[Though standing quite calm, one can see the unnerved and concerned thought behind the eyes of the young man who has just appeared on the feed. He looks tired, but he bows his head politely in greeting.]

Hello there. It's become apparent to me that I am among the many new arrivals here. ...I felt a very powerful disturbance in the Force before I awoke in this place-- it was unlike anything I've ever felt before. Sten, the moogle that greeted me, told me that no one is certain of the source, though... Is all of that accurate so far?

[He comes to an abrupt pause, looking very weary. Even more than he had before. It's almost as if he's falling ill; he brings a hand to his chest, taking a moment to breath in deeply.]

--Forgive me. [He's not felt so much loss before. Entire worlds, gone in a matter of moments in such an unnatural way. It's a terrible thought and it makes his heart contract in pain, just thinking about all the lives that have suddenly vanished. There's a reason for everything, but this--... It doesn't feel like the path the Force intended. So much of it affects him greatly, but he makes a point to recover quickly.] I was also told there may be a way to save these worlds and that many of you have been here for a lot longer. If anyone who is listening wouldn't mind answering some of my questions, I would appreciate it.

I'm afraid I am not familiar with those names, but I'll try to answer questions if I am able.

[Selphie looks at Obi-Wan with concern but smiles in relief as he seems to pull himself together.]

I've not heard of either of those you mentioned. Yet I'll answer your questions, given I'm able.

I'm all right, thank you. --It's not a silly question. In short, it is what holds the world I'm from together. It's apart of us and all living things. There are also those who are Force-sensitive and can use and sense the Force.

I had suspected as much. No one else has either, nor have I received a reply from any others from my world. Nevertheless, thank you for informing me.

Would you be able to tell me more about these "Heartless" and the Darkness behind all this? I was unable to gather much information from others.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fictional character from a movie series. Nothing more.

[Of course… Mickey and Minnie Mouse are supposed to be fictional too… and didn’t he just meet a unicorn?!
He is beginning to have some doubts here himself.]

Gummi ships? I'll have to investigate. So worlds have been spared, then.

Have you had a chance to travel to any of them, yet?

I would very much like to help in doing so. Many things. First, you are taught to sense the things around you. Environment, people, wildlife. It's important to the Jedi to be able to understand the world around them-- to be in tune to it. Even now, I can feel the disturbances from the worlds lost to this Darkness.

Jedi are also trained in combat to use their abilities to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Most commonly, we are trained in telekinesis; the Force allows us to feel out an object and will it to move. Some even train to send waves of power through the air. Like a shockwave.

Ah-- please stop me if I'm rambling.

That's alright. I appreciate the knowledge. It's best I don't pry, I suppose.

How odd. I can assure you I'm very much real, but I suppose that makes little difference if you're convinced otherwise.

A select few. Or perhaps they were reclaimed from the darkness. I have not traveled to them myself, but I have heard of some- a world underwater, a jungle, a world known as the Land of Dragons, among others.

But how can a Jedi sense all that and...well, stay sane?

Unfortunately that's because we've yet to learn much of them. The "Heartless" are physical embodiments of Darkness, so far as I can tell. They can take many forms, and spring out of shadows. As for the Darkness and what might control it...

I don't know. And, as far as I'm aware, no one else does either. Fighters from other worlds are unable to banish Darkness and Heartless, and we've been told that only a special blade can do as much. I've been here for months and it's disheartening, even to me.

It sort of becomes a part of us. It's like an extension of all of our senses-- eyes, ears, touch... If nothing else, it functions much like a sixth sense, allowing us to sense danger when it is near, or to see things before they happen. Other things.

It's not easy. I'm still an apprentice, myself-- and I am still learning much about that branch of the Force. Well, I have a lot to learn in general. There is still much I don't know.

I see! Well, I suppose I ought to stop badgering you with questions, then. I'm sure you have more important things to attend to. Thank you for your time and information. I truly appreciate it.
