[The feed suddenly flashes on, giving the viewers a sideways glimpse of a young woman. She appears calm, if not a little perplexed by the device in her hand. The moogle corrects her gently.]

You're holding it sideways, kupo. It's on now, though! You can start broadcasting.

[She pauses, correcting the position of the communicator.] I see, now. [A gentle smile crosses her face as she glances down at the moogle.] Thank you. [Alas, the smile is gone by the time she looks back at the communicator. Instead, the look on her face is very grave, even sorrowful.]

I am Zelda, Queen of Hyrule. If what Mogwin tells me is true, then all of our lands have been lost to Darkness... and yet, I have heard that there are many who have escaped its clutches and taken refuge here. Please, I must know if there are any Hylians who have made it to this realm.

...If there is any information at all you can grant me with regarding the Darkness and how I might be able to help, I would be most grateful. I will do whatever I can to aid the worlds that have been lost.

Of course. What have the moogles told you so far?

Only that our homes have been taken by Darkness and that His Majesty King Mickey is searching for a way to bring them back. He seemed busy-- I did not wish to delay him further.

I understand. All of that seems to be correct. However, I don't believe it's the end. We've been brought here to help to revive them and save them. But we have to defeat the source of the darkness first.

I agree. It is only the end if we allow ourselves to believe hope is lost. Does anyone know what or where the source is?

[She shakes her head regretfully.]

Not that I've heard of yet. I've asked, but people don't seem to know much about it beyond fighting the Heartless, and rumors of a weapon that can truly destroy them. No one seems sure what the weapon might be, either.

Your Majesty. [Padmé bows her head to her; she knows how important it can be to afford a queen her formalities even on different worlds.] I'm sorry, I haven't met any Hylians. However, if I can help you find answers, I'd be happy to do so.

Zelda, please. I am not your queen. Anything you could grant me would be appreciated. Do you... perchance know what attacked my home? We were overcome by shadows with yellow eyes.

[Padmé nods to indicate that she accepts the request to call Zelda by her name; while a queen affords respect, she also understands wanting her own identity in such a position.]

They were creatures known as Heartless. The worlds in this galaxy are all plagued by them, so you'll likely encounter more. It's best to be careful, even in Traverse Town.

I am also Hylian, but the differences are small. We are but a different race of humans.

I-I'm sure your highness but I haven't heard of anyplace called Hyrule. Ah! Um but I'm still new here so...there is hope?

[He says this with no demonstrable regret, as something self-evident.]

I am sorry to hear of your loss. The Darkness has taken much, it seems.

[He has to think for a moment; he does not often consider the passing of time now, when he looks so often to the past.]

...for all this talk of saving worlds from the darkness, more and more are lost all the time. Yours is just another casualty.

If this Darkness is powerful enough to swallow worlds whole, I can see how it may be difficult to stop. All the more reason for me to lend what help I can to the cause.

I know not of your kingdom, Your Majesty, or whether any of its people survive. I apologise, but perhaps I can aid you in other ways. [ croak ] Did the moogle fellow explain to you the nature of the Heartless?

Thank you for your help, nevertheless. I have been greeted with such kindness already and I can ask for little more. And please, there is no need to be formal. I am not your queen. Zelda will be fine. He told me very little. Much of his time was spent explaining to me this unusual device's capabilities and about the Darkness that took our homes.
