[ oh, hadn't this been expertly timed. masane's arrival just so happened to coincide with the noxious mist that had been plaguing the worlds for the past week or so. not that she had been any sort of aware of this, ...at least not until she'd been spat out into traverse town. ]

[ but she'd not even gotten a moment to get her bearings when the jewel on her wrist started to glow. it erupted in a brilliant crimson burst and, to protect its host, transformed her into the witchblade. it wasn't all that hard to tell that the mist was dangerous and, as such, it wouldn't do her any good to succumb to its detrimental effects. she didn't know what they were and, truthfully, she didn't need to know. she just had to keep herself relatively safe until she could make some sense of this... ]

[ as eyes of amber scanned the haze ridden horizon masane could not help but to purr in absolute delight. ] I can feel it, ooh. [ a shudder. ] So much power lies in this world. [ a metal clink! followed each and every step she took as she moved throughout town. there's not a soul in sight and yet, still, she can feel several people and creatures nearby. ]

...this isn't any fun, [ the sensations proliferating from not only the mist, but also those around her is absolutely maddening and it must be dampened. it must be stopped. it must be destroyed. ] come on out and play. [ and with a subtle tonal incline she's leaping atop a nearby roof and disappearing into the mist with a bubbly chuckle. ]

( ooc | since the mist is still out and about i thought i would throw masane out there. i plan on making the original intro post i had made up later on, after the event's concluded. feel free to assume that she's one of the things that's been going bump in the night. )

[As the lady landed on her second rooftop a distinctive beep followed soon after by a bemused chuckle broke the awkward silence that this fog had caused in the town. ]

You are the one thing in this place that is real.

[The Commander stepped out of the dense fog but spared a glance at his scanning device one more time to be sure. ]

And a magic user as well? I thought most people would be hiding indoors by now.

[ as the beep sounds masane spins around and comes to a sudden halt. she narrows a stare upon the man standing not even a few feet from her. ]

Real, ...of course I'm real. [ sizes eagle up as she takes a step closer. ] ...and you look pretty real yourself. [ she licks her lips and gives a chuckle. ]

It's not what I would call magic. [ but she's not going to elaborate because what. ] Is thatwhere everybody is? Hiding? [ suspensions confirmed. ] Now why would they be hiding from a little fog?

It isn't so much the fog as the illusions that can come out of the fog that are the real trouble. Especially for people who can't tell the difference, it can be really difficult to fight back against some one you really care about.

[He should know. Being out in the fog for very long one did find themselves facing their greatest fears and doubts. Luckily Eagle's scanner did give him an edge so he could tell what was actually real or not. ]

Have you just arrived? The fog has been in town for a while, I find it hard to believe you wouldn't have heard of it before now.

[And yes, it was still a possibility that she was some how connected to the fog herself... maybe she was even the one who created it? ]

[ as he explained the mist in detail a smirk split her face. interesting. but it also sounded like a twisted fairytale. a manipulative mist ..? the notion, itself, was laughable. she refrained from mocking it outright, because as stupid as it sounded he was being nice and sincere. ] I bet.

[ she purred as she drew ever closer. ] Maybe. But is that of any real importance?

Of all the v-tech picking places to end up... [Caldina muttered, leaning against the side of a building for some support. That man had told her to stay put, and she rightly intended to. But... something strange met her ears]

[clink]

Is.... someone out there? [Now.. she wasn't the type to get spooked easily... but the mist, the strange new world, and the additional percussion sounds were doing an excellent job at making her a tad more on edge]

[CLINK]

[Peering into the darkness, she silenced herself, waiting for whatever might come out of that fog..]

[CLINK]

[And then.....it stopped?]

I sure wouldn't mind one bit if that guy would hurry up..

[Oh great. Just what we needed a psychotic scantily clad woman with murderous intent. Is she.. one of the illusions? ~~Because that combination could easily be one of his nightmares~~]

You can bluster about all you like, but you'll disappear with the rest of the apparitions when this whole thing blow over..

[Yeah, we'll go with illusion.. but whose illusion was it?]

[ as she reached the roof she knelt down and took another deep breath. oh. _ooh. this was certainly... new. it seemed like somebody else had just phased in out of thin air. this place was strange, and that was putting it mildly. ]

[ a smirk caught her lips as she peered over the edge xx her perch. ] But what about little old me? [ and she leapt down and landed right at the girl's side. masane all but shuddered as she looked at her. she didn't see like much, but there was definitely something special about her... it's just she couldn't place what it was. ] It's not safe to be outside you know, ...

Give me a break..

[Icy huffed as another cloud of mist drew near her. She hand out a hand and tilted her head to one side]

Ice Wall! [Her mastery over frozen water was coming in handy here. The mist solidified into a bizarre shape before shattering harmlessly on the ground. The mist will fill in the gaps almost as swiftly as she closed them but at least this way she could clear a path for herself..]

Is this some lame sort of comeback from that miserable excuse for a sorceress? [Icy held no great love for her competition but was using the atmosphere to her advantage. With everyone distracted she could search the worlds for just what she needed unencumbered]

[Catching some motion from up above... she levitated into the air to investigate.]

I thought you were all cowering inside... show yourself!

[ masane resents that. ~~and just who are you calling a nightmare you little brat!~~ ] _oh, But I don't plan on going anywhere. I think I like it here. [ she brings the communicator closer to her face as she flicks her tongue at him. ] Don't have a problem with that, do you?

[The clinking was the first thing to catch Obi-Wan's attention, then the voice that followed it. It was enough to make him wary and pluck the rebreather out of his mouth. It didn't protect him from the mist, but it slowed its effects somewhat and even that small benefit was one he intended to take advantage of. At the moment, however, he's sort of expecting a fight.]

Oh, wonderful. Another foe from the darkness?

[He tries to reach out and sense the presence with the Force, but the fog leaves his senses terribly muddled and with no more answers than he had to begin with. Instead, he uses the Force in a way he knows it'll work and springs up onto a roof with a fluid jump, hand near his lightsaber.]

If you're looking to pick a fight, creature...

[Well, he ain't going anywhere.]

[ as masane continued to hop along the tops of the roofs she couldn't help but overheard a bit of commotion. since she couldn't outright ignore it she spun around and took it upon herself to investigate. moving past the scene in one fell swoop she noticed another strange being. this one, however, had been openly displaying her powers. how... delicious. ]

[ coming to a stop masane looked over her shoulder as the girl took to shouting. ] I don't cower. [ was all she said before she leapt from the roof to a spot a few feet from icy. ] I have no reason to be inside besides... it's much more fun out here.

[ another bite. a smirk promptly befell masane's face as she could feel the faint emission of power from this new individual envelop her. it was nothing like she'd ever come across before... certainly stronger than an ex-con. the power emanating from this person seemed to rival that of the neo-genes, but, of course, she couldn't be all that sure of that without a proper evaluation. ]

[ making one final leap masane spun on her heels and looked around. her keen senses aside, she still found it difficult to pinpoint this person in this despicable mess. but she, thankfully, didn't have to try all that hard as he made himself known by joining her on the roof. ] wow, [ she's sizing him up and not even bothering to hide the smile that's pursing her lips. ] I didn't think you'd be this cute, but is that any way to speak to a ~lady?

[In the state that she was in it was far to easy to sneak up on her. When Masane dropped down beside her Caldina jumped to put some space between them and instantly regretted it. She sucked in a sharp breath of air as pain seared through her body.]

Now why did you up and do that?!

[With one more deep breath, she settled herself down enough to look at this woman]

I am starting to get that impression... just who might you be?

It is, since I have been searching for the source of this magical fog...

[Was she behind it? ]

And because you might become effected by it too if you stay out in it too long.

[But, if she wasn't she still needed to be warned. ]

If you can find a relatively draft free building it does offer some protection from the fog.

[Even with doubts Eagle watched her approach very carefully. So far she hadn't seemed like a threat but it was better to keep your guard up in these situations. ]

I am Commander Eagle Vision from Autozam. Do you need help finding some place safe to stay?

[That's the impression you inspired. ~~YOU~~] .. You won't have a choice. [Ew. Despite not being anywhere near her tongue, he instinctively drew back away from it] So long as it doesn't effect me.. I don't care what you do.

[A response? Finally. She scanned the rooftops to find the owner of said voice.. only to find Masane much closer than expected.] That makes all.... two of us.

I've never seen you around here before... who are you? [Her tones were lacking any sort of politeness and were dripping with an inquisitive air.]

[ no need to be so brutally honest. hmph! ] I most certainly do. [ a laugh follows. this kid was something else. ] You're a strange one. [ and it's definitely going to involve you now, ciel. you're peaked her interests, and she's coming for you. ] ...and if it affects you?

...as much as I appreciate your concern I don't plan on going inside. I like it out there. [ and she had nowhere to go. refrains from mentioning that though because this is just too much fun. ]

Commander Eagle... [ and her smirk broadens. ] no, no thank you. I am safe right here. [ cants her head. ] But you, on the other hand, ...you may want to take cover.

[ as caldina jumps back masane just stands there. she didn't regret frightening her. in fact it amused her. she let the smile crawl across her face as she replied. ] Because I don't think climbing down the fire escape would have been nearly as showy.

[ that next question causes her to pause and she gives a shrug. ] ...you can call me the Witchblade.

[He did want to ask her more questions, at least find out her name but...

Cover from... what?

A silent unspoken mental command to his device was sent, since he really didn't have an idea from which direction this warning might have been meant. ]

[ isn't this a pleasant sort of surprise. ] I didn't think I would find somebody else that's out in this mist voluntarily. [ even more reason to be curious about icy. but, to be fair, masane had seen her powers and that had shed a bit of light on her reasons for being out. the mist was a lot less threatening when you could basically manipulate it to your heart's content. ]

[ she smirks. ] ...you can call me the Witchblade.

It's not safe out here, right, [ going to give his chin and tap once she gets in range. ] I would hate for a handsome little thing like you to get hurt.

...and you said it yourself, you can never be too sure about the sorts of things lurking out here in the mist.

Now I enjoy making a spectacular entrance as much as the next gal, but sometimes you need to tweak it based on the situation. [She explained to the other woman, but Masane didn't seem to care what she'd done]

[And I thought the magic knights had strange names] Is.. that some sort of stage name?

[You even have yellow glowing eyes like a heartless. He didn't pay her posturing much heed.] I've been called worse. [~~What have I done now~~] You'll be dealt with accordingly.

[It's intriguing anyway] Neither did I. [Isn't it delicious how those people who had scoffed and jeered at her didn't possess such an ability? Not that Masane would have known about that.]

[Wut? "witch" blade?] The name's Icy. [I'm a real witch... so.. what are you?]
