[The video turns on to reveal a very very skeptical face. Very skeptical, and he shakes the communicator a moment before clearing his throat.]

Right. So... the, ah, completely normal little talking mini-pig, er, things... have been helpful enough to answer some questions. But frankly, I'm still feeling a little in the dark here.

More than a little.

[A wave of his hand.] Look, I guess this is supposed to let me talk to people. Which is great. Yay new friends. [This is all said quite flatly. He does not sound excited in the least.] I'm sure you're all fantastic. But I'm a little on the busy side. So if anyone could lend a hand, that would be fantastic.

First. I need a blonde. [Pause.] A very specific blonde. Small, perky. Dragging around about a million feet of impressively shiny hair. She goes by Rapunzel which, yes, I agree, is a mouthful. Anyway, we were separated and we've got a deal to complete. [Maybe he's just a little worried about her.]

And beyond that... [He lifts his hand to show that a small and rather determined chameleon is clinging to his wrist, despite his best efforts to shake it off.] I've got a very insistent frog to return to her. ...as soon as possible would be nice. I'm afraid it might turn violent.

Second. Where am I and how do I make it so that I am not here anymore? I have things to do. People to see. Kingdoms to escort blonds with frogs to.

No time for this weird abducted-to-a-strange-new-world business, thank you very much.

[Her eyes seem to light up again. Because, WOW, she actually gets to be the knowledgeable one and that's obviously exciting. She puffs her chest out a little bit, tucking some hair back behind her ear.]

Weellllll, if you're in the same place as me right now, then this is called Traverse Town! And the little white animals said that no one can go home until their homes come back, so this is where everybody waits. But there are some places that we can go visit, even though some of them make you turn into animals or toys when you go there, but it's still all very interesting to see~! I'd show you how to go there, but I think I don't have enough, um, "munny" to bring all of us... Or maybe I do...?

[She looks thoughtful for a moment, then she shakes her head, dismissing the thought as she looks at the camera again.] Where are you??

So we're stuck here, huh? Well, figures.

[A pause as she goes on and he considers.] Munny huh? Seems I got a little purse along with this handy little... thing... we're talking on.

[So he'll pay the way if he needs to, too. At her question, he glances around, hand lifting to rub at the back of his neck a bit.] Not a clue. Traverse Town sounds right.

[She nods to the first part, then beams again when he mentions having a purse.] Oh! That's right, I think everyone gets some when they first get here... But I think if you want to get more munny you need a "job."

[And then she giggles a little and-- hey, she's on the move.] I guess I have to go find you, then?

Job. [Yeeeaaaah he's not so good at jobs.] Not to worry, blondie. I've got a couple life skills to fall back on. [Stealing. Yup.]

Guess you do. Well, I'll just sit back and wait to be rescued then. Don't keep me waiting too long, ok?

[Headtilt~] Life skills...?

I'll find you both soon~!

That's right, blondie. I'm a man of many talents. It has to be obvious.

[A little nod at that, and he settles to lean back against the nearest wall.] Great. I'll be here. With your frog.

[Well, now she looks all kinds of curious.] Liiiiike... what?

Chameleon. [Again, the correction is automatic.]

Well. Obviously tour guide is the newest addition to my resume. But come on. You should know. Bravery, goes without saying. Superhuman good looks. Conversation skills.

[Wave of a hand, the dismissal just as automatic.] Details.

[She quirks an eyebrow at him suspiciously, lips pursed to suppress a look of amusement.] Hmmm... Well, you make a decent tour guide, but I'm... not so sure about all those other things.

[He sighs heavily, lifting a hand to his chest.] Blondie. I'm wounded. Cut to the core.

And to think I've been singing your praises. [...sort of.]

Oh, really? Praises about my name being a "mouthful"?

...no, that one is just verifiable fact. I said you were perky. And that your hair is shiny. [See? PRAISES.]

Actually... those don't sound much like praises~

Oh come on, of course they are! You're just being modest, blondie!

[Or he's being a brat. Which is more likely?]

[She shakes her head a little, but she still looks amused.]

I think you're just... making things up~

Me? Nah. Paragon of honesty at all times.

[He's kind of smiling at her, really. So it's kind of fun this back and forth. He likes it.]

[Flynn is getting such a look right now. No, she does not believe him. But she's still amused by the fact that he thinks she will.]

Uh-huh~ Of course.

[And she's exchanging that look with Pascal.]

Again, Blondie. I'm wounded. My heart can only take so much. I'm already having a really difficult day.

[A huge distraught sigh. But then he pauses and adds, quieter, a bit more serious.] ...how long have you been here?

[And that's where a smile spreads all the way across her face.] And why's that~?

[Then she blinks, the merriment fading from her eyes to make room for confusion.] Um... I'm not sure. It's been kind of a while, I think. A few... weeks, maybe?

[She doesn't really understand calendars yet.]

Why? I got lifted from my world, saddled with a chameleon with separation anxiety and separated from-- [He clears his throat.] I've been a little concerned, all right. I mean, what kind of guide would I be if I lost my charge straight off.

[...a frown.] Weeks? Blonde, I just saw you-- [This place. He shakes his head.] Have you been all right?

[She blinks slowly, absorbing this. He said "concerned." About being separated from... her?

Slowly, she smiles. A proper, genuine, grateful smile.]

I'm fine~ Just... a little confused about some things. But fine~!

[He said a little! Don't go thinking he cares here. ...except he does. But it's a secret. So shh.

But despite himself, he smiles back.] Yeah, well good. Have you found someone to look out for you here?

[It's just sweet, okay? :3]

Oh- Uh... Not... exactly? I've been trying to figure things out on my own, but I do ask when I need help and I ask the little white creatures lots of questions! They know a lot of things.

[Oh no, he doesn't do sweet.]

The flying pigs? Yeah... they creep me out.

[Yup. He makes a big production of sighing, very heavily.] Well that decides it. Looks like we'll be sticking together here too. I've got to hold up my end of our deal, right?

['cause yeah, he's totally not concerned about her being on her own. Nope. That's not why at all.]

[It's still sweet~]

They don't creep me out at all!

[She tilts her head slightly to the side, confused.] But... there aren't any lanterns here...
