【 012 】 Kaiba Seto - VIDEO - Traverse Town
[Today's a special day in the Kaiba household! What's the occasion? Seto has finally started phase one to world domination! No, not really, but it is for something glorious. The guy was crouched his head and hands inside a big machine. He seemed to be doing something and when he finished, the screen above lit up giving the words TETRIS off in a bright colorful hue. He moved away, shut the slot and brushed his hands off.]
The good thing about being away from a world with rules is having freedom from trademarks and registered brands. It's all in my possession now.
[He moves away. A room of his home has become his bunker of technology. There's five machines in total, all showing a different game on the screen. They're old games but with a very modern feel.]
I promised myself I would begin my company again and this is my first step. I'm not exactly sure where my first arcade will be. Regardless, you fools haven't exactly been exposed to something like this so you're in for a surprise. They're addicting, they're entertaining, and they're certainly worth the munny you're bound to waste on them.
[And then his excitement get's deterred.]
The only problem is the munny. They come in too many odd shapes and sizes and I can't make a universal slot to accept them. You're going to have to use game cards. Don't worry your heads on it just yet, that's something to worry about once I've tested them, which is why I'm here.
I challenge anyone to beat my high score: I need game testers. I'm willing to pay you for your time.

[Magic card game politics he knows nothing about. :P ]

[That is certainly true of Eagle. ]
What does interest you?

I can't think of a more fitting reason to make games.
And who knows, maybe making people happy will weaken the control the heartless have over the worlds.
Is there anything I can help you with?
no subject
That was actually something I had thought about, whether happiness could battle darkness. It's proven itself fickle. The darkness really is weaker than everybody thinks.

It would be funny if something as simple as a game drove the heartless away from a world.
[The irony. Everyone is preparing for war, but just smiling ends up being enough. ]

It can. I will make it so. Back to the basics: what destroys heartless, Eagle? I have been controlling heartless and dusk for almost seven months now. I haven't gotten any less morbid like those that fall for the influence of the darkness. I travel into the darkness myself to look for my brother, and I'm not a villain like Hades.
It's all about power, how much trust and confidence you have in yourself. I won't let something fickle like that pull me down. Even Maleficent knew I wasn't going to let her control me.

That Kaiba could control the heartless wasn't really new information that he was journeying into the darkness and speaking to people like Maleficent was a touch jarring.]
You must have a very strong will. A person less sure of themselves might have given into the darkness long ago.
I think the darkness isn't so much bad as it is difficult to control. Even if you think you have a handle on it the darkness could still slip up on you if you weaken in your convictions.
Since you have first hand knowledge of it do you think that is the case?
