≋ He's Never Had Pets [Video/Action for the Coliseum]

[The communicator turns on to show Ven in the courtyard outside the building he and his friends are living in - flat on his butt on the ground and a hand to his head, shaking it like he just banged it on something. There's a concerned-sounding whistle from off to the side, and Ven's eyes widen at something off the screen, holding up both hands to try and stop something.]

No, Daisy, come on, that was enou-

[Apparently not, because a bundle of yellow feathers and orange legs shoots into the frame at a dead run, knocking Ven over completely again as she tries to peck at his hair and make sure he's okay. And despite the fact that Ven's gained about an inch and a half and some more body mass in the past year, he can't stand up to a full blown chocobo rush, especially when he isn't standing in the first place.]

Owww... Daisy, cut it out! [He manages to push the two-foot tall chocobo off him and sit up again despite some more whistles, looking at the communicator with just a bit of a frazzled expression.] Can anyone tell me more about chocobos? Lili's been gone for awhile, and it looks like Terra - the girl Terra - she's gone, too, and I'd never heard of them before. Is this kind of thing normal?

[Is he ever going to get the chocobo to stop climbing on him now that he can't carry it on his shoulder?]

[After he gets to his feet and gets all the molting fuzz off him, Ven sets up a private line to his pseudo-mom.] Pluto? Since Aqua's back, do you think we could try to get her armor back again?

[He can't do anything but gape for a minute, but eventually Ven does get his voice back.]

Wha- Yes! Definitely! Or maybe we should come there, you can't touch the Keyblade-

[ just at this moment, Terra's coming outside. he blinks, seeing Ventus and comes over ] Wow Ven, she's getting pretty big.

[Daisy runs over and warks at Terra, jumping around him and fluttering her wings. She loves attention and still has a crush on him. Ven takes the opportunity to get back on his feet and dust off his pants.]

They're supposed to get really big - big enough for us to ride on. But I don't know how long that's gonna take.

[ action ]

[ Terra laughs lightly at Daisy and nods ]

I remember, but I didn't think that she would grow up this quickly.

[ action ]

Animals grow faster than people, right? That's probably why - I'm kind of worried that she's not growing fast enough, I've had her for six months.

[And she was older than that, though only by a month or two. Daisy grabs part of Terra's shirt in her beak and tugs, demanding pettings.]

I'm not sure. Maybe if they're untrained, since they can be unpredictable then.

[He struggles not to laugh at Ven's expense, but he eventually gives up.]

You're just lucky she's so small.

[And when Daisy comes near him again, Ven uses it to his advantage to pull himself to his feet. Really, she's still shorter than his waist, but that's a lot bigger than she was. He takes the laughter in stride, at least - this probably would be funny if it was happening to someone else.]

Yeah, but how do you train them? We weren't allowed to have pets at home.

She's nice, she's just... really enthusiastic. [Oh Daisy. Whatever is Ven going to do with you.] And supposedly she's still pretty short - apparently they can get six or seven feet tall. At least, that's what Lili said.

That's pretty tall for a bird, though I know nothing about them to really say.

Yeah, I'd never heard of them before someone was talking about adopting a couple of the chicks on the communicators. And she's really nice, she's just kind of... really hyper, too.

[As if to prove that thought, Daisy kwehs and grabs part of Ven's jacket with her beak, tugging on it until he starts scratching the top of her head.]

[And here's Aqua, trying to not laugh too much at Ven's plight.]

I think she likes you.

[Ven spits out a feather and points at Aqua.]

Go on Daisy, get Aqua! She wants to get knocked over!

[Daisy totally doesn't pay attention, whistling again as she starts to preen Ven's hair.]

Yeah, I'm fi- Daisyyyy. [She's come over and started trying to preen his hair again. It's one of her favorite things to do, and now he's short enough that she can reach! He gets the bit of hair out of her beak and pushes himself to his feet, dusting off his pants.] I'm fine, she's just pretty hyper right now. She's not done growing, either - she should get about six or seven feet tall.

[Sae has trouble imagining that! Poor Ven is having trouble enough controlling the friendly bird as it is what ever will he be able to do once she is even taller?!]

I have never had a pet, I wish I could offer you some advice.
