[After flouncing around in-between the outskirts of reality and fantasy within deep space, a familiar voice booms over the intercom.]

WHAT THE HEC- Eh? Um...?

[Calming down for just a mere second, Kotetsu paused briefly as he noticed his new surroundings.]

I'm free? Free? AHAHA! I got out of there! No more shadows or creepy-crawlies! Finally, I can go home---WWWWWWHAAAAAT!

[He's back to screaming again.]

Oi! How many days passed?! I didn't take that long! It was just a routine mission! Exterminate the stupid ghoulies, nothin' else! It's no way this time is correct!

[The poor idiot let's out a long deep sigh.]

Ugh, this thing is dyin' on me...
[identity profile] hisevangeline.livejournal.com
So I just talk into this lil' thing here and you say others will speak to me? You sure this ain't some kind of spell?

Err... no. No spell. It's used for communication like a telephone! There are other refugees all over. They should be able to help you, kupo!

This sure is a funny lookin' telephone.

[ The video is moved and turned and oh god motion sickness for anyone watching. Eventually it stops to show a visual of a Tiana looking into the lens of the camera while making a face. ]

So let's say I believe your story about the darkness and worlds being takin'. Just what am I s'pose to do now? What about my husband? My mother? My business? Do I just sit here and wait?

[ She frowns and looks down, eyes off the camera while gazing at the off-screen moogle. ]

That's about as much as I can help you, unforutnately. I wish you the best of luck!

[ Tiana frowns and watches the moogle depart. She sighs and closes her eyes with a frown while mulling this over sadly in her head for a few minutes. Her eyes part slightly and catches sight of the blinking red light on the device. Unsure of what to do at first, she gave a cautious look around before lifting the camera a little closer to her face. ]

Ya'll can see me out there ... right?

[ She's really skeptical about this box but ... no harm in trying to see if it's true, right? ]

[Wandering on the streets of First District aimlessly, Barnaby kept an eye on his surrounding for any suspicious-looking transportation or stations while trying to retrieve his memory. He already tried using his mobile phone and bracelet while he waited in line to purchase some drinks, but none of them worked. He also checked out the item shop but all they sold were useless stuff like potions and armour in ridiculous high price, which he didn't need any.]

[People here all looked unfriendly and untrustworthy. They all dressed in weird clothing and armour, walking around and behaving awkwardly. Some of them even cast him a discriminative glance, as if treating him as an outcast of the town. Hunger and thirst struck him again as he passed through a shop that sold elastic, plastic-like material, urging him to fulfill the needs as soon as possible.]

...Right, I need more energy to find the way back...
[He mumbled to himself, not noticing a shade of darkness following him as he passed through the gate of Second District.]

[The communicator dropped from his pocket, touching the ground and shattering into pieces.]

[Driven by instinct, he kept walking and walking lifelessly without getting aware of his surroundings. Not realising how much time had passed, he just knew that the sky grew darker as he walked, and there wasn't much time left for him to interrogate Jake Martinez. Not until he reached a cul-de-sac behind the hotel did the blond man retrieved his consciousness and found out he was surrounded by a dozen of black, hideous-looking creatures.]

Wanna become one of us?
[A creepy voice crept into his ears, as if spiders climbing through the canal slowly, nibbling at the small bones.]

Sure you do. You will become powerful enough to go back to your world... And take revenge.
 [The voice snickered.]

[Barnaby blanked out for a second. The invitation was so tempting that he was ready to say yes, but for some reason he couldn't stop his body from trembling in fear.]

Who are you!?
[He cried despairingly.]

I am Darkness. The Darkness in your heart.

[The voice kept climbing and climbing through the nerves until it reached Barnaby’s brain, echoing incessantly.]

Don't you want to kill the murderer? The wicked criminal?

You want to, you want to, you want to…

NO!!!!

[Subconsciously pulling his hair in fear, the blond backed up to the wall, accidentally hitting some plastic electronic thing. It was an unfortunate person’s communicator. Video mode was turned on.]

Zaap.

[A husky male voice suddenly burst out in Barnaby’s mind, urging him to activate his power and kick the Heartlesses away. That voice was gentle and soothing so he obeyed it willingly and activated his power, expelling those creatures with his skilled butterfly kicks. Half of the original gang fled, but another dozen soon replaced the lost army, approaching the desperate blond man again.]

[Too exhausted to continue fighting, he leant against a concrete wall and let the Heartlesses hovering over him. He knew they were dangerous, but there were not enough stamina for him to run away. He knew he could cry out loud for help before passing out, but that wouldn't help. There was no one that he knew here. There was no one that he could trust.]

[Twenty years ago, the child could not save his parents from being engulfed by the Fire. And Twenty years later, the young man could not save himself from being engulfed the Darkness.

[He was all alone again, witnessing something precious to be destroyed.]

...Kotetsu...

[He cried out the last image that popped up in his head before collapsing, seeing nothing but pitch-black darkness.]

[identity profile] tigerhero.livejournal.com
[After fiddling with his communicator for a bit, Kotetsu finally appears on screen and he looks much better since that dreadful night. Dressed in a common blue button down shirt and a pair of khakis, Kotetsu grins happily into the screen.]

Hey, guys! How's everyone? I hope everythin' is okay now! Those stupid ducks really gave us a hard time, huh?

[His grin dims a little.]

Ah, yeah, about that...

[He sheepishly scratches the back of his ear as he talks.]

L-Let's forget that ever happened, okay? Some of the dreams I seen were so personal and some were so...sad. I say that we forget what happened and just try to persevere! We can't allow our fears or our pasts to get the better of us. We still have to find to defeat the Darkness, right?

[His smiles grows again.]

With that said, I would like thank you all for your help. If it wasn't for every last one of us...those nightmares would never end. So, thank you!

[A chuckle rang from him.]

Oh, yeah! I almost forgot somethin', does anyone know anything about fishing? I've been dyin' to go fishing ever since I got here! I used to go fishing all the time with my brother when I was kid.

I used to catch the biggest trout!

[There were several boxes outside the front door as Selphie slung her nunchaku into its holster, intent on exploring the outer wall of Radiant Garden. Instead, she picked up one of the many small boxes and opened it. She sees a rubber duck and pulls it out of the box with the start of a smile before she collapses onto her side. Those from outside the dream, will find her curled up on herself as she begins a dream she wished she'd long since forgotten.

Gunfire rips through the air with an intense crescendo as a little girl is being carried through a thickly forested area near a place called Timber. There's a woman to her left with long brown hair and gentle green eyes that were narrowed in stubborness as she nodded at her daughter whose eyes were wide with fright. What was happening? Everything was going by so far as she cast a wide-eyed look up at the sandy haired man who was carrying her.]

Daddy...?

[Bullets flew inches past the little girl's face as she started to scream. A hand clapped over mouth as she hugged close against the man's chest. Her little arms clung to his neck as the bullets continued soaring through the air. She was terrified beyond belief. They hadn't done anything wrong. Why were those people chasing her? Those people were usually very kind so what had changed today?

A shrill scream filled the air as Selphie's mother fell to the ground. Her blood began pooling around her from the shot had slain the woman the perky brunette would barely remember. They were a family so why did they have to die? The man crushed his little girl tighter to him as he realized that they were surrounded. The Galbadian grunts formed a tight ring around father and daughter as Selphie stared at them all, wide-eyed with something beyond terror. She clawed at her father's shirt as he got down on his knees and whispered comforting words to his little girl.

If anyone in the Tilmitt family deserved to live on, it was their only daughter. Guns cocked in the distance and were pointed at them both. Selphie stared at the guns for a second before she was enveloped in her father's protective coccoon. It was his last gift to his little girl.]

L-live Selphie... GAH!

[Bullets rattled into the man's body as his blood poured onto the little girl who began screaming for them to stop as tears streamed down her face both in the dream and real life. It was too much for her to take again. Magazines were eventually spent as her father collapsed to her left and Selphie, coated in the man's blood sat up and began shaking the man.]

Daddy? Daddy, wake up. I wanna go home. Daddy, wake Mommy up. I want her to tell me another story about the baby train. Daddy...? Why're you bleedin'? Do you need a bandaid?

Look at this child, she's innocent...

Commander, your orders?

Bring the girl with us.

[The soldiers came and collected Selphie. They plucked her off the ground with ease as she began crying for her parents to get up and save her. They let her scream herself to sleep as they strapped her into a seat to bring the little girl back to Timber.

The rebels had been eliminated. The only survivor was an orphaned little girl who was the only witness.]

[The communicator flickers on to reveal a beautiful sunset, over a landscape of sparse trees and grass. In the distance there seems to be some kind of large mountain. And up close...there is a hat on a branch, next to a tea cup. Both are oddly out of place on that branch, but then again, humans throw out the darndest things sometimes, right?

Anyhow, hopping around on that branch is a small bird, using its beak to decorate the edge of the hat with a...necklace?...before plopping down in it, its little bitty blue headband covering its eyes from the impact. Of course doing this causes the communicator to fall out of the tree and hit the ground, which turns it off, but, still. The nest-making of a bird, even when the piece are made of human junk, is a part of nature, and it is beautiful in its glor--

[When the feed clicks on, Alucard is crouched on the ground with a rather bright backdrop of Disney Town behind him.]

I found something. She seems to have been separated from her pack... [He turns the feed around to show the viewers a wolf-like creature; one who seems very fond of Alucard, no less. She keeps trying to nudge past the communicator, but he seems less than enthused about the thing trying to crawl up on him and lick his face, so he keeps her away a little. Albeit, he does reach out and scratch her behind the ears with a gloved hand.

He suspects he knows exactly why she's attached to him, but it's not something he'll advertise over the network.]

...Seems there is very little I can do. She has been following me for three days now; I have looked for her kind and found nothing. I have even attempted to set her free in the wilderness and she persists. If she insists on being my companion, I would like to know if anyone out there recognizes her species so that she might be... well-cared for.

Is he awake yet, kupo?

Not yet, he's out like a light!

[A PCD is turned on, revealing a unconscious young boy with black spiky hair, propped up against some crates in the First District of Traverse Town. One of the moogles was poking the boy's cheek, his thick bangs partially obscuring his face. After a couple more pokes, we finally hear a groan.]

Hey, kupo! I think he's waking up! Kupo!

Wake up, kupo! Wake up!

Nnnngh... 'm awake, 'm awake, stop pokin' me...

[The boy swats at the moogle and lifts his head, a hand coming up to rub his forehead. It's clear the kid's got a bit of a headache. He blinks rather bright blue eyes at the creatures and jumps a bit.]

Whoa! What're you?!

We're moogles, kupo! Here's your phone, we gotta help some other people. Don't worry, everything will be explained, kupo!

H-Hey, wait a minute! I need to know- [Aaaaaand they're gone.] why 'm not at the Coliseum...

[Welp. He stares at the PCD, totally confused as to what a phone is, let alone that it was even recording him.]

Who'm I suppose to ask?

[Minako's looking a bit sheepish. She's nearly thrown the moogles for a loop, considering she's nearly kicked one in her limited time here in Traverse Town.]

Hey, I'm sorry! I really didn't mean to do that. I got caught off guard!

[A few muttering Kupos in reply. They're not too happy.]

So... this thing can help me find my friends if they're here, right?

That's right, kupo! It should be recording right now.

Really? [Minako takes a deep breath.]

Ok, girls! Sound off if you're here!

[ The feed clicks on to show a beautiful dark haired girl. Her violet eyes look troubled, but stern, and she reaches up to brush her bangs out of her face before speaking. ] My name is Rei. I've been told that by talking to you, I'll get an explanation as to what's going on.

[Several days after his previous feed, Kotetsu appears again but this time with a smile on his face and the historical scenery of Port Royal as his backdrop. Somewhere between then and now, Kotetsu set voyage to Port Royal and let's just say that was a rather interesting ride.]

Those Gummi Ships are somethin' else, aren't they? [He chuckled lightly.] Happy thoughts? Really? If they really run on 'happy thoughts', then I'm goin' to go sailin' around the galaxy in no time!

[His laughter dies down a bit, but he's still all smiles.]

So, I got a question for some of you new folks. I know I'm not the only one here wanderin' all over the place, so I was wonderin' if anyone would want to come here to Port Royal and do some exploring.

[Kotetsu's grin widens.]

Any takers? C'mon, guys! Don't leave me hangin'. I'm sure one of you guys feel up for the adventure.

[Video or Action for Olympus Coliseum]

Just a reminder folks. So many of you are confused new arrivals to this place, but let me assure you that if you need help with anything, Hades is here. Sure there is a small, insignificant, little price to be paid for my help but, its nothing you will miss!
If you are up for a deal, have a burning question you need the answer to, a small dispute you need to find a solution to, look me up. I am always willing to help.

[The scenery has changed for the Unicorn. She seems much more at ease, though there is always a wary caution about her.]

Riding on these...Gummi Ships...does not sit well with me. I would have preferred carrying myself to this garden. But that was not a choice that was given to me.

[Nudging the communicator with her velvety muzzle, she allows her viewers to see Disney Castle.]

I am not fond of Man's creations, but this is impressive. All the same, I miss the forest. I wonder if I will ever see it again?

[She gazes off into the distance. After a moment, she shakes her head and turns. With a swish of her tail, she nips a leaf off of a nearby bush and focuses on chewing it. Only after she swallows does she refocus on her communicator.]

Sometimes I see shadows; they're like the darkness I saw when I arrived. What are they?
[identity profile] hydro-storm.livejournal.com
[After all the age craziness, here's Richter again, still wandering in the middle of Traverse Town, like the derp he is. Except this time he's older, and has better listening skills! Though that doesn't really help if he was already greeted as a newcomer and been given his rundown of what's going on when he was 'younger'.

But Richter is resourceful! And though he once again doesn't understand how to use the communicator, he's gonna press a few buttons on it and see if he can't call out to other people like the others he's seen on his screen.]

Can anyone hear me? Or SEE me? [he tests, looking at the screen.] I think I'm a little lost, heh.
[identity profile] tigerhero.livejournal.com
[After pretty much roaming around the town for several minutes, a clumsily looking man wearing a white and black hat on his head peers into the screen of his communicator. For a moment or two, he just stands there looking utterly shocked/awed/petrified/confused/derpy.]

Um...? Eh? Is this thing on?

[He leans in closer to the screen, to the point you can almost count how many teeth he has.]

I guess it is. Hm. This is a weird lookin' thing! Kinda reminds me of Bunny's phone.

[Backing away from the screen, the silly man flips the communicator upside down.]

I don't get this! Is it "Halloween" or something? No, no! Maybe it's April's Fool day. The folks of Sternbild really like holidays, but I don't remember them puttin' up any decorations during a terrorist attack.

This just...weird.

[He turns the communicator ninety degrees towards the right, making the angle of his picture seem lopsided.]

Can anyone hear me? Bunnnnnny! Blue Rose, Rock Bison....anyone?
[identity profile] slippedamickey.livejournal.com
--Hey! Hey! Is this darn thing on!?

[Look, it's Mickey!...with long rabbit ears? Wait a minute. It...looks a bit like Mickey, albeit Mickey in the Timeless River, but...those ears. It can't be the King. But whoever it is, they do not look happy.]

Right. Listen up! I'm lookin' for a mouse. My height, stumpy years, beady eyes, wears red shorts and white gloves. Goes by the name of M-I-C-K-E-Y.

[Anything not to say his name again. That slimeball touched her locket. The very thought causes him to grind his teeth. Finally he growls and points his finger at the screen. The more he speaks, the more visibly agitated he gets, the louder his voice gets.]

...Hnn! I bet he's watching this right now! Ruining my home wasn't enough for ya, huh? Didn't get your jollies makin' the Shadow Blot, did you? Now this!? You do this!?

[And finally, he explodes in anger, outright screaming at the communicator. And his anger is enough that his ears literally pop out of his head, shaking with rage.]

AND DON'T YOU BE ALL 'AWWW I'M SORRY' 'BOUT IT EITHER! I KNOW YOU DID IT, MOUSE! I KNOW HOW YOU ARE NOW! AND I AIN'T TAKIN' IT NO MORE!! I'LL--

[The communicator suddenly cuts. For a good three minutes. When it switches back on, only the Traverse Town fountain can be seen. Pretty isn't it.

Then the rabbit's voice comes back on. And by the tone of his voice he is still hopping mad *rimshot*.]

See this? You and me, mouse, we're gonna settle this. Once and for all! Rabbit to mouse! Right here! Fisticuffs only! I wanna see how much of a big star you are without using that paintbrush or whatever it is you're using in this place to cheat! You hear me!? One hour! You have one hour!!

[And suddenly, the rabbit...thing's pissed off eyes fill the screen.]
