Dammit, Allen, stop moving!

[Kanda was sitting down on his bedroom floor trying to wrestle with a heartless on his lap. The thing was lashing and clawing away at his bare arms but Kanda didn't seem to mind. The scene was bloody and all because Allen didn't want to wear the ribbon in Kanda's hand.]

If you keep moving, I won't be able to put this thin on right and I'll accidentally kill you. Is that what you want? [The heartless didn't reply it just tried to breath free of the grasp it was in, one of it's claws catching a very deep cut across his arms. Kanda made a sound of annoyance before shoving him off tossing the ribbon away.]

Fine, stay naked. If I mistake your for one of the other heartless it won't be my fault. [The poor heartless got back to it's feet and started moving around the room.]

Is anyone else having this problem? How the hell do we turn him back?!

[Kanda had made sure the door was sealed shut but he didn't move away from it. He had a hand against the cold wood leaning against it for a long quiet moment. It didn't take long for the heartless inside to start scratching away and the sound was so simple yet it was driving him insane. His fist clenched, his eyes closed, and he moved away with a sound of annoyance.]

That idiot. He really is unlucky.

[sanguineheels]

[once kanda's outside she turns to watch him, her facial expression mostly unreadable. She's known Kanda for a long time, and this is the first time she's seen him this riled up.

Once he's stepped away from the door, she lets her own arms drop to her sides in order to reach over and curl her fingers around Kanda's hand.]

[He was lost in his thoughts when he felt her hand in his. He turned and looked at her, his fingertips slipping through hers, a small notion he was trying to embrace her in her time of need.]

I screwed up. I thought he would be safe here but- I didn't know this could have happened. I'm going to fix this, Lenalee.

[sanguineheels]

[her shoulders shake at his words, her bowed head hiding the expression on her face. She shakes her head rapidly, closing the distance between the two of them and dropping her hand away from his to wrap her arms around his waist, her face buried against Kanda's shoulder.]

It's not your fault. It's not Allen's fault either! It doesn't even matter who's it is....

[decaying]

[Arms came up to embrace Lenalee but he didn't say anything. No matter what Lenalee would try and say he wasn't going to let up that this was his fault. He just held her. No insult, no comment.]

[sanguineheels]

[She would punch you if she knew how much self blame you're doing Kanda. It's entirely unlike you. Then again, things have changed.

She's quiet, taking what comfort she can from the arms that are around her. Even though they have no idea what to do, she doesn't want to give up on Allen yet.]

We'll figure something out... right?

[decaying]

Right.

[And there was some truth to that. After all, he wasn't going to leave things like this: he was going to get Allen back. Somehow.]

Stop crying. I'll fix this.

[sanguineheels]

[She takes a great big breath in an attempt to steel herself against the tide of her emotions. Crying is easy to start but harder to stop.]

Let me help, Kanda. I don't want to just standby and watch while the two of you run yourselves into the ground. Please.

[decaying]

[He had expected her to utter something around those lines and truth be told, He wasn't sure how to take it. This had been his burden ever since Allen had given him his last moments with Alma but he didn't have the right to exclude Lenalee. This was the second time Allen ran from her, anyway.]

Whatever, but you can't let it bring you down either. We're getting him back, there's no doubts there. We just need to figure it out.

[sanguineheels]

[She nods, slowly. They HAVE to get him back. In her mind, there's no other option.]

We have to. I won't take failure as an option!

[decaying]

I'm not planning on failing so you don't have to worry about that.

[sanguineheels]

[she sniffles, squares her shoulders and steps away from Kanda, though she doesn't quite let go of the material of his shirt as she wipes her face with her other hand.]

I'll do everything I can to help, Kanda. Everything.

[decaying]

For now let's just give it time. Maybe he'll change back on his own.

[sanguineheels]

[a nod.]

We'll keep an eye on him. I don't want to imagine what might happen if he gets loose. If someone tries to....

[decaying]

That's why I'm turning him red. Some guy is on his way. We'll just make sure if he does get loose that no one attack the red heartless.

[sanguineheels]

Red? [really? She wonders...] Who is it?

[decaying]

You'll find out soon enough. [Which means he didn't bother exchanging names when they did speak.]
