So I thought I would do a proper introduction since my last couple of network views have been... less than desirable. [She chuckles and shrugs.] Anyway, I'm Jane Foster! I'm from Puente Antiguo, New Mexico and an astrophysicist. And really... this whole thing about other Worlds and stuff... it's amazing. I wish I could write it all down. But anyway, I'm not sure what sort of help I could offer, but I would like to try!

I can't fight or anything, though. Sorry. Was never trained in that sort of field.

Oh! Also! Why didn't anyone tell me that magic potions actually exist? I was going out to buy some medical supplies and the kids at the Items Shop were very helpful in letting me know what they were all about!

[Seriously, this was like... amazing. She's already made several notes about the new things she's found. A few extra bottles of the potions are on the table next to her, actually.]

What's an astrophysicist?

It's a scientist that studies that physics of the universe. We sort of branch of astronomy and deal with more how things in space behave, interact, and move about.

Oh, thanks! [She laughs in amusement.] Well, I'm not really looking to fight anyway. I doubt I could do much if I did. But I'd like to help, if I can.

Just waving our weapons around blindly isn't going to restore our worlds. I tried it. I think it's going to take more than fighting to return things to the way they were this time. Like...learning about how this place really works, and stuff. Not just accepting what we're told, but figuring out why it does what it does.

Theoretical physics. I worked for NAOJ at their observatories in Mitaka on my world.

And now that you're finished with your absolutely thrilling post, might the injured man have one now?

[Really, she'd made him wait too long; rushing home and blabbering on and on about them and then making that post.]

I'm sorry! I left you one on the table, I thought you heard me say to drink it.

[Maybe she didn't say it at all and only thought she did...]

[He felt just as terrible as he looked. And he knew how bad he looked, it wasn't hard at all to notice himself in a mirror now. Loki stood from his seat, walking over and picking a potion up.]

You babbled so much on your way in I wasn't sure of half of what you said.

Well, better now than later. The kids at the shop told me that broken noses should be a small enough wound to only require one potion. Oh and probably drinking this [She handed him a bottle of water] will help. It tastes bad, apparently.

[Clearly Loki was still upset about that little fact getting overlooked. Just how long had everyone else been here?]

Of course it tastes bad. [Loki sighed, taking the water. But he downed the potion, cringing and shuddering slightly as he did, before cracking the water open and taking a few gulps.] There's been worse. But it is unpleasant.

How do I look? [He turned towards her. Loki didn't feel any pain anymore.]

They do? What sorts of effects do they have? Are the dosages comparable to painkillers available back home? Are they truly magical, or a mixture of herbs?

Well, I don't really have a microscope to study the liquid, to be honest. Just at a glance, I don't see any remnants of herbs. Just that it's liquid and green and tastes terrible.

[She's looking inside an open bottle.]

The dosages are not comparable to painkillers on Earth. You don't need to drink a whole bottle of Tylenol, after all. Potions you do. There are several different kind, apparently. The one I got are the weakest, next is a Hi-Potion and a Mega-Potion. I think the bottles get bigger or the designs different, other than that you still have to drink the whole thing. Or pour it on the wound, whichever is more production given the wound.

[She caps it.]

The effects are immediate and supposedly heal any sort of wound. [She briefly shows Loki who had gone back to reading, remember him? No sign of a broken nose what so ever now.] And are pretty effective if I may say so.

If we could bring something like that back to our world, imagine the good it could do! So many ailments would be able to be treated so much more quickly, and painlessly.

No, just regular medical stuff, I guess. Bandages, antiseptics, things like that. Surgery for the more serious or internal of injuries.

Depends on the battles, actually. Medical technology has advanced over the years and we can treat a lot of wounds granted the person in question receives the right medical attention and at the right time.
