[Kanda hadn't gone to work in a few days, he really hadn't left his bedroom either. Because the guy was so quiet, it was hard to notice he was still there but sometime during the afternoon, Kanda came out, hair loose, shirtless, and with a blue duck in tow. He went straight for the fridge, the duckling looking over his leg at all the things inside.]

You want something? I guess I need to feed you at some point, just choose something.

[At his master's command, it crept towards the fridge raided the vegetables and then dragged out the gallon of juice. Kanda frowned.]

Hey, not the whole damned thing! You're going to drink that from a bowl like a normal-

[But the duck didn't seem to listen. There went the gallon of juice and Kanda just threw his hands up and started rummaging through the cupboards.]

Fine. Do whatever you want. Just don't tell Allen about this. [He found what he was looking for, a bottle of rum he took from Port Royal.] I'm not in the mood for anything today.

[He moved in closer, wonder if something was up.]

I'm trying to ignore you. There's a difference, beansprout.

[He twitched slightly, gripping his egg ever so slightly.]

Kanda, it's rude to ignore people.

Then take a hint, I don't want to deal with you.

[Okay that really ticked him off, more than seeing that alcohol. So, with the egg in his hand he threw it, hoping that it would hit him.]

I'm just trying to be nice! Stop acting like a jerk once in a while?!

[He caught that egg before it crashed against him, standing up and glaring.]

I don't want to talk to you, or anyone else for that matter! What part of that don't you understand!

If you don't want to talk to us then why are you even sitting in the kitchen!

[Since Allen pretty much lives next door to this room. Although while not paying attention to the egg, it wriggled slightly.]

I can't sit in the kitchen of my own house? Just shut up. Good to know you're feeling better.

[This egg is starting to shake violently.]

[Allen is still annoyed and was about to say something before instead pointing to the egg.]

I didn't mean for that to happen.

[Yeah. He noticed it, it was moving so much he held the egg with both his hands.]

You probably broke it. Idiot.

[His duckling somehow managed to get on the table, he's excited for a new friend!]

If I broke it it would have clearly broke, not wriggle.

[It finally started to crack, until eventually a small pokemon emerged, still sitting on Kanda's hands.]

Ah! It hatched and...it kind of wasn't what I was expecting.

[Whoa. What the hell is he supposed to do with this? He looks uncomfortable but he isn't about to throw a 'newborn' across the room. Maybe. Tori seems entertained, starts trying to cuddle it.]

Hey, back off. Let it catch its breath... or something.

[The creature blinked for a moment before jumping off and landing face first on the floor.]

Ah! [Allen finally makes his way over, going to it.]

Well, at least it has your personality.

[He laughs going back to his drink.]

Link Jr. are you okay?

[And he's already named it, picking it up and holding it, checking that the newborn pokemon was okay. Even though he was paying attention to his new companion, he looked over.]

Where did you even get the drink anyway?

[Must of been during his stay there, keeping away from them he figured.]

Well, I was use to him, like one would furniture, so yeah a little bit.

Does it matter? I heard there were bars there. I needed a drink.

[He just sighed slightly, more with relief than anything. After all if they had both been in the same bar Allen was sure he would have noticed.]

So you could drink there, why bring some back?
