[Two blue eyes framed with unruly blonde hair stare at the screen, before there's a mumbled, "Am I holding it too close" and it's pulled away to show Tidus smiling.]

So I'm having a little trouble processing everything that's been said about our worlds...and everything. I don't want to take everything that's been said to be true until I see it for myself. And I'm sure I'm not the only one here who wants to see their friends. Anyway, even if some worlds are gone, we somehow managed to escape, and maybe other people have too. I don't know how long they're going to be safe, and I don't want to put them at risk...

I'm taking names right now and I'll let you know everything later, okay? Sooooo how many others are interested?

*Look, new clothes, Holly J went shopping to get out of the cowgirl gear.* ...I'm still in. Even if we got separated while looking around. *She's not blaming you, even if its your fault.*

Our friends might be on one of these other light planets, right? Maybe we should go check one of them. While we're flying we can see how these ships control, maybe figure out how close it is to riding a bike?

What's there to know? There have always been other worlds out there apart from the one you call home. Have you ever considered that every major event in your life could lead to creating an alternate reality wherein you chose to do something different?

[ But she'll save the brainbreak for another time. ]

[Looks nice! Tidus is about to smirk, but her comment has him smiling and scratching the back of his head.] Heh... I run fast. Good to know!

They might be. It's as good a place to start as any. What's a bike?

Yes, you do. *Flat like she realized it when you ran off leaving her in the dust.*

That's what my thinking was, it works toward a few goals at once. *Sigh, slightly annoyed.* Nevermind, maybe we'll find one here and I can explain it.

[Can has Riku just... starring.. because wow; Sora told him that there was some sort of older Tidus around; but... yeah, seeing it himself is yet a totally different thing. (He still isn't quite certain if there is everything kosher with this... but time will tell, right?)]

[Tidus knows that stare all too well. It reminded him of the stare he received when doing something stupid, even though it's different.]

How do you know me? Is there some third other-me running around?

Not specifically, but I think anyone who ended up here has someone they miss.

[AWWW VEN YOU'RE INSPIRATIONAL. Tidus smiles.]

Well, yeah, maybe. Sometimes in life you have thousands of choices, and sometimes only two. But the possibilities are endless just like the outcomes. Whatever happens, the reality is always different from the one you could have chosen. I don't see what this has to do with finding our home worlds and our friends?

[He solemns up a little.] Look Holly J., I'm sorry.

Sounds like a plan. [Shrugs, thinking she thinks he's an idiot now.] Works for me.

Just thought it might help with your processing. You seem like a smart boy in any case.

And with this line of thinking, it could be possible that there is a universe where our home worlds and our friends escaped the destruction.

*She's not mad.* Just... don't go abandoning me on other worlds, okay?

We should ask around to figure out which worlds are safest to go visit... I can't exactly fight monsters. *She looks upset to admit to something she can't do. Also she doesn't think you're stupid, she thinks your world is stupid for not having bikes.*

What about you? Who are your friends?

[Tidus thinks about what Ven said. It sounds like something he'd say to everyone else, for morale. That didn't mean he entirely believed it. He thought he did, yet...] Yeah, our bonds can be the difference between victory and defeat. But I prefer the real thing.

I'll help! [Sunny smile.]

*Holly J isn't good at sincere smiles, but here's one... its just a little awkward.*

I know a little bit of self defense... but it was more for staying in shape and maybe kicking a mugger in the shin.

How about this. It's lame, but I'm a pretty good cook. You protect me and I'll bring sandwiches?

No. Maybe! I've seen people, but I didn't get everyone's names. What do they look like?

[He should! Tidus decides he was too harsh, so he adds with sincerity.]

You know, I'm thinking. The bonds we create when we cherish people mean that they're still around. So we'll find our friends, it's just a matter of time!

Well, understanding the whole "parallel universes" thing on the first explanation. Merits some form of praise at least.

Yuna... what's she like?

[Believe him, that stare looks different... though who knows, Tidus might find himself subject to it sooner or later anyway. For now Riku will just shake his head in amusement.]

I'm kind of from one. Maybe.

She's this girl! [Tidus wins at descriptions.]

[Knowing Tidus, it's possible. He pauses, almost as if he's afraid to ask. He scratches the back of his head.]

Is he really like me?

[His smile warms up at that.]

I was pretty much the same way. I never thought I'd have to really fight.

Lame? I can't think of a better arrangement!

[ So clear on that, Tidus. Thankfully, she knows who you're talking about. ]

Well, if we're going to keep a look out for her, I'm afraid you're going to have to be a bit more specific than that. There are about a thousand other girls I can name off the top of my head, you know.

Age aside; you might as well be his twin.

Is this freaking you out as much as it is for me?

She's shorter than me. Her skin is kind of pale, but it looks nice because she has brown hair that's kind of a...golden-ish shade? And it goes to her shoulders and it's kind of swooshy. She has one green and one blue eye, and they're both really bright!

She has a nice smile. When she really smiles. It's different from the smile she makes for the sake of everyone else.

Her clothes are funny though. They look nice on her, but they're really modest and kind of bulky.

I haven't seen them, but I'll keep looking!

[It's never lost!]

[nodnod] We'll run into eachother eventually!

[ The way he was gushing reminded her of someone. If anything, she was waiting for the sparkles. ]

With all the detail you gave, I'm guessing she's someone important if you know her that intimately.

I got some people interested, and hopefully more will show up. Maybe they'll tell people they know.

[Yeah, he's avoiding the in general part.]

[He would sparkle if he could. He settles for the closest option, his eyes brighter than before.]

[Smiles, hoping it will distract her. It works sometimes.]

[So much for playing dumb. His smile fades briefly before he manages to again, speaking cheerfully. Time for another tactic.]

I'm fine, Lightning!

[And here comes the nervous laughter. He scratches the back of his head, which is bowed, mostly to avoid meeting her eyes.]

Really! We're all adjusting. But we have something we can look forward to.

[Defeated, and slightly surprised to see her concern (though less surprised than he'd expect), he glances at Lightning before looking down again.]

I'm worried about Yuna. And the others.

Sorts of.

[It isn't the carbon copy thing that raises his alarm bells - he's dealt with the phenomena often enough by now - but the fact that you actually exist... and the current question he is wondering whether you are Nobody, Replica or non of the above.]

Everything is inevitable, Tidus. No matter if you were brought here or if she was brought here, all this is inevitable. If you were to find her again in this place, that too is inevitable.

[ A very small smile. ]

Still. It never hurts to dream.

That's not true. Nothing is ever inevitable. If it's your story, then what happens is always up to you.

Maybe it's just a coincidence?

[He looks hopeful, but he knows better. He tries to come up with every possibility he can think of, and none of them make any more sense.]

Yeah...I know.

[He keeps looking down. He appreciates what Lightning's saying, but it's hard to feel better until he does reclaim his world from Darkness. Still, it can't hurt anyone to act optimistic, and something about what Lightning says next inspires him. He glances back up to smile at her.]

We can't give up on them! They're all strong people, so we won't keep them waiting forever!

Maybe.

[He is not willing to bet on it though. Sorry, Tidus.]

So how long have you known Tidus?

How long haven't I known him, would probably be the better question. We are childhood friends.

Maybe he'll turn up and I can meet him for myself.

[How could he forget? He may not have known anyone here for very long, but it was the same for everyone else. None of them were truly alone. It wasn't like ending up in Spira. Tidus nods, determination in his eyes renewed.]

Right. We can't think of the what-ifs, or anything else that could distract us. We have to score!

[ Brave boy, challenging hitsuzen. ]

There are certain points in your life one would consider inevitable. What happens after these events are indeed up to you entirely. Living, the existence of it can be compared to crossroads. You are led down one road to a point where you have to make a decision. And so it goes, on and on until the next point you must make.
