[There was a familiar face on the screen as a moogle floated not far from a head of brown and gray while the feed was adjusted. There was a very serious look about him. Maybe a little too calm for someone who just heard the ill news. The moogle was leading him somewhere. The inn, probably.]

Will you be okay, kupo! [The Jedi Knight paused in his walk and turned to the creature giving it a thoughtful look and responding after a short insignificant silence.]

Darkness has engulfed my world and many others, that's something I had never heard mentioned before. Even then, there is no need for haste: answers come at their own time. These mysteries will unravel themselves with time and patience. Thank you for your assistance, I leave you in peace.

[Before he could bow in respect to the strange creature, their attention was turned to the scurrying sounds of a strange furry creature making it's way up the street towards them. The moogle seemed unmoved and Jinn, sensing no threat, remained put. The creature, a furret that had escaped from a certain albino idiot, climbed up his leg and coat to nuzzle the old man's cheek without hesitation. Qui-Gon rose a brow.]

[Qui-Gon knew his apprentice well and, just as he could not ingore his heart, Obi-Wan suffered the same problem. He felt and he worried. It was human. It was normal. He moved a little closer, his voice low.]

Although it is our duty to protect the innocent from the unjust, we can not save everyone. Do not take the burdens of the world on your shoulders alone, padawan. Regrets darken the heart and cloud our judgment.

[Even knowing Qui-Gon meant those words for the problem he had told him, Obi-Wan took them towards his visions and the future as well. Perhaps he could still seek counsel without telling too much. In spite of himself, that thought made him start towards Qui-Gon, a deep-rooted fear in his eyes.]

But what if you're the only one who could do something? And if you don't and you knew it would mean... very terrible things... what then?

You must always be mindful of the living force, it is forever in motion. What its will is and what fate it brings upon us all we cannot change. We must respect it and allow it to flow freely.

Now, if a matter presents itself where the force offers you enlightenment and a chance, then there is no reason why you cannot prevent something. But what are these terrible things?

[An answer Obi-Wan had expected in part, perhaps, but hearing it from Qui-Gon himself reinforces his determination. He believes those visions were given to him to help him bring change. Every padawan has received lectures on simply making things worse by trying to force issues seen through visions, but he's never been adept when it came to prophetic dreams. Why see them now if not to make a difference?

He doesn't relax entirely, but he's less on edge when he nods in understanding and turns back towards direction of the gummi ship docks.]

It was a hypothetical question, Master. Something that I've been mulling over for a while, that's all.

[But he is going to keep a close watch on you, Obi-Wan.]

[Careful not to show his relief, Obi-Wan starts walking again and leading Qui-Gon out towards the docks. He gestures to his ship with his free hand, a little proud in spite of the small marks and dings he hasn't gotten around to fixing yet.]

Here it is. [His pride and joy!] It's not all that different from a real ship aside from what they're made of. A little less complicated than ours, but the same concept. [He steps inside, setting the package in a secure spot. He can work on the ship later when he has time.] I can show you all that once you're settled, if you like.

[He settles to the pilot seat.] Any questions before we blast off? [In spite of himself, there's a little grin on his face when he looks over at Qui-Gon. He might be enjoying getting to teach for once a little much.]

Rest assured, I will be expecting it. [And he's... going to get on the ship.]

[Obi-Wan puts on a potentially goofy smile to answer his question and points at it; he's finding it significantly easier to smile and joke this time around. Then without wasting another minute, he turns back 'round and starts up the ship. After a thankfully uneventful trip, they're soon at Twilight Town. He knows he can't deter Qui-Gon from wanting to explore the place and the other worlds for long, but for now, he just wants him back home where he knows it's safe.]

Let's go to the house.

[Giving him a choice? Nope. He lugs the package under one arm and already heads that way once they've disembarked.]
