07 Night ◐ Damp and bewildered [Video | Traverse Town]

[Turning on the communicator, Kaname gazed into the lens and hesitated to ask what was on his mind. He’d found himself in Traverse Town, water still clinging to his clothes and hair. A few stray droplets cascaded to the ground. It was strange… this place seemed familiar and yet not at all. Looking to either side, he finally found the resolve to speak.]

Salutations, everyone. [A moogle was standing nearby in the background]

This is going to sound a bit.. peculiar, but can anyone tell me …. Who I am? I seemed to have forgotten.. Somehow. [Never mind the fact that this wouldn’t be the first time Kaname had forgotten his own name but this time it was for a completely different reason. If he could remember the recent conversation he’d had with Belle about her own temporary memory loss he could have seen the irony in this]

That creature behind me… has told me all about these worlds and how we’ve all managed to arrive here.. Though it all seems a might fantastical to me I am in no position to dispute it. The- [He paused, for a moment to search for the right word] moogle, was it? Says that I’ve been here for some time… so perhaps one of you might know who I am? What sort of person .. I am?

[It was so jarring, not to be able to recall anything about himself nor his time here. What if he was something truly horrible? Did he really wish to learn the truth? He’d looked at his own attire and tried to guess at what sort of occupation he might have or for any clues. It was a fine suit.. but why was he so wet? There didn’t appear to be much water around…. Also... just why did the sun seem to bother him so? Did he have some kind of skin condition? There were so many questions and not enough answers]

[Ooc: As far as Kaname knows he's just a regular person, with amnesia. He hasn't even figured out what he is yet.

Maybe you shouldn’t annoy the Lord of the Underworld….. ]

I- don't think I did. [Kaname reached up and ran his fingers through his hair] I'm not in any pain.

Do you remember anything at all?

[That wasn't a typical Kaname response... it made her curious. ]

[A light chuckle] It would appear that I am a blank slate.

This city .. something about it is familiar but I'm not sure why.

Is such a thing possible? I hadn't considered it. [He looked to the moogle who affirmed as much]

[From what he could gather from earlier entries, his name was Kaname Kuran, he apparently had a sister named Yuuki, and he knew someone named Hotaru Tomoe, Aidou, and Rima... but he hadn't read the conversations, just the posts]

I- have narcolepsy? [Referring to the time of the portals. Not to mention that some of the other posts were a bit unusual out of context]

I... apparently have been a source of concern in the past. I am sorry if my condition has been a nuisance to anyone.

I'm not so sure about that. Everyone was acting strange when you were ...uh...in that sleep. You might be able to look through replies for more clues.

[Kaname will just be over here, fretting over his health. The sleeping randomly, the aversion to sunlight, the need for iron tablets? Was he really so sickly? Was it his health issues that caused the amnesia?]

I... I will have to look into it.. soon. It's a bit much to take in all at once. Do you know of my sister? [At least it sounded like it was his sister. They had the same last name] Is Yuuki living somewhere nearby?

Or someone by the name of Aidou, Rima, or Hotaru?

I am in a way. [To him this event is rather odd, he honestly didn't know how to react, if at all. If Yuuki was here he knew it wouldn't be good at all.]
