[After flouncing around in-between the outskirts of reality and fantasy within deep space, a familiar voice booms over the intercom.]

WHAT THE HEC- Eh? Um...?

[Calming down for just a mere second, Kotetsu paused briefly as he noticed his new surroundings.]

I'm free? Free? AHAHA! I got out of there! No more shadows or creepy-crawlies! Finally, I can go home---WWWWWWHAAAAAT!

[He's back to screaming again.]

Oi! How many days passed?! I didn't take that long! It was just a routine mission! Exterminate the stupid ghoulies, nothin' else! It's no way this time is correct!

[The poor idiot let's out a long deep sigh.]

Ugh, this thing is dyin' on me...

[Darn! It seems that Kotetsu isn't a convincing liar after all. Oh, well. At least he gets to see his favorite buddy again.

He missed Ami and her wacky friends.]

[Hear that laugh? He's feeling like a million bucks despite being bloodied and bruised.]

Ah- The hotel in Traverse Town? [She'd better be sure, after all. She herself has moved to Agrabah back then - but it won't take long to catch a gummi ship.]

[There's a lengthy pause followed after Sephiroth's revelation, but eventually he replies.]

...I can't believe I let that much time pass me by. I didn't realize it at all! It was like living in a dream. A nightmare, really.

Yep! Where else?

[He honestly has no idea how much time really passed him by. Being stuck out there in that vortex of a world, did enough to warp his sense of time.]

Ya comin' or not?

I'll be there as soon as I can catch a gummi ship. It shouldn't be long.

[He actually somewhat knows that feeling somewhat, though it mostly happened while out on the field of war for him. Still he relents somewhat.]

Try to keep a better tab on the days then from here on out if possible, alright?

Definitely. I won't make the same mistake twice. It's so easy to get wrapped in things, to just forget about everyone and everything but that's just not like me to do somethin' like that.

I could only imagine what everyone's been sayin' about me. I feel...terrible.

A gummi ship? Oh yeah! You better think "happy thoughts", Ami! Those things go faster when you think happy stuff.

I've been conducting research into that since shortly after I arrived. I'd appreciate your input as well.

[Barnaby has expected Kotetsu to have lengthy missions due to the nature of his work, but he didn't expect it was that long. Com'on, disappearing for over a week right after his birthday!? To Barnaby who has been living with Kotetsu everyday for over a month, it was a bit difficult to adjust to. Life without the old man meddling started to become awkward.]

[Oh by the way, he refused to admit that he felt quite sad not being able to do the princess-carry to welcome his arrival. Not that there won't be chances in the future...]

I didn't know it would take that long.

[Regardless of the minor bitter feelings, he is smiling genuinely. He wants to listen to Kotetsu talking about his adventure that is mixed with countless of sound effects, and he also wants Kotetsu to know how he has been doing.]

Where are you now? I will come over and pick you up.

Yeeeeees? Something wrong?

[At this, he takes it off and casually twirls it on his finger.]

I know how that is. For what it is worth, it's good to see you back in one piece.

[A wave of relief washed over Kotetsu once he heard Barnaby's voice. It surprised Kotetsu greatly not to have Bunny yelling at him for his long disappearance; kind of shocking, really. In any case, he's certainly grateful that Bunny's temper doesn't seem to be flaring...yet.

Maybe this means Kotetsu might survive their fateful reunion unscathed!]

Hey, thanks! Didya miss me?

[He's all chuckles and smiles right now despite not looking his best.]

Eh? I'm okay, really! I'm just lounging around Travese Town, never mind the bruises.

[Well, those kind words certainly cheered him up a bit.]

Ha! You missed me, didn't ya? See, I told ya I would come sooner or later.

Sorry about the lateness, chief. So, what's goin' on lately?

[Here, Kotetsu has Barnaby returning to yelling. Even if Barnaby was, why would he ask such question? How was Barnaby supposed to answer that?]

[But the bruises on Kotetsu were really distracting. He frowns deeply.]

Bruises do matter. Who knows if they will get worsen? Anyways, I am coming and please don't lounge around too much. I will have a hard time looking for you.

[A soft sigh would be Barnaby's only response for now. Kotetsu knew he was going to get yelled at sooner than later, but at least Bunny didn't seem too angry with him. Either way, he's just glad to see the fussy blond well.]

I thought the Darkness had got you or something.

[Oh, yeah! He almost forgot that Ami is just as interested in the gummi ships as he is. Of course, he didn't go as far as Ami went to unravel their secrets but they both share a common interest.]

[Trying to rein in his anger for a moment, Kotetsu grumbles the following.]

[It's that little kid from before. Oz, right? Kotetsu's glad to see he's still around.]

They almost did! I swear, the little buggers are much tougher than they look.

[S-so loud.]

[If you think he's loud now, you've ain't heard nothing yet!]

[Still wondering how he managed to back it back to Traverse Town, Kotetsu fell silent as he eyed the girl with an appraising gaze.]

...Who the heck are you?
