[It was a sad day inside the jedi household. The building was empty, place quiet, and Qui-Gon was standing in a hallway fingertips pressed against a wall. His eyes were closed, his head bowed, and he heaved a slow sigh.]

This house is empty yet I can feel the presence of those departed. [He walked along the hall again stopping for a moment tapping at a wall.] Although we might leave this place and return to our worlds, we must always be mindful what impressions we live in this world. What we will miss, what we have changed.

[He paused, as if feeling something he did not want to feel and brought his hands back into the safety of his sleeves. He moved on.]

We should remember those that have left us with fondness. Two more are no longer with us. Obi-Wan. I wish to speak to you.

[With that, he cuts the feed.]

Of course. Have you lost anyone here?

Not anyone here, exactly, but I've lost people.

The pain is the same I assure you.

I'm not surprised to hear it. Even if people are just leaving to go back to where they came from it still means we won't get to speak to them, or see them.

Will they... be alright?

I have no doubt. They are strong individuals, perhaps someone in the darkness called for them. We must always have hope.

Hope is a very powerful thing. You must not underestimate it.

[Obi-Wan had noticed, too. One by one, they'd all vanished. Leroy, then Padmé, then Anakin. At least Qui-Gon had come back and he wanted to be hopeful that the others would, too. It was still disheartening and he'd gone out to the gummi hangar to work on his ship.]

Yes, Master. I'll be there in a moment.

[He doesn't say anything else, not even comment on the emptiness of the house. He can imagine what Qui-Gon is feeling, so he just turns off the feed and heads back towards their house.]

[Quietly, he heads back into the house, slowing to a stop only when he sees Qui-Gon near. What did he want to talk about, he wonders? The disappearances? A mission of their own? He could only guess.]

You wanted to speak with me?

[Qui-Gon had made his way to the living area where he was silently meditating. When Obi-Wan arrived he didn't lift himself from where he sat.]

Loneliness is a strong emotion. Regret and fear can consume our minds. I have been patient.

[And he senses you're hiding things.]

[Obi-Wan stares at Qui-Gon for a long moment, not saying anything, even as he lowers his gaze. He knows his Master well enough to know that that means he hadn't been suppressing his anxieties as well as he thought he was. He still doesn't wish to talk about them-- any of them, but he suspects he won't have much of a choice.

Deflecting these talks would only land him in more trouble; it always had in the past, so he is honest. Perhaps blunt-- with a boldness he can only seem to find staring at the floor for the moment.]

I don't want to tell you. They're not things you need to know.

Unfortunately, it is all we can do in our current situation.
