[The note and object inside had taken Anaking by surprise. It didn't look like something Padmé would ever do. No, he was sure it wasn't from Padmé, which left him with three ideas:

1. It was some sort of prank.
2. It was a trap, and an actual threat.
Or, 3. Someone really did admire him.

While he wasn't any stranger to his physical appeal, the former two seemed far more likely. So, of course, he leaves for the Corkboard without a word, aware he's probably walking straight into the trap.
