[It's sometime in the evening and Hermione has been busy tidying up her new apartment. It looks wonderful, really. There's a new desk with tidy rows of books decorating its shelves against the wall, and by the window sill she's managed to find some flowers to match the curtains and add some color to the place. On the floor, however, there's a cauldron bubbling and oozing out white smoke across the floor. She doesn't seem to have a problem with it.]

I think that about does it.

[She pours some more ingredients into what she's making before rubbing her hands together and standing up again.]

How unfortunate, I should have packed more ingredients. Now I'll have to restock on everything. Salamander tail, toad bile, crushed marigold's- do they even have these things here, I wonder?

[She settled herself on the bed, moving an open notebook onto her lap and scribbling things down.]

I hope everyone is doing well after last week's affair. Truth be told, I was worried about some of you.

I am from the what your king calls 'The Crusades'. Perhaps my time frame betrays me, but from where I am from this Witchcraft- no matter your reasoning.

I understand your frustrations but I assure you, the myths of witchcraft and wizardry rumored by most are not entirely set in stone. We do not dwell with the devil or its demons. We simply... exist.

Yes it does. My parents are not wizards and yet I was born with the talent. Some wizards have children that do not have an ounce of magic in them.

I never said that. There are those witches and wizards who walk the path of light and those unsavory sort who prefer to use their power for darker and selfish means.

I don't know where our powers came from but I assure you we're no different than most. At least most of us.
