Good evening, dearies. [Rumpelstiltskin is all smiles, as per usual.] And I do hope everyone is well

I was hoping, perhaps, for just a bit of advice!

[He wiggles his fingers a bit, drumming them together before he speaks again.] These little shadow creatures -- the Heartless... does anyone know anything about capturing them? So far my magic mostly seems to send them scattering. To bits.

[To regroup wherever Heartless go to regroup.] But I'd love to take a closer look at one, examine this darkness to better understand it.

Well, any input would be delightful.

And that aside, if anyone has any business, the door to by shop is always open. Belle, dear. I may be heading out for a bit of exploring. If you are about, would you mind terribly minding the store?

[A bit of a pause and he adds, off-handedly.] Sebastian, do tell me how things are going with you, hmm?

Ehhheheheeh~! Another person interested in the darkness... why so many all at once...?

[The question was asked more to himself than to the man the video was intended for. ]

Why is it that you are seeking the heartless~?

We're surrounded by it and little else. There's only so much to catch one's wandering eyes.

[But Rumpelstiltskin smiles.] Because I do not understand them. Their origin is foreign from my own magic. And I wish to find out more about it.

The heartless aren't difficult to find, not at all~! Just ask for them and they will appear...

Caging them however...~

[He snickers a bit behind a sleeve covered hand. ]

They can be very slippery... Do you have anything that could hold one~?

Oh they're like most scavengers, yes.

[Another grin here, but it dissolves into a short, manic burst of laughter.]

That's my current project! Build a cage to hold a shadow. It sounds quite challenging, doesn't it?

[Manic laughter matched by wild amusement. ]

Very challenging~! Impossible even... some might say~! Impenetrable enough to hold a figment... and what kind of bait would be used to lure them~?

Lure them? They crawl everywhere like oversized ants as it is.

But certainly not impossible. I'm quite sure of htat. [His head tilts to the side just slightly, high pitched little hum.]

But getting them into a trap, wouldn't you need to attract them some how~?

Unless it has a heart in it why would they bother entering~?

I said nothing about entrapping, deary. I'm just as content to hunt them.

['Deary' gets him a snicker. What a silly thing to be called!]

All you want is to see a heartless~? That could be arranged... but ah, I wonder~ How close are you to 'that butler'~? You are very good friends maybe~?

See? No, significantly more than see. Examine. Study. [Poke with a magical stick.]

That butler? I'm afraid you may have to elaborate.

That could still be arranged... there really would be no reason to try and trap them...~

[Not when Undertaker can just call the heartless to him. ^^]

You mentioned Sebastian, I wondered if he was a friend~

Could it now? Well that would be convenient.

[Here he grins, another quick, manic sort of giggle.] I did, yes. I would call him a friend, yes.

Very convenient~ For any friend of Sebastian's something like that could be arranged~

[He has always found Sebastian entertaining. ]

Is that so? Well, how nice! [Curious though. Very curious.]

[So they end up being curious about each other... ]

What is it you are searching for~? A way to defeat the heartless or... something more~?

[It can only end... "well"?]

In part, yes. To defeat them. To understand them and this darkness. After all, I'm used to know the ins and outs of the magic in a world. I like to learn what I can.

How troublesome... to be so far away from the things you are familiar with~

[His information network was largely gone too. He had to setup a new one here when he arrived. ]

Admittedly, it's annoying, yes. I had things somewhat planned back home. But there's no real sense bemoaning it too much. I find it better to go about learning this place instead.

There are many interesting things to learn about here as well~
The heartless... they must have been on our worlds but unseen until they attacked~ It is fun to imagine how that must have happened~

Are there? Care to share some of these, deary?

I might~! But only for a price...~
