[011] Action for Maleficent
[Saleh's eyes widen as he sees the familiar visage of the young girl with indigo hair. But the glowing yellow eyes immediately catch his notice.]
Lady Myrrh...is that you?
[He had been tricked with an illusion of Myrrh before, and he isn't about to let it happen again so easily.]
Yes, Saleh...it's me. Please...come back to us.
[A pause.] But...I cannot. Not until we have restored our worlds from the darkness.
Then let me help you. I come bearing a message from my father. In order to restore the worlds, you must control the darkness.
Control it? That's...dangerous...
[Yet Saleh's voice trails off as he seems to consider something. To control the darkness, one would have to understand it. Perhaps, by understanding it, he would have a better idea on how to defeat it. It was a very risky idea at best, one that makes him hesitate. Saleh kneels down in front of Myrrh, looking straight into her yellow eyes.]
Great Dragon...should I really do this?

Great Dragon...should I really do this?
[action]
[The voice of Maleficent is at first ethereal in sound, until she appears in person. She had made a mistake, trying to alter reality too much before, but this... was turning out to be a potentially rewarding change of plans.]
You should heed your ally's words. Only by controlling the darkness can you also protect yourself and your home from it.
[action]
And what of the risks? Losing that control can lead to some severe consequences.
[action]
[A silky smile draws her mouth back as she slowly steps around Saleh.]
And you, Saleh, fit the criteria quite nicely.
[action]
[He considers her words carefully. Only those who are weak-willed seeking an easy way out would turn to darkness...and find that it's not so easy. The biggest reason not to turn to darkness, indeed. Especially considering what had happened to Prince Lyon. A weak prince who used the darkness to bring his father back from the dead. Not only did he suffer for it, but the whole world had suffered as a result. Saleh, on the other hand, had taken the longer, more strenuous road many times, and had become stronger for it. It was no coincidence that the mistress of all evil would be approaching him now, in his moment of doubt.]
[However, he was curious, if only the weak-willed would turn to darkness.]
Why do you turn to the darkness?
[action]
You wish to know why? The light is harsh and weak and could not give me what I wished. You see it before you now. Worlds are lost and the King and his precious light struggle to bring even one back. I possess a strong will, so the darkness welcomed me and I welcomed it. I take control where most cannot. That is why I'm here now. There is a mutual benefit from those who are indeed strong enough to receive the darkness' power and use it properly.
[action]
...What is it that you wished for?
[action]
If you're here to pry personal answers from me, you're wasting your time. You realize I am not here to make idle conversation, do you not?
[action]
Forgive me, but I suspect this would be a rare opportunity to consult with someone who has mastered the darkness. I would prefer for my decisions to be as informed as possible.
[action]
[Albeit, he was the one who almost lost that very same friend to the darkness for falling too far and ended up struggling with a very personal demon for over a year, but details. Saleh doesn't need those.]
[action]
[And it's a sincere apology, too. Now he ponders the story and he...isn't too intrigued. It sounds too similar to what Prince Lyon was trying to do. Relying solely on darkness was too dangerous...but if the light was this weak, then relying too heavily on it wouldn't be a good thing either. Saleh knows where his true strength comes from, and it's not from light or darkness.]
Tell me this: What sort of benefits can one gain from darkness and not the light? Is there nothing more than sheer power?
