[ levels a stare with rumpel as he laughs. he's not all that menacing in his birdie form and can sometimes be borderline adorable. he hates it. as his friend seems to realize it's him he squawks. sits up and puffs out his chest to reveal several little injuries. spreads his wings a moment later to reveal a similar pattern of marks. it doesn't look as bad in this form, and the smaller body allows him to heal faster. once they go away he'll return to normal. that, and this form is easier to travel in. it doesn't look as supicious to see a crow flying about. ]
