[One dark brown eye fills the screen. There are flecks of honey in that brown eye.]

I don't see anyone in there.

[She pulls the communicator away, brushing back a lock of her always difficult dirty-blonde hair. She's had a hard life and she's somewhere in her 30s.]

Well, that little white beast said that there were people I could talk to on this thing. And that my world was destroyed by the darkness. So how did I get here, huh? Why wasn't a wizard like Schmendrick spared? Or the Unicorn? They're both more powerful than I am and the Unicorn can fight the dark.

[More softly.] What's the point of being a wizard if you end up being the one needing to be saved? Damn that man. [Despite her angry words and tone, she's worried about him. He has become so dear to her.] And damn these demons for doing this.

This is a hard place to keep moving in sometimes.

Then maybe you should step back sometimes and wonder at things you've never seen before.

There are plenty of new things here. [Slowly, it's making her start to focus on those enjoyable parts, and relax a little.]

New worlds, with everything they have that I've never learned about before.

[She almost sounds shy now. Almost.] I've never been to another world before. This is the first new world I've been on.

You can travel from one to another here.

So I've heard. Have you been to many other worlds?

Yes; I thought it was best to travel and see them, to see if we could learn more about our situation. Recently, a new world has been brought from the darkness, and I traveled there with my friends to see what we could learn about how it was achieved. Unfortunately, we didn't find anything new.

What world would you suggest for a new adventurer? [She offers a slight grin and runs a hand through that always messy hair.]

That depends on what type of land you'd like to see. There are cities under the water, there are deserts, there are gardens and castles, and Eastern lands, and many different types.

[Blink. Blink. Stare.]

You're capable of exploring an underwater city? Are you a magician?

[She laughs pleasantly, and lies.] I don't have magical powers like that.

It's something about the nature of these worlds. When we visit them, our form changes to fit in.

That's amazing.

It is. I'd really like to know how it's done some day.

Sometimes magic can't be explained.

That may be. But even if it's magic, there's a method to it. Was it a ritual, a chant, a summoning, or something else?

How should I know? You've been to other worlds, not me.

[She shakes her head and explains.] They're just the questions I'd still have. So far, I still don't know.

Maybe it's different for different worlds.

A wholly different system for each. It could be. I wonder if bringing them together like this alters them at all.

It might. You might ask the magician who brought them all together.

We've tried, but he refuses to explain things and often hides information instead. [For those reasons, she's lost some faith in King Mickey over time, even without the heartless affecting her.]

So we've continued on our own.

Oh? And who is he to hide this information?

He's the king of one these lands. [So in a way, even she would have to admit he has certain rights; but they don't make the actions right, when it affects everyone.]

Of one. Shouldn't it be up to the leader of each land to decide and not just him?

I agree. However, fighting the darkness is still the priority right now.
