[In the streets of Twilight Town, there's a man quietly drifting about with his hood pulled up over his head, obscuring his features with shadow. Unlike many, he retains the memory of what he was doing before he stepped accidentally through that portal and that his current state is a result of that. Even so, he seems to be practicing the utmost caution and any decent glimpse at his face would reveal a great deal of weariness and sadness. The suns of Tatooine and his exile have not been kind to him; it has been three years since the fall of the Order for him.

And even in this place, he is wary of the Empire. But Obi-Wan cannot stand by and not help.]

Others have no doubt pieced together that walking into these various distortions in time and space will alter your body and sometimes your mind, but I sense an unusual amount of darkness coming from them. Whether you are different or have remained the same, I advise the utmost care when you travel. There is no guarantee the consequences of coming into contact with one will be merciful.

No, not yet. If I focus, I can sense ripples of darkness from the portals and try to pinpoint them, but they both put out and absorb so much energy, it's difficult to distinguish a trail. I am learning, but it will take some time. Time we may not have.

I have been able to run scans on several of these portals. I think they must have a magical origin... the signals I get from them are the kind of signals you would expect from some kind of magic, but like you I haven't been able to pinpoint the source yet.
Even getting an accurate count of how many portals there are on a world is difficult since they seem to move and shift shape randomly.

[It feels as if he's been gone from this place for a very long time, and while logically he knows that Qui-Gon was here before he "left", it still seems to surprise him to see him. Or at least, in a form that was not of a ghost.]

I stepped through a portal and I assume it sent me forward in time.

More like a rough decade and a half. [And despite this, he still manages something of a smile.] I'm more worried about the others.

Then again, I'm a bit worried too. This little... mess has affected someone very dear to me. So if there's a way to see it put right, I'm terribly interested in finding it out.

I believe a good number of us intend to investigate these weird distortions. Though how exactly we can go about investigating them without having to walk through them is a much harder task than expected.

If we combine our efforts, it might put us on the right track. For what it's worth, I can sense the waves of darkness they're putting off with enough focus. I make no guarantees, but I could attempt to track where they're originating. After all, the closer we get to the source, the stronger those ripples of darkness should become.

I would prefer not to meddle with the portals themselves either.

This isn't the first time it's meddled with this galaxy in extreme ways and I doubt it'll be the last. We have reason to believe that a dark witch of sorts is behind much of it.

Whatever these disturbances are, they are clearly the work of the devil. The devil takes on many forms and uses any means to mislead man. Do not fall prey to his follies, the lord will see us through this catastrophe.

We should be wary, I agree, but I would advise against making such quick assumptions. We don't truly know what's behind these distortions. It could be an accident for all we know.
