star_kingdom | A Hero Emerges! - Video (for all)

[Unwittingly, Naru had wandered into the 3rd district in Traverse Town. She didn't think much of it because this world was totally safe right? Looking from side to side she tried to decide whether she should turn around or see what other sorts of establishments might be down this path.]

It's strange, I don't remember seeing this place before.. and I thought I'd been everywhere

[She said to herself. Walking along a little farther she didn't notice that something very short and dark was following her, nor that it was gathering friends.]

There doesn't seem to be much to see though..

[Naru turned to leave, then she first caught sight of the heartless. Gasping, she dropped her bag and the communicator tumbled out, starting to record the scene]

When did you get here? I- I don't want any trouble.... just.. just let me get by and I'll leave you alone.

[The heartless bobbed to and fro and didn't seem to care what she was saying. She'd remembered seeing the creatures just before she arrived here and knew to be leery of them. Quietly, she kneeled down to gather her things, hoping they would just leave her alone. ]

I'll be out of here in no time, real-- Eeeee!!

[ Meanwhile on the other side of Traverse Town!

She'd been having difficulties lately, but she hadn't any idea how to deal with it, or who to talk to. Who could understand what she was going to? Back in Traverse Town, in the hopes that a friend would have shown up, she clutched her hand to her chest, flinching against the familiar build up of power. Just like before, when ...

She staggered to a halt. She could sense things around her - people, moogles ...and heartless. Normally she could keep that power under control, but when she heard a scream, it distracted her. In that moment of distraction, it consumed her - an unearthly scream ripped out of her as she changed, from human to esper.

She felt lighter on her feet - remembering the scream of the girl, she lunged forward, following the sound and the sense of creatures, all but diving into the frey. Hi Naru, have a fiery pink OMGWTFISTHAT beast coming to your aide. She won't stay long. ]

[ooc: The only thing the device picked up was the heartless attack. So those watching could have seen Naru getting attacked, her fiery pink hero and not Terra's transformation. You are welcome to reply over the comm. The red indicates Terra's section, the black is Naru's :3. This is backdated before Naru left Traverse Town]

[Ami's face is horrified; without even being sure where Naru is, she can't get there! This was her exact fear when she'd begged Naru to let them in.]

Naru-chan! Are you alright?!

[There isn't an immediate response as Naru wasn't paying that much attention to her own comm. There are some noises, supposedly of the creatures fighting amongst themselves, and a couple of exclamations from Naru]

Ami? Is that you..?!

I.. I don't know where these all came from..

It's me. I understand your feelings, but please tell me where you are! You need help.

(ooc: also, mind if zoi pops up to wonder why she didn't use the orgel? XD)

It's somewhere in Traverse Town..

I- I don't really know where. I hadn't come down this way before.

[ooc: Actually. This post was backdated in the ooc section ^__^;. She wouldn't have had the orgel yet ^__^;. Otherwise it would have been fine]

I'll come to Traverse Town right away and find you. [This is Mizuno Ami's determined face.]

No wait! If you come here they might attack you too! [This is Naru osaka's concerned face]

[ooc: That's okay XD. I felt bad, because that would have been funny XDD.]

Don't worry about that right now! [Don't make her search for you through town, Naru. She can't let you be hurt.]

Naru!?

[THIS is what he gets for leaving that girl alone for a minute… and no doubt this event will factor into his deciding to take her along with him later. He has to stop, think, and ask the stars… they will let him know just where she is. ]

[She knows that voice. Its one of the last people she would want to worry]

Nephrite?

[The comm falls silent as she grabs the rest of her things and repositions herself further away from the creatures]

It- that creature... seems to be fighting those heartless.

[ Lucky for Naru, Esper Terra recognized her. Unluckily for the heartless, the creature turned her attention to them. Two leapt at her, and she wasn't quick enough to stop her headlong lunge. She slashed at the heartless with a claw, spinning away from another pair and sending flames at the critters. Shoo! Go away! Leave her friend alone! ]

[Naru wasn't exactly sure what was going on here! That creature, to her knowledge, had no reason to leap in and protect her like this. Not to mention that the esper herself was quite fearsome looking in this light. It- it didn't look like the heartless though so... it should be alright. Maybe?]

Watch out! more of them are coming!

[You know..... this creature sort of looked like one of those youma from back home. Could Nephrite have sent it? ~~Lol talking to him later will clue her in that this Esper was not one of his minions~~]

You- can destroy them just like that...? [Said as some of the heartless were swallowed up in flames]

[ Fortunately Terra can understand the speech of people as an esper. Even if she attacks like and looks like a beast.

Once she's chased off or temporarily destroyed a number of the heartless, she stops a short distance from Naru, taking a breather. Okay, so she did the superhero thing, she thinks. But what is she supposed to do next? When she speaks, her voice is a meld of two voices at the same time. ]

Are you okay?

[That certainly is a useful skill to have.

When the heartless retreat, Naru takes a breath and wonders what's to come. It takes her a moment to find her tongue but by then, the creature has already spoken]

Y-yes. I'm alright.

[She can't quite tell whose voice that could be with it meshed like that]

Thank you for rescuing me.

[ She has the best disguise EVER. EV-ER. ]

U-- you're welcome. That's... just what I do.[ AS A SUPERHERO. ]

You should be more cautious. Do you need help getting back to ... where you were staying?

[She certainly does!]

Wow... that sounds so.. cool! [She probably meant to think this instead of say it, but you could tell she was genuinely impressed]

I really should be.. I only need to get back to one of the other districts, I can find my way back from either of those.

What the...? Hey! Are you all right?

[There's a sound of a scuffle in the background at esper Terra is lighting the heartless on fire and ripping through them. Naru takes a step or so backwards and can't draw her eyes away from the fray]

Nn? That thing... was on?

[Then to answer her question]

I'm alright.... right now. This creature came out of no where and it's defeating the heartless..
