you should rest while you wait. There are many nice people here. This one...will show you around. [ she reaches a hand out, touching his arm and then moving her hand to take his ]

I don't suppose you've ever heard of checking your facts? And while moogles are rather cute, that doesn't mean there isn't more to the story.

[Ciel so no reason in really bothering with the newcomer save for the fact that he might offer a mild distraction after a tiring week]

It's a bit premature to start negotiating. [Even though the Earl might appear like an ordinary child he was still a businessman.]

Especially when there are plenty of volunteers that will readily offer you information for nothing.

I, um... well, I guess talking to people like you decided to do would be much safer than the heartless. But the moogles would never lie about anything! I can tell you that everything they said about your world disappearing is very true!

[He repeats, though strangely is comforted by that notion. Of course she couldn't be here...If that were true. It makes his heart throb and he cannot help but look a little sorrowful for it, but he'll muster a last bit of fortitude. Surely someone had to know...? "His world" in darkness? What an earful...He could scarcely believe such a thing could be possible.

The touch startles him but he doesn't pull away. He doesn't...know what else to do. Pegasus himself is lost. It's a disquieting notion. So it was that he let the hand clasp his own, disarmed and yet a little uneasy by it. She seemed so child-like that however tentative his trust he had to hold on to her.]

Where are we going to go...?

I take it you are not one of them.

[A distraction..? Oh, Pegasus is not going to like that. Not one bit. He isn't here for anyone's "entertainment". He himself is a businessman, and quite familiar with such methods. Two can play that game!]

Why not? You never know what sort of perks you might get if you throw in a little offer.

They are bad because they attack people and try to steal their hearts! And... well, the worlds too. They also attack them and try to steal the heart of the world, which really doesn't make much sense, but if they do find it that is when a world disappears!

[Sae is a very honest girl and she does try to answer all of his questions truthfully... but she is also a huge derp whose thoughts get a little scrambled sometimes. So she says all of this very quickly trying to get it all out before she thinks of something else she just has to say. ]
