001 ❇ [Video] & [Action] Traverse Town

[Edward stands, arms crossed, brows knit in front of a handfull of moogles that surround him in a semi circle. A last, unseen moogle is holding the communicator open, broadcasting this exchange in video. The blonde haired boy's frown is set sternly as he eyes the moogles in front of him silently, almost as if he's trying to absorb what they've just tried to tell him. The moogles fidget uncomfortably under his gaze. Eventually, Ed shouts back at the moogles, the last half of a unheard conversation.]

What the hell do you mean my world is gone!? A whole world can't just disappear over night! [the moogles jump at the outburst but one shakes its head in response, holding up its tiny paws.]

Sorry, Kupo! But it's true... Your world was lost to the darkness. There's nothing you can do right now!

[Ed scowls, his expression twisting slightly as he struggles to hold back the panic that's trying so hard to settle in his stomach. Nothing he can do? He's not about to listen to that.] NOTHING I can do? Do I look like an idiot to you!? What the hell are you anyway? Is Alphonse here? Winry? Did you assholes drag them both into this mess? Tell me where they are, damnit! [The one moogle shakes its head, while the others slink behind him. This guy shouts a little bit too much for them.]

Tch. [He glances down at the hotel key and money in his free hand before clenching it tightly.] Damnit... After all of this, I'm stuck here with no way out? I'm not going to just sit around and wait for something to happen. If you think that's what's going to happen you're wrong!

[Edward glowers up at the floating device recording all of this, and scowls. He says nothing more before reaching up and snatching the device, effectively shutting it off. Giving the moogles one last stern and disapproving glare he shoves the communicator into his pocket and stalks down the street towards the hotel. Passers by might notice a somewhat short statured blonde haired boy in a deep red coat.]

Uh, sorry. I know this sounds weird, but you've actually been here before. It was almost a year ago. Most people don't remember when they come back from this darkness.

[The remark about him having been here before? totally lost on him.]

I don't remember ever meeting a guy like you before. Who the hell did you say you were?

[Winry had been kept in her room for at least the past day. Looking at the Gummi block and trying to figure out how exactly it worked. It was such an odd piece of metal, then again she wasn't sure she could even call it that, but she knew that to was defiantly something as strong as metal. She soon yawned, listening as her stomach started to grumble, maybe it was time to leave it and go eat somewhere with whatever munny she had left.

So picking up her small bag of munny, she went and left the room, leaving the hotel. What she wasn't expect though was to spot someone who looked awfully familiar.]

Edward?

[It's the familiar voice that snaps him out of his thoughtful broody stalk towards the hotel. He stops mid stride, about facing to turn toward the sound of Winry's voice.]

Winry...

[His face shifts from angry to relieved all at once as he steps over where she is.]

It's really you.

[She felt relief upon the realization that he really was here. After what people had been implying about him not longer being here, or him possibly being dead, she couldn't help but be a mixture of relief and happy. She wanted to cry, but knew it was his word that she wouldn't cry unless it was of happiness and even now wouldn't this call for it?

For now she just looked down.]

I'm so glad that you're here. People have told me that you had been here before, but you were no longer here. One even implied that you were dead.

[At that sentence she gripped her hands, that was not a thought she wanted to think about. She stood there keeping quiet for one moment before looking up again, for now the sadness had been replaced with part anger, but still happy.]

I was worried about you?! I actually thought you were dead?!

Apparently a whole world can. it's happen to so many people already it's just perfectly normal.

[He's seen plenty of people arrive and there reactions to their worlds were always like this in some way or another.]

Normal? You're an idiot if you think that's normal. Places aren't just swallowed up into darkness on a regular basis, the last time I checked.

I've been here a few months, so after a while it becomes the norm. Though I do admit, it's not exactly what people want.

Ya know people do help out the worlds that need it, in hopes that there's will come out. it sadly takes a loooong time though, so it's kind of a bummer.

You can't. Not at the moment. As it stands now, you're here because your world has been taken by the darkness. We're trying to save 'em, but it's easier said than done.

[ there's a guy sitting on a roof, looking down at him with a smirk ]

They're only putting it the nice way. Your friends are gone and so is your world. But you friends...they're mostly likely dead.

[He's already agitated when Albel decides to make himself known. Ed stops, glancing upwards at the sound of Albel's voice, hands stuffed in his pockets. His scowl deepens with Albel's words.]

Shut your damn mouth. You don't know any more than anyone else here, do you?
