This is so cool! Check this out! It looks like the Land of Dragon natives are celebrating the New Year. I think it's the Year of the Dragon, or something like that.

I wonder if anyone will celebrate Nowruz on any of the other worlds.

[ The fireworks continue to dazzle.]

A bit of both. I wanted to see what they did, and I already spend most of my time on this world.

Yeah, that's why I wanted to show it off. I only knew because I work on this world.

The Land of Dragons. It's a lot like China...and Mongolia, though I haven't been to the Mongol part.

The Year of the Dragon, huh? That means good fortune. Back home it was the Year of the Monkey.

[Zuko is silently impressed; it's nice to see a familiar dating system, timeline differences aside. And the fireworks definitely remind him of home.]

What's Nowruz?

Oh really? I guess that would make sense, with the matching of the world's name.

Nowruz is the New Year in my homeland. It's at the start of spring.

I don't know about The Land of Dragons, but in the Fire Nation, the dragon is a symbol of strength. Firebenders born in the Year of the Dragon are said to be destined for greatness.

Are the celebrations in your homeland any different from the celebrations here?

Well, there's no fireworks and the food is different. The sense of wanting to share it with your loved ones is the same.

Mostly you visit as many friends and relatives as possible to celebrate the New Year. You also decorate your home for those who visit you.

Well right now the Chinese New Year is being celebrated.

Nowruz is the New Year where I come from. That's in the beginning of spring.

Well, it mostly involves visiting as many friends and relatives as possible, and decorating your home for those who visit you.

In Bengal, yes. Other regions have other variations for New Years.
