Heee…EEEEEEEEEEE!!
It’s morning?! We stayed out all night!!

[Makoto quickly rose from the arms of the man she had been cuddling with, accidentally dropping her communicator and recording the entire scene as she went. An evening watching the stars from the roofline of one of the Traverse Town buildings had resulted in the awkward early morning wake up call when the light from the new day’s sunrise had roused Makoto from her slumber.
Chloe was far more relaxed about the entire affair, being more experienced in these matters to begin with, he really didn’t see any reason to yell or flail around as his companion did. At least not until she walked too close to the edge and her heel slipped… ]

Be careful!

[She might have fallen from the tower to her death if Chloe hadn’t caught her hand and pulled her safely back to him. Makoto looked startled. How pretty she was when she blushed… Her momentary weakness was an opportunity to lean down and take advantage of her surprise, to kiss her.]

No. She shouldn't jump to conclusions. After all... She blushes to remember Kanda in her room the other night, and nothing improper had happened! Makoto was entirely allowed to kiss someone if she liked him. Still... Makoto had seemed shocked, too.]

[This?! This wasn't the reason at all! She would have been doubly embarrassed if she could read her friends thoughts. As it was she was still dazed, flustered, and embarrassed when she found out the communicator betrayed her again.

Oh my gosh, what did this thing pick up!? Makoto tried to keep the flailing to a minimum this time to keep from almost falling off the roof again, but her blush deepened and she looked swiftly between Chloe, and the communicator a few times]

I- well.. Ami- [She sputtered, not able to form a complete sentence. Yes, the two had spent the night together... but they hadn't spent the night together. Ohhh what must this have looked like!?]

Uh- yeah.. I.. I'm fine. [She bowed her head and averted her gaze. She never expected him to kiss her.. or for the community to be a witness to it]

[To see a lady in such distress, even if he had been the cause of it... who had known that communicator had been on the entire time... well, he would try to fix it. ]

Nothing untoward happened at all. We simply spent too much time watching the stars together last night.

[One might argue kissing a girl you had only just met was a bit forward, but Chloe really didn't see it that way. At least not in his arrow touched state. ]

[Alright, now her cheeks are absolute crimson.]

I will see that she makes it safely back to the hotel, if that is where she wishes to go.

[And thus the two issues become one yet again. Ami manages a smile anyway.]

[She... isn't sure how to answer that, after last time Makoto was here and the bumpy start to this time.]

She's a friend from back home. We did a lot of things together.

[Or shocked, it had looked like a good deal of both really. ]

[Yes, Chloe, it is shocking when a friend is suddenly kissing a guy she barely knows, for unknown reasons, while staying away from you and the group, very soon after arriving here, after you've had to cope with her loss when she disappeared before.

Ami tries to keep it in perspective.]

She always looked out for us. It's the least we can do for her, too.

[Makoto has obviously been placed under the control of some dark and sinister force... or has been totally swept off her feet.]

[None of the people Chloe considered friends had ever managed to find their way out of the darkness. He would consider Ami lucky to have found so many, even if their stay had been brief.
Then again... he would likely catch hell for this. The entire Makoto situation had been anything but subtle. It is kind of bad form for an assassin to draw attention to themselves like this.]

[Ami's not thinking anything that sinister, but. Well. It is odd.]

I'm lucky they seem to be returning. [She doesn't quite sound like the happy person being reunited with her friends logic would dictate she should sound like right now, but that's the fault of having lost them before. It'll just take a little while.]

[Totally cupid's fault. Chloe doesn't usually become serious about the ladies he flirts with, but that arrow has made him fall very hard. And poor Makoto was entirely unprepared for this level of attention anyway. She was an easy target really.]

Now if only your world would as well?

[The tone was strange but he decided better of asking about it. ]

[If he hurts that 'easy target' he'll have Hell and worse to pay. But while it all seems strange, Ami's been bitten by the love bug, too. And Makoto seems happy. And she trusts Chloe not to treat Makoto badly.

So it's alright, isn't it?]

And the rest of my friends and family. I miss them, and worry about them. But I know, so does everyone else here.

[Oh dear. I wonder how it will turn out. ^^]

Yes, everyone must have some one that they are longing to see again.

[At least their enemies from their home worlds don't appear to have made their way here! There are good things about this place.]

[There's an uneasy truce here for her and hers. Zoisite isn't precisely attacking them, but he's not precisely working with them either. Chloe is fortunate.]

Do you believe that if they're not here, they're really lost?

[Were they really lost? ]

It isn't something I have really considered, but I suppose we will see them again some day.

[Maybe in hell. That was where all murders went, wasn't it? ]

But how can we be sure? [She knows they can't. She knows, of course, that some people are saved. She even knows disappearing isn't the end - Rei and Makoto are back once more, after all.

But she worries. She fears all of them truly being wiped away, herself, too.]

[Chloe has a very easy answer for that. ]

Faith.

[But what if your faith leaves, too?]

You're right. I need to have faith.

[Faith is the lifeline Chloe clings to in order to keep him grounded. That's why, even as an assassin, he hasn't totally fallen into the darkness. ]

If you have doubts... [As tone suggests she might.] ...speaking to God about it can never fail. It might give you a direction in which to continue.

God? [Ami looks, not troubled precisely, but introspective.]

I've never been very religious, or observant.

For matters like faith, religion is the best place to find it. If you are feeling lost.

[Not that he is much into trying to convert people. In fact, he actually finds it a little odd to be speaking on the subject to Ami. ]

I don't know if that's the same for everyone. I've always found mine in my friends.

Then talk to them about it? If they have been your source of faith before maybe they can be again.

[Makoto finding a boyfriend is still a thousand times better than everything Ami's fears told her were the real problem. (Her. Isn't that what it comes down to?)]

I.. I'm sorry .. I really need to get used to these communicators. [She felt bad, since the last two times she'd made Ami feel uncomfortable] It's my fault entirely.

Oh yeah, you were going to teach me how to use that filter-thingy. Uh.. perhaps we better start with how-not-to turn the thing on.

[She laughed nervously. Omg.. her first kiss in a foreign land would forever be captured on film! She tried very hard not to start blushing again]

You could keep it in some type of case, maybe. That should prevent the buttons from accidentally being pushed. [Hmmm, that's not a bad idea... She should possibly try it herself.]

Yeah, something like that should do the trick. [Makoto nodded.]

Wonder if they carry something like that, at the item shop.

They should. If not there, the moogles might know where.

[This was awkward. She didn't want to snub her bff, but she should.. um.. pay some attention to her... to.. her.. to Chloe. Cough. She was glad that Ami seemed more at ease though]

I wonder if you could make one.... Ah, but a fabric one might not keep the buttons from being pressed as easily.

I probably could.. I bet you could compensate for that by sewing something hard between two pieces of fabric. It would make it harder to hit the buttons anyway.

[Ami smiles. This is a lot more comfortable.] Mako-chan can do it if anyone can. Your sewing skills are amazing.
