[Accidental Video - White Rose Flower Shop - Disney Castle]

[Chloe bumped the table as he slammed the communicator down long enough to snatch at his dark cloak hanging on a nearby hook. This urgency unfortunately did not give him a chance to make certain the device had been appropriately switched off. Lizzie’s post had sounded so desperate he had to get to her, now.
Without even picking the device back up he rushed to the door only to be forced to fall back as it flew open on its own allowing a small horde of heartless to pile into the room. ]

Dam--!!

[The lead heartless crouched and leapt at Chloe before he could even finish the short curse. Only stumbling unevenly backward saved Chloe from being raked across the chest by the lead heartless’s sharp talons.
While the man had always portrayed himself as being a simple florist now the camera was privy to the truth. The heartless wasn’t given a second chance to strike. The metal stiletto that was effortlessly jabbed into its throat effectively ended any opportunity it might have had.
Though one of the intruders dissolved into nothing the others were still there, leaping after their prey. Chloe turned to run, expertly throwing three Bite Roses in the direction of the approaching horde as he made his escape behind the White Rose‘s counter. These weapons flew through the air and caught the faster heartless before they could catch up. They too disappeared but for every heartless taken down another two appeared to take their place.
It was a small army now that grew in strength every moment, with even more of the creatures trying to push their way in through the open doorway. That means of escape was entirely cut off… the only other path was…
En mass the heartless surged forward, pressing their advantage and nearly overwhelming Chloe’s defenses. There was only one way out…
Chloe threw himself away from the legion of heartless and back into the plate glass window. He could feel the glass shatter under his weight, some of the shards ripping into his skin, and then the weightless feeling of falling. Instinctively he prepared for the impact and rolled with it as soon as he hit the ground. The pain of this undignified escape would come later, but at least for now he had managed to escape the heartless. ]

[He's worried about Elizabeth, frustrated, AND he's going to take that out on you]

Tch- Way to conceal your abilities..

[What use to me are you, if you're injured?]

[The communicator that had been left on the table in the florist shoppe was spirited away in a flurry of owl feathers and Trabant diligently brought the device back to his master just in time for Chloe to receive Ciel's message. ]

How much of that did it catch?

[ For the moment your snark will be ignored for the horror that is his carelessness. At least here he didn't have a team that would be placed in danger if this information came out. ]

All of it.

[He's so not here to sugarcoat anything]

[Maybe everyone would be too busy to notice? Anyway, there would be time to worry about this later. Right now there were more important things going on.]

Lizzie. Are you anywhere near her?

[Then it's Ciel's turn to feel ill at ease and fall silent. From the video, it had been difficult to discern precisely where she was.. on top of that.. the feed had cut off. He thought he was headed the right way but he could have actually been headed in the wrong direction just as easily]

I'm....... [With some reluctance] .. not sure.

I thought maybe at her business, but if you are checking there I can look for her at the castle.

[It goes without saying 'watch out for the heartless' but... ]

Do you have your weapon with you?

That's where I'm headed.. [Then he thought to specify] her business.

[I'm sorry Chloe but you're short business partner is in a bit of a snit right now...]

Tch- I'm not an idiot. [Sucks in a breath] I have it.

[Now it's Chloe's turn to make a dismissive 'tch' noise as he changes direction to head for the castle instead. Unless Trabant gives him an indication otherwise that will be where he starts looking.]

As long as you know how to fire it.

[He knows you know this Ciel. ]

Remember to aim.

[Wut. Grits his teeth.]

This isn't the first time I've used a gun!

[AND YOU KNOW IT!]

Just focus on what you're doing! I'm not sure how many more plate glass windows the city can afford..

[Why you little brat. If he wasn't so worried about Lizzie right now you would be getting what was coming to you. ]

There are more important things to worry about than windows.

[But now that you mention it Chloe has noticed a certain pang of discomfort whenever he moved his arm in a certain direction. An unfortunate cut from one of the pieces of glass, no doubt. ]

That Glock has more power than your antique weapon, be careful with it, and don't forget to change the clip if you run out of ammunition.

[Good. You are focused on what you should be.]

I know.

[Ciel hadn't spared a glance at the communicator since he'd caught Chloe outing himself so he wasn't really sure the extent of his injuries. He sort of seemed annoyed with Chloe for even obtaining injuries of his own]

[He nodded a response.] I won't forget...

[What was going to be a surprise... was his new found power..if he ever realized he had it]

[That power was something Chloe hadn't discovered either. Though if he had it might have saved him a few injuries on the way out of that unfortunate window... ]

We should regroup at the castle...

['Whether we can find Lizzie or not'.
He didn't say that but if they couldn't find her it seemed unlikely that she would have been able to survive. They would have to worry about themselves no matter how much her loss hurt. ]

Agreed..

[If Lizzie wasn't at her business, the castle was also the next best bet... He didn't wish to think of losing her. One of the final, remaining.. and currently .. seemingly fragile links to his once pleasant past. ]

[The video is tumbled a bit as Chloe has to leap into the air to counter an attack by a small group of heartless blocking his way to the castle. ]

Why are there so many! Disney Castle used to be free of pests like these!

[That's not at all encouraging.]

The better question- being- Why was there no forewarning! [Each slight pause came at a point where the young Earl had to deal with something off screen himself.]

I find it hard to believe that with individuals stationed on each world no one noticed a change in the heartless populations.

[Someone was slacking on the job..]

An attack like this... there must have been a build up some where.

[It was very hard to believe that no one had noticed anything going on. Everything had appeared so normal up until the posting from the moogle. ]

So much for the notion of protecting the worlds or...

[With one more leap Chloe made his way onto the castle grounds. The courtyard was swarming with them... ]

Tch. [He has been around you for too long Ciel. ]

I will make a path so you and Lizzie can get inside when you arrive.

[It seemed like the two of them were on the same page.]

The security here makes Scotland Yard look superb.. [He muttered sarcastically, holding no great love for that institution]

Right..

[If he found her..]

[The alternative was not going to be mentioned until it was certain. Chloe did not want to think about that. ]

Their police force does seem the same caliber...

[Except maybe for Bunny... who he hadn't seen in quite a while. Had the heartless gotten him too? ]

[Okay.. he smirked a little at that one. Someone who shared the same opinion of Scotland yard.. or at least didn't argue with him when he said that]

[Bunny.. had been gone a long time .. ]

Ugh- there's no end to these things!

[Even in his time Scotland Yard was a joke, often corrupted for the evil plans of others.

One moment Ciel, these heartless are a bit feisty.

I don't know how we are supposed to defeat these if they just keep coming...

[He's got problems of his own to attend to... so it's actually well timed]

That is the point.. we're not supposed to defeat them.

Least not if the force behind this has any say in it...

How uplifting.

[Chloe laughed a little ruefully as he dispatched another heartless. ]

I know that is what the heartless plan for us but I would much rather continue living.

[I'm not here to be Mary Poppins 8/. You get no spoonful of sugar]

Tch- of course. I don't plan on complying either.

[But you arrived via flying umbrella... give me my spoonful of sugar!!! ]

[He would miss you, Ciel. ]

I wouldn't want to have to attend your funeral.
