[Kanda hadn't gone to work in a few days, he really hadn't left his bedroom either. Because the guy was so quiet, it was hard to notice he was still there but sometime during the afternoon, Kanda came out, hair loose, shirtless, and with a blue duck in tow. He went straight for the fridge, the duckling looking over his leg at all the things inside.]

You want something? I guess I need to feed you at some point, just choose something.

[At his master's command, it crept towards the fridge raided the vegetables and then dragged out the gallon of juice. Kanda frowned.]

Hey, not the whole damned thing! You're going to drink that from a bowl like a normal-

[But the duck didn't seem to listen. There went the gallon of juice and Kanda just threw his hands up and started rummaging through the cupboards.]

Fine. Do whatever you want. Just don't tell Allen about this. [He found what he was looking for, a bottle of rum he took from Port Royal.] I'm not in the mood for anything today.

[And Fai was pinging at the bottle of alcohol.]

Drinking alone for a reason?

[Since Allen had only just returned the day before, he hadn't really noticed a single change about Kanda, or the fact that he hadn't come out of his room in a while.

So with the still unhatched egg in his arms, Allen had started to make his way to the kitchen, but what he saw next was not something he never imagined a duck doing... drinking a gallon of juice. His eyes widened slightly before he coughed slightly, making himself known.]

Did your duck just really drink all that juice?

[He's starting to wonder just where it all goes in such a little guy.]

You aren't looking very cheerful today. Still suffering from the effects of those portals?

[He sitting now on the table watching the duck finish up the last drop of juice before falling backwards and panting with a very exaggerated tummy. Kanda frowned grabbing his bottle by the neck and bringing it to his lips.]

Mind your own damned business. [Yeah. He's totally effected by it.]

Sure. Let's put it that way.

I bet you won't tell me. Not that I mind, but I'm curious as to know why you hide it?

Kaaaanda, can you hear me or have you suddenly gone deaf?

[He moved in closer, wonder if something was up.]

I would but you did transmit this over the air... if you didn't want anyone to respond to it you should have been more careful.

It was an accident. Be satisfied with that.

I'm trying to ignore you. There's a difference, beansprout.

I don't want to think about it. I'm drinking to forget.

[He twitched slightly, gripping his egg ever so slightly.]

Kanda, it's rude to ignore people.

Understandable. Though how does hiding alcohol help with that?

Accidents like that always seem to happen when we least want people to notice, don't they?

Then take a hint, I don't want to deal with you.

I hide it because Allen doesn't like me to drink inside the house.

Your point? Why are you still talking to me?

[Okay that really ticked him off, more than seeing that alcohol. So, with the egg in his hand he threw it, hoping that it would hit him.]

I'm just trying to be nice! Stop acting like a jerk once in a while?!

Tch, idiot beansprout!

[He caught that egg before it crashed against him, standing up and glaring.]

I don't want to talk to you, or anyone else for that matter! What part of that don't you understand!

If you don't want to talk to us then why are you even sitting in the kitchen!

[Since Allen pretty much lives next door to this room. Although while not paying attention to the egg, it wriggled slightly.]

I can't sit in the kitchen of my own house? Just shut up. Good to know you're feeling better.

[This egg is starting to shake violently.]

I am only wondering if some one you knew had happened to see that transmission.

[Since Kanda was clearly upset and might need looking after. Eagle doesn't know Kanda well enough to know if he is the kind of person that should be watched when they are depressed or not.]

[she's carrying a basket full of laundry, she's straining to see over it. When she spots the half dressed Kanda and his ducklett, a smile dusts over her features. .. even if it's a bit confused]

Kanda, what are you doing?

[Allen is still annoyed and was about to say something before instead pointing to the egg.]

I didn't mean for that to happen.
