Another Nightmare
Mm hmm. Mm hmm mm. [A large mouse rat wearing a fine suit was circling Basil trying to fight back a laugh at the others expense…. And not fighting it very hard] Mm wha ha ha ha ha! Did you honestly think you could defeat me. Me?
England’s.. no the world’s greatest criminal mastermind?
[Basil narrowed his eyes and refused to give Ratigan the satisfaction of offering much of a reaction, his fists clenched at his sides]
Come now, come now…you aren’t even going to respond? Where’s one of your self righteous speeches, hmm Basil?
[Finally he responded]
The fact remains, for now… England is safe and your plans were thwarted. Furthermore, the populace is aware of you and your diabolical schemes. They will not fall for the same tricks in tbe future Ratigan. Maybe it won’t be today… or tomorrow but some day your nefarious deeds will catch up with you and you will be stopped once and for all.
[Ratigan looks far from moved. His smug expression faded if only for a moment]
You just can’t admit it can you… you can’t admit that I’ve bested you, again. No matter…
[He draws out a little bell, his surrounding minions look furtively to either side]
Bring tubby over here….
[Its revealed that he also had Dr. Dawson captured.]
Dawson! Leave him out of this.. You .. You fiend!
[With a sneer.. Ratigan rang the bell. An overfed cat marched closer.. Intent on swallowing Basil’s assistant.. And there was nothing he could do about it….. Not that he wouldn’t try]
