[When the feed clicks on, the device is being held by a tall woman, her dark hair pulled back from her face and dress obviously that of a warrior. Her face is stony as she speaks into the video screen, either already used to such a device or - more likely - simply not caring how it works as long as it produces the result the small furred creature said it would.]

My name is Sif. I am a resident of Asgard, one of its defenders against the forces of the cold and dark. I seek news of my companions, known as the Warriors Three - Fandral, Volstagg, and Hogun. They should be unmistakeable if they are here.

[She pauses briefly, and then continues.]

I am also searching for Thor, son of Odin. If you have news of any of these people, then it would be of great service to myself and our realms if you would relate it to me over this device. I shall begin searching on my own, but I will not refuse help sincerely offered. Thank you.

[And with a short nod of her head that manages to look more like a bow, she turns the device off.]

I'm fairly certain I saw something from a guy calling himself Thor. Haven't heard a thing about the other three, though.

[Her face lifts at that news, but then falls back again before the young woman finishes speaking. Sif nods her head again, accepting the words though still determined to find her companions.]

I thank you. If you should hear from Thor before I do, would you please tell him that Sif is looking for him?

I could.

If you seek Thor, he is here, alongside a woman named Jane. I haven't heard of the others, though. I'm sorry, but I'm sure they'll come in time.

Jane? [The name is unfamiliar to her, and she shakes it off.] How can you be sure? If the Bifrost is broken, they could be lost to the reaches of space.

[Not something she likes, but something she's being forced to accept as possible.]

I'm not, but I'm also not willing to give up hope so quickly, even in those I don't know.

They would not fall so easily to anyone's machinations. If they are lost, then we will find them.

[But she's still worried about the fact that she arrived alone, because she knows they all set out together.]

[She nods; this woman has a strong personality which is something Padmé appreciates, even if it makes it more difficult to explain things from the onset.]

If they're anything like you, they'll be fine. It's also possible that people you know can come from the Darkness at different times. A very good friend of mine has appeared from a time ten years in the past for me, and there's another man from twenty years in the future. This galaxy is a strange one.

A man called Thor is here. I'm certain he'll contact you.

He is? Then we- I have arrived at the correct place, at least. I thank you for your aid.

You're very welcome. Most people tend to stay near where you are right now. You might be able to find him at the hotel, too.

We cannot stay here. There is an emergency at our homeland, and we must return as soon as we possibly can.

I'm sorry. If you're here, your homeland was already lost to the Darkness. You, too, are looking for a way to restore it.

Our home has not been lost to anything, but it is on the verge of war. We cannot afford to not have Thor with us when it begins, and I will obey my sworn duty to protect it.

[She's starting to get a bit obviously peeved, but for the moment she's keeping it in control.]

I'm sorry. I know it's difficult to believe, but it's true. [She'd be gentler about it, but accepting it is the first step towards starting to work to bring them back.]

Thor! [THANK ODIN she was afraid she would have to search forever!] There is an emergency in Asgard - we must return home!

There's a guy here going by Thor. He's hard to miss. He has to be yours, right? I can't imagine there are many people walking around with that name.
