[The video pops on, and suddenly a wild Aerith appears!

She's yet to find any of her friends here, and has kept to herself. Mostly to adjust, and to get over her initial confusion about this place.

Now, though, she's ready and raring to go. To do something. What, exactly, she's not sure.]

I've been thinking about what I should do while I'm here. Any suggestions? I know there are plenty of committees and jobs people are a part of, but I really just can't figure out where I'd be the most useful.

[The smile she gives the video is a little sheepish. She could probably figure this out on her own, but there is something to be said about asking for opinions.]

I am not entirely familiar with all of the committees myself, but I think the general rule is, find something you enjoy doing and see if that fits into any of those organizations.
It might also be a good idea to look into them more to see if their ideas match up with your own.

Still, hearing what others have to say can tell me a lot! I take it you're not involved in any right now?

Not yet. It has been suggested that I might join one of these groups, but I suppose I am in the same situation as you, I am not sure if any of these groups would be right for me.
I am still investigating things.

A part of me just wants to jump in and help where ever I can! I think I'm getting a little antsy.

But you're right, finding a good fit is a better idea. I should be patient.

Maybe a better question is, what do you want to do? There's no use trying to make yourself do something you don't like, because most people will just give up on it quick.

[Helping people back home was something she'd grown used to. Funny how that worked, since before she just stuck to her own corner of the world.]

I'm on Leon's Restoration Committee, but I'm staying on Traverse. He says people need to try and restore things on all the world, but the Committee began on his home of Radiant Garden. I'm staying here because most of the new people come here and they need some help or someone to talk to when they show up.

Aerith...? You're back. [He looks happy to see her.] The Restoration Committee could always use your help back home.

[Confusion abound! Aerith is squinting at the video, turning it sideways a bit to see if that would help her recognize him. It doesn't help her at all.]

Back...so I've been here before?

[She's looking a little thoughtful, then gives him an apologetic smile.]

I don't remember, I'm sorry. And what does the Restoration Committee do?

[Crap. It doesn't take long for him to realize the error of his ways. She looks and sounds exactly like the Aerith he knows... same name. But then, it's hard to forget that there's another him running around here somewhere. Younger... but definitely him. Wouldn't be the first time. He doesn't want to admit he misses her, but the disappointment shows a bit.]

No, sorry. There's a friend of mine. She looks... exactly like you. Same name, too. Apparently that kind of thing happens often around here.

Mainly, we try to put things back the way they were. The Darkness hasn't really been kind to other worlds and the homes in them. Some of us also do patrols to protect people from the Heartless.

Those "committees" are nothing more than a way for people to feel like they're doing something when they have no control over what happens. They're fake, and a waste of time.

Even if we might not have total control over what happens, we can still help. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there we can assist! It's better than doing nothing.

Most of my magic is defensive, though. I would need materia to cast anything else.

Well I know on my own I can't, but everyone coming together means we might have a chance. That's worth something!

What a loaf of rubbish.

Darkness lurks in everyone's hearts. The longer you try, the more times you fail, that darkness will morph and grow. Before you know it it will have consumed you and the others. Look what it's accomplished already.. Out of all the worlds we represent, only a scant few remain.

It's entirely hopeless.
