002 ♫ Music
[There is a heavy sigh before Zoisite lifts his hands to the piano (he's seated at one, in a nondescript room with billowing curtains at its windows). He closes his eyes.
Just as he's done every day, almost every moment, since arriving in this configuration of worlds, he reaches out through his music. He reaches through each communicator that the song passes through, feeling his way for Endymion's presence.
The piece is constant, steady, flying through its higher notes with amazing runs and arpeggios; to the listeners, it's likely to bring nostalgia and thoughts of times long past - childhood moments half forgotten, old friends and lovers. Zoisite opens his eyes.
Again, there is nothing. He cannot sense Endymion. The music shifts its mood, seamlessly. He speaks without interrupting the deft, sure movement of his hands, almost to himself.]
My music should also be able to repel these Heartless.

My music should also be able to repel these Heartless.
[Action]
I am ready.
I will wager I will surpass you in this exercise.
[Action]
You? Surpass me? Such a day will never come.
[And yet he would mock (and encourage) this from Nephrite and Jadeite.]
[Action]
They will come to me if I wish it. I will take them one by one.
[This is going to be a fun outing. Congratulations on getting him out of his room, Kunzite!]
[Action]
And I will destroy them, one by one. [Really, where did the younger two learn this from? No idea. None.]
[Action]
You will not poach my targets. [This, he says calmly as ever, but he takes his hand away and heads towards the door.]
[Action]
[Action]
[But despite the banter, he is coming out for a reason. He has no doubts of his abilities, of course not; but he wants to determine exactly what will drive the Heartless off, if they cannot be destroyed. His music may be better than his dagger, here.]
Where shall we go?
[Action]
There's an oasis outside of the city. I don't see them there very often, but I have found Heartless there.
[He's going to assume Zoisite understand who they are.]
[Action]
manly businessother matters to discuss.]Very well.
[He heads towards the city outskirts, just behind Kunzite. Minutes pass in silence before he breaks it.]
Nephrite has still refused to hear us. [Read: Nephrite has sent youma after him and attacked him.]
[Action]
comforting?nostalgic?normal about having Zoisite following behind him. He's always been the leader, always had them behind him. Except in the Dark Kingdom, and then he was acting on his own, for his own need.He frowns at what Zoisite says.]
Nephrite is stubborn, whatever reality he might be from.
[He casts a look back at Zoisite. He seems uninjured, but he knows very well that could mean little.]
It will take time. In his world, Zoisite tried to kill him. He doesn't understand. [And under that, he expects Zoisite to realize that he doesn't mean for either of them to back off. Nephrite will never remember himself if they give up on him.
Look, Zoisite, a convert.]
[Action]
[It's not, precisely, a protest. Perhaps it is a defense of his constant efforts, which have rarely been greeted enthusiastically; but he appreciates Kunzite's own efforts to accept them.]
There is also the human girl. He is involved with her.
[And that, as bizarre as it seems that Nephrite would fall in love with a human, means further troubles.]
He will be even more stubborn if he intends to protect her. If he thinks he is protecting her from us. She knows what happened in his world.
['At my hands', he doesn't say. It is his own guilt to bear.]
[Action]
He makes no comment, though, on Nephrite chasing a human girl. Who are they to talk, chasing after the reborn senshi as they are? It's not chasing when you are reclaiming what was yours, of course.]
Then we might consider proving to her that we have no ill intentions towards her. [Do you hear that annoyance, Zoisite? This is how much he cares about his boys; he's willing to show some stupid human that they mean her no harm.]
[Action]
She would be weak against the Heartless. If my music repels them, that may be a useful gift to demonstrate this to him.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[He frowns slightly.]
What do you plan, Zoisite?
[Action]
Only my offer. It is for them to decide how to receive it. [Naru, at least, seems receptive to speaking with him; and he is not above going through her to reach Nephrite.]
[Action]
Keep me informed. [He assumes Zoisite would, of course. He is just voicing his consent for his plan.]
[Action]
Let us first exercise ourselves.
[Action]
[Action]
No, instead, a haunting, keening piano melody begins to fill the air. The Heartless nudge backwards uncertainly.]
[Action]
[Action]
Go.
[Several tumble away, some of them holding the spots where their ears should be. A braver few remain. He can change the music - a note, a tempo, a rhythm - to produce better effect soon enough.]
[Action]
[Action]
Are you going to clear out the rest? I know that you want to.
