[When the feed flicks on it reveals Ciel standing before the camera in what is obviously the flower shop. Grasped between his fingers is an egg, but it looks a bit peculiar, and is definitely not a chicken egg]

Who do I have to… thank .... for this?

[He’d received the thing from one of Hermes’s deliveries but there was no return address, nor would Hermes divulge the sender. Not being all that familiar with Pokemon he really didn‘t know what to make of it and was liable just to have Sebastian use it in an omelet ]

You’re a bit early. Easter is nearly five months away.

[Seriously. Why would anyone send someone an egg in such a manner? It had Ciel completely baffled with it’s absurdity]

Someone must of worked hard on that egg. Though I don't think I've seen an egg that big before.

That's a nice egg you got there. [You know if you try and break it odds are it might just pop out earlier. have fun with that.]

That is a cute egg~ I wonder who made it. [She was curious now but she couldn't help but smile at the egg, such a cute egg.]

[It was an unusual hue.. but it also didn't seem to be dyed, or painted. Unless the shell just absorbed the color quite flawlessly which was entirely possible]

Are you familiar with a bird called an ostrich? They are able to produce eggs of this size, though I was unaware that any were present in these worlds.

[he looked thoughtfully at the egg]

From the Pridelands, perhaps?

[Or that it will be underdeveloped and come out at a gooey mess. EW D:.. don't do it Ciel!]

It is just an egg. [Nothing to really get excited about. The mystery of where it came from, intrigued him more. It was so long since he'd had any mystery to solve.]

Any idea where it might have come from?

[He had thought that maybe it had been Lizzie's handiwork, but... with her response he could rule her out]

Perhaps it is a native egg from one of the many lands this world has to offer. How it ended up in your possession, though, is quite interesting indeed.

( but then again, that word he used is interesting too... )

What might you mean by ... Easter?

( they don't have Easter in the world she's from )

So what's your favorite way to eat an egg?

[ Not that he's suggesting you do so. ]

[ an egg. isn't that thoughtful. sebastian refrains from rolling his eyes as he turns his attention from the gift to his master. ] It could be on of those pesky pokémon eggs... [ a shrug. ] In any case I'm sure it would make a lovely breakfast. [ >3 ]

I have heard of them, but I had never seen one in person.

[Unsure how a pokemon egg works, it's a mystery.]

I don't know, creatures seem to leave those eggs everywhere.

Pokemon? [Elizabeth possessed one of those, but given it's canine like features it had never occurred to him that it might have come out of an egg at some point] Do they have species that would be produced from eggs? [Like a reptile or a bird? He's only seen Vulpix and Eevee and those must be like mammals right?]

To be perfectly honest, I prefer them in cake.

[A light smile played at the corner of his lips. Sweets were much more appealing than the egg itself]

[ and it is a real big egg. a single chick hadn't been the most practical of guesses. it could be a dozen chicks though! ...or a full grown hen or rooster. ~~cut it out masane. you're not going to get it.~~ ] No? ...well it is a lot of work. I don't blame you. [ scratches her cheek. ] Have you found anybody willing to take it?

...all of them. [ as odd as that is. he's not going to give it much thought. ] I am certain that all pokémon come from eggs. I wouldn't bother trying to make sense of it, my Lord, as there's not to be had. [ fff. ] ...do you doubt my abilities? [ i can make anything taste good. ]

I had considered that it might have originated in the Pridelands. [Though one was turned into an animal when they visited that land. Who could have gone in and brought the egg out safely in that condition?] Hermes wouldn't say who had asked him to send it to me, so before that point I'm at a loss.

Easter is a holiday from my world. [He wasn't all that religious himself and didn't want to get into the story behind it.] One of the traditions is to take colorful eggs like this and hide them for children to locate.

[he wasn't sure what her answer would be, but after she decided it he wouldn't make the offer a second time] Indeed. I wonder if I will ever figure out who the sender was.

Creatures? [After a moment's pause he read that as..] Like those Pokemon? [Courtesy of Sebastian's conversation, otherwise he wouldn't have thought of Pokemon at all]

[He examined the egg a little further.. but there didn't seem to be any symbolic meaning to it either unless the sender was trying to imply that Ciel had "laid an egg" .. a phrase meaning that one messed something up. Ugh, he was probably trying to read more into it than there was. Sometimes an egg is just an egg]

A pity it didn't come with some sort of note. [He could have had the handwriting analyzed..]

There is a world here where you could but I wouldn't recommenced going to it.

[Wut? He pauses, allowing his butler to proceed with the egg-xplanation.] I'd never made it a point to research those beasts. [They were just pets, after all]

[Oh did you find that offensive? >3] It's more a concern that the flavor could be different than the sort of ingredients available in our own world. [Or that I'd have to cook it myself 8/.. that would make it instantly suck]

[A dozen chicks in one egg? How many sci fis have you been watching? Not that we have those in my time] Not as of yet. The alternative would be cooking it but if it is a viable egg... I doubt that would be the [most socially acceptable] best solution.

Would you care to have it?

[ ...no. more. puns. ] It's not all that important, this information, ...and most people here keep them as pets besides. [ idiots. the creatures can be quite powerful if, of course, trained properly. ] I am well aware that it might be different... but even still I am sure I can make it taste delicious. [ let's crack it open! ~~he's not going to argue that point. fufufu.~~ ]
