We can't wait anymore.

[The look on Leon's face is grave and it looks like he's got a slip of paper in his other hand. The seal of the King is on it and there's an equally grave message within; each of the keyblade bearers -- Kairi, Ventus, Aqua, and Terra -- should have gotten one, as well.]

Each time something happens, it's gotten worse. We were still reeling from the attack on Disney Castle, and now this mist has chipped away at our stability. Our enemy is ruthless. We can't wait to regain our footing. The time to act is now.

[He holds up the letter, showing it to the network.]

I received a letter from the King. There's something out there, an entity unlike anything we've ever fought before. A terrible and great darkness... The King says he's not sure if even the keyblades can stand up against it. But he does know that it's fueling Maleficent with her power. That's why she's been able to cast spells that affect every world in our kingdom here.

If this... thing is just continuing to give Maleficent her power, we don't have any time to lose. We need to organize an attack while we have a chance. I'm going to need the keyblade bearers to help lead this. The World That Never Was is massive and filled with Heartless and who knows what other creatures. We can't just charge in as one big group. We need a plan.

I need to know who wants to help and what you can do so I can prepare. In three days, we'll hold a meeting in Radiant Garden at the town square. We'll make a plan then.

Good. That's all I needed to know. I don't know a lot of magic myself, but a Cure spell is necessary. We'll practice that, too.

...Have you been in a battlefield before? Assaulting a castle and practicing fencing are two completely different things.

Whelp. Compared to some of the other things I've seen so far around here I guess it isn't that great a stretch of the imagination.

Whoever did needs to look up the meaning of the word "oxymoron".

No I haven't, but I am making plans to get help on that one. I want to help those I care about, but I can't if I just stand around, right?

I thought it would be the best one to learn first to help people. Though actually learning magic isn't as easy as I first expected.

I am a mage and I was one of the most powerful ones where I'm from.

[She isn't really, her Persona does the magic, but it's still a summoning type of magic.]

It depends on what one would call it. In the books I read, one here might class it as a summoning type. The summon itself has various types of magic, but mostly in the Light and Dark areas.

You mean the place with all the giant red things?

[ Admittedly, talking with Leon after him mistaking her for Kairi is just downright awkward. But with everything going wrong as it's been, helping takes precedence over her fears. She'll probably be flailing over this later, but for now? She knows they need all the hands they can get.

And what better hand in this than someone like her- for once, perhaps. Her voice is much firmer than last time when it comes. ]

I want to help, too. [ She'd like to mention all the other fun stuff like knowing Never Was... well. Fairly well. But she would rather discuss that little detail in person. ]

You mean buffers? Of course, I can potions to lift spirits, raise strength, endurance, speed- of course with some proper warning. Some take a few days to brew.

This is coming from the guy who jumped on a gummi ship to try and save a very pretty girl without checking if she was still there. [She had to add the pretty part. She's drawling in her town in tease.]

That won't be a problem. We need a chance to recuperate from that mist and to form a plan. You have plenty of time.

Hey, you fell unconscious. What was I supposed to do, wait and yell at you until you woke up? You could have been hurt by then. That's not a risk I was willing to take.

Fine, that one instance was rash. [How come you never let him win, Mai? 8|] It takes more than some mist and facing my fears to take me down. At least you didn't have to deal with it for very long.

[He can go without seeing Mai's fears or having her suffer from them; he almost wonders if she even has any.]

[Believe it or not, she does. But she's still not going to let you think she has a weakness.]

I wouldn't know what would have happened to me. That's a really long guess.
