[Rumpelstiltskin is smiling. This in and of itself is probably not at all surprising. In fact, it's genuinely par for the course.

The video shows that he's not in his shop for once, instead out and about and in motion. And even more surprising, perhaps, is what he decides to ask about.]

Where I'm from, love is a very powerful magic. Well, the right kind of love is.

So tell me, dearies, what is your experience with love? Have you been in love? Does love conquer all where you're from? Has it ever saved someone you know?

I can't help my curiosity, after all. [Here he giggles, high pitched, the sound sudden and then ending just as abruptly.] So perhaps you wouldn't mind indulging an old man's wondering.

It's true. And such a chance should not be wasted. That would be unforgivable.

But, regardless. I am quite curious as to who here knows love of that truest sort.

[Back to those manic sort of giggles.] It could be useful.

Useful for what? [He blinks, curious.]

No magic is more powerful than love, deary. If we're to get out of this place, it could prove useful.

You mean like create some way for us to get out? Wouldn't the love have to take some form, like those stupid keyblades?

Love in its natural form can break a curse.

[Here though he holds up a finger.] Or, if it's true enough and strong enough, I can bottle a potion of it. I've managed it before, once.

Then how come it hasn't yet?

What do you do with the potion?

Perhaps none here is strong enough. Perhaps this isn't precisely a curse.

Well... what I would have done with it is irrelevant now. [A wave of his hand.] It was a safety valve for another curse that I believed would be cast.

So basically we still don't have any solutions besides the keyblades, which we can't use.

None yet. But patience, deary. Solutions seldom pop up out of the blue. This may involve some work.

But I will not be trapped in this place. I have something I must do, after all.

Being patient is one of the things I'm worst at.

Me neither. I'll do what I have to.

Well. You don't strike me as the patient type. More the go out and get it type.

[He nods.] Then we're quite securely on the same page, aren't we?

That's part of why I can't stand just waiting for those keyblade users to...show people how helpless they are.

Oh I agree with that. The power is in their hands entirely, and that rubs me the wrong way.

Me too. They can't seem to understand that.

...So you're just interested in this love stuff now?

Maybe they don't want to understand.

I'm interested in any number of things. Studying these little dark creatures. Trying to harness the strongest magic I can. Something will eventually work out.

The next thing I need to do is speak to... some people around here.

Maybe. I guess I know what's most important to them.

What about? Is it to find out if they're interested too?

And to discover their motivations. [And whether they can be useful allies or obstacles.]

Do you have any idea who yet?

Hmm. A few, yes. I'm wary about some individuals here, however.

[He grins and waves a hand.] The gentleman running the competition certainly seems... vocal.

I'm sure there are several to be wary of. He's definitely outspoken, yeah. It's easy to know he's always planning something, even if not what. He's kind of amusing at times, but I can't say I trust him. He's kind of unpredictable?
