[And onto the video screen comes a grinning face, looking just a bit excited. But then, he has something in his conniving little head. He can't quite seem to help it.

Or maybe he can. Half of his actions are a carefully kept facade. But either way, here's the grin and the video feed fidgets just a bit as he sets it down on a table.]

Good afternoon to everyone! I... am looking for something.

I think I'm getting the general lay of this place. Yesyes, it's starting to make sense. Fascinating as it is. Strange as it is. But I've yet to find a certain something I would rather like to acquire.

So tell my, dearies, can anyone tell me where I might find a spinning wheel?

[He offers her a grin right back.] We should! That is the next step. Then, a spinning wheel!

Right, and then the spinning wheel. ( although, hadn't he mentioned something about...

she tilts her head and pulls her lips into a tight line. ) You're not still planning to get it from Maleficent, are you?

Why, whatever would give you that idea?

[...that's not an answer, Rumpelstiltskin. Which is not a good sign.]

( his lack of a proper answer just caused her to hold her breath. she frowned. that would be one adventure that Belle would be sitting out, thank you very much. she had heard the tales of the Maleficent from their world — two of them had to be doubly terrible, yes? )

Rumpelstiltskin... ( but she had no body for the sentence. she frowned all the more, though. ) You can't just find one here? In town?

[He giggles, trying to stop from prancing just a bit. He mostly succeeds.]

What's the challenge in that, hmm?

But if it'll make you happy, Belle, I will see about acquiring a less controversial spinning wheel. [For now.]

Really? ( color her surprised. Belle certainly didn't think she still had that kind of sway with him or any choices he were to make. then again, she's never really assumed she could sway his mind when it came to his magic and acquiring things to use for said magic. )

Well... ( give her a moment, she's still trying to get over the initial shock that he's agreed not to go chasing some crazed sorceress. ) Good, that's good. Excellent.

( nope, still surprised at how easy that was. )

[...he still feels bad about getting her in trouble and killed. So she kind of has him wrapped around her little finger at the moment. Not that it's all that different from before. He's just a little more aware of what not having her in his life is like.]

Yes, it is. ( she's still wary, though. at his question, her slender shoulders rise and fall in a shrug. )

I just didn't imagine you would so readily agree not to be mischievous.

I agreed nothing of the sort. [A cheery little grin.] I've simply agreed to turn my energies towards other pursuits.

( she shakes her head softly )

Other less mischievous pursuits, possibly?

So then my dear Rumpelstiltskin, ( she enunciates his name rather playfully ) you will have to let me know when we may move in so I can begin the cleaning and make the purchase of a new teapot.

( you know, since he's terrible at making tea. )

Wonderful. And I'll track down the landlord. [Oh he's excited and can't quite help but wiggle his fingers in glee.]

( she giggles. ) Look at you, you're like a young boy in a candy store with how thrilled you are.

New business ventures make me a bit giddy. I can't help it. [A little laugh and a wave of his hand.]

I do seem to remember that, yes. ( more chuckling ) It's nice to see you smile.

[Another odd, trilling little giggle at that.] Well. It's nice to hear you laugh. So it's a good afternoon in general.
