[Musa appears on the feed. hand up against her head and her face far from amused.]

Did ya know that some heartless have thoughts?

[Musa rubbed her temples, mind reading had it downside, getting a headache because you can't control it was one of them.]

It's rather weird to hear there thoughts, but it's great to know what they are thinking and where they will strike, so if you need help, let me know.

Though I will apologise if I can hear your own thoughts, I lack control in stopping these new powers, so if ya have anything ya don't want out there, don't think about it.

[Of all things, that's not one he expected to hear.]

They have thoughts? Heartless aren't supposed to have minds!

[And it was something Musa never thought was possible.]

Well the small shadow type guys, they don't, but the more matured bigger ones do. It seems they plan there attacks, instead of being random.

[If she can hear his, even over a communicator, all he can think of right now is why is this happening and sorting through various battle strategies.]

They plan them? What? How?

[She can hear loud and clear even over this device, though as she how she doesn't understand, she just knows it gives her a headache.]

Well, when they attack they think of what attack they'll use first and then what to use afterwards.

[He doesn't mean to, at least? He doesn't like hurting anyone. Except monsters.]

So it's not so much thoughts as just... planning.

[Okay, that's not so bad... Not good, but not as bad as he was thinking.]

This does show though that they have some sort of intelligence.

Not enough to talk to or reason with. Darkness... Pure Darkness like that only wants to consume.

[This time, his thoughts are more interesting, or troublesome. Rushing Darkness, losing control of himself, fighting to destroy something - sounds like he has personal experience with that.]

Ya seem to know a lot about darkness, or it sounds like it anyway.

More than I want to.

[And this time the pictures are very fast, less than half a second each, but quite sharp - a boy with gold eyes and black hair grinning psychotically, being physically restrained by a pack of blue monsters, the sky opening above to almost angelic light, multiple shots of a battle in a strange landscape.]

[For the moment she chooses not to talk much more about it.]

So, what shall we do with this?

[Mental shift. Now Ven's running through all the opponents he's ever faced - and there's a lot of them - trying to figure out something that'll help. After a few seconds, he thinks he has an idea.]

Can you see what kind of things they're planning, and not just that they're planning something?

If ya mean like strategy wise, than ya I can, if they are thinking about it at the time.

Okay. [And a mild groan; this has taken far too long for his wants.] If you can get in close without getting hurt, can you see what their normal thought patterns are and make some kind of list? If we know what the different kinds are likely to try next, we can tell everyone so they don't have to learn through hard experience.

[She nods slightly.]

I will try, okay.

If you can, it'll even help after all this is over. Anything that'll help us fight them better - that's what we need right now.

[Because they will finish this. He's not sure how, but they will.]

Do they really?! [Then maybe Aang's theory of trying to make contact with them could have been successful]

What sort of things do they think about? [I'm sorry Musa, I hope you wanted to learn how to make chicken curry.. because strangely that's what Agni is thinking about]

[Well...at least that thought was not a secret one.]

They plan what attacks they'll use next, that sort of thing.

[It is quite an involved one though with all the various steps and instructions]

Then this newfound power of yours could be quite useful!

Depends on the type of heartless.
