[Video / Radiant Garden Action ]

[The video was an accident. A button had been mistakenly hit when the Commander had reached up to the bed stand trying in vain to reach the small bottle of potion. He coughed raggedly from his couched position on the floor. He was far to weak to stand and the potion bottle was just out of reach…

His hand dropped away. It was just too far. This would be the end then. Coughing his last few breaths out on the rented floor of a Radiant Garden hotel. At least the pain would end. Everything would be over and he wouldn’t have to endear this pain any more. That almost sounded good.

A heartless danced closer just waiting for the man’s final defenses to drop. ]

A heartless?

[Eagle managed to choke the question out before collapsing in a coughing fit again. Why was a heartless here?]

[The moogles just... complied. That was all they could do.]

[Rinoa's there as soon as she can be, but unfortunately she's never been to Radiant Garden before, so it takes her longer than it should to find him.]

[Eagle is still managing to hold on even despite the delay. His stubborn streak was giving the heartless a difficult time. There was no way the Commander wanted to just give up. Quitting before the end was really a detestable idea to him.
The heartless slithers over to a corner when Rinoa bursts in but it doesn't leave the room. The chance to collect a heart is too tempting. ]

Rinoa, I'm sorry I made you worry again.

[Action]

[Hyne bless that stubborn streak, because Rinoa's tempted to kick his ass. You do not do this sort of thing, Eagle! She falls to her knees next to him, resisting the urge to smack him upside the head for being so dramatic. Especially on a different world from her.]

Stop talking right this instant and let me heal you. [And with that, she brings up her magic and starts pouring it into him. He's getting a piece of her mind when she's done, though.]

[Talking really didn't hurt as much as just attempting to breath but at her order he wisely decided to take her advice. The healing waves washing over him managed to dissolve all of the pain he was feeling until once again he felt like his old self. Her magic really was potent against that illness!

He had to risk it. Just one more little phrase that he really felt he had to say even if it might irritate her. ]

Thank me by not doing that again! [She will MAKE you listen, Eagle! Once she's done pouring magic into him, she points one finger at his chest and gives him one of her fiercest looks.] You know I've told you to come see me if you're starting to feel sick again! Why didn't you?!

The potions had been enough to keep the illness at bay until now. Maybe it still would have worked if I had been able to reach that one.

[The lone potion sitting over there on the nightstand. ]

I really wasn't expecting an attack that powerful. It must have had something to do with that heartless being in here...

[She was going to launch into another tirade about how potions don't solve everything but that last bit catches her attention before she can start, and she gasps loudly.]

Heartless?! In here?

[Where is it she will fry it.]

It was really close for a time...

[Eagle looks around the room himself. Loosing sight of one of those creatures really wasn't a good idea. ]

There! In that corner.

[And he makes a move as if to stand and draw his own weapon. Ill or not he wanted to face that heartless too.]

Stay down! [Well Nurse Rinoa isn't going to let you hurt yourself, and she's got some pretty fast magical reflexes. The very first thing she does is throw up a Protect barrier which shines a bit green, and in less than a second she's shooting a Thundaga spell at it dead center.]

[Good job nurse Rinoa. Due to her quick actions the heartless explodes easily enough leaving only the colorful supplies they carry in its wake. It must have already taken damage some how or... she was just that angry that her powers were strong enough the kill the thing with one hit. ]

[Bitty!Heartless are easy to kill in one hit. It's the big ones that cause her more trouble.]

No, I... [He does looks around to make sure.]

I only ever saw the one.
