[Ami is in her usual blue and white swimsuit, flip-flops, and pink zip-up hoodie. The beach wasn't her usual location of choice when she felt the urge for a relaxing swim.

But something was drawing her here, today.]

I think...[The wind whips her short blue hair across her face, and she ducks away from the camera for a moment to push her hair out of her face.]

...it seems that Michiru-san has gone to join Haruka-san. [Whatever that means. She can't be sure of it, herself.

She sighs softly. She was going to have to look outside her usual circle of friends to find someone to swim with, wasn't she?]

[Ami weakly smiles in return.] I hadn't thought the circumstances would allow, but it appears that this situation we find ourselves in isn't as antagonistic as I'd initially surmised.

[...she didn't want to be selfish. She was always looking to study, and often at the cost of neglecting her friends. In this strange place, she couldn't afford to make that mistake, especially when they could vanish at any moment.]

I can't imagine that anyone would consider you 'pushy,' Hotaru-chan. [Well, maybe Kanda. But Kanda seems to have a knack for conjuring up flaws in people that were hardly glaring.

Looking down at Hotaru's books, she opted to shift the topic to something more pleasant and, admittedly, something she'd be more qualified to talk about, seeing as interpersonal relationships were hardly her forte.]

What are you studying right now?

I have been here for a while and usually it seems like most of the worlds are quiet. It should leave you plenty of time to study too..

[Kanda did like to yell. It was some times difficult to know what would set him off. Though usually he didn't yell at her very much. ]

Mostly the basics, math, Japanese, English, science, but I am taking a course on the healing arts. One of the Professors thought I might be good with healing magic.

[Hotaru had shown a little predisposition to that kind of magic but whether or not she could learn the healing spells exhibited in Kingdom Hearts or simply work on improving her own healing powers remained to be seen. ]

I haven't really asked since you returned but... How are you doing Ami-chan? Are you still working for King Mickey or having you been looking for something new to do?

You're learning healing magic? [Well, perhaps it wasn't so outlandish, considering their powers over planetal elements and the like.]

Mm? [Hotaru's question at first seemed harmless, but as Hotaru continued, she began to realize just how behind she still was. Ami's eyes darkened, and she looked away.]

I am...still trying to reclaim what was once mine, the last time I was here. [Memories, friendships...things that she never knew she had, but everyone else seemed to think so.] I find so much of it hard to believe...for example. [She looks back to Hotaru.] I don't know about this 'job' I had for King Mickey. I don't even recall ever meeting him. Though if that is the case, perhaps he would rather me not work for him any longer, seeing how my presence has been so unreliable. [Would he understand her particular circumstance, after all?]

Well, maybe...

[She blushed as the idea did sound a little strange when put that way. It made more sense when the moogle brought it up. ]

I just started taking the class so I don't know how it will go yet. But, it couldn't hurt to try?

[Hotaru was a little curious how healing spells worked in this place anyway. This was sure to give her some first hand knowledge on the subject.
But poor Ami-chan... She looked so lost right now. ]

I think he would understand that. King Mickey has always seemed like a very nice person...

[Er, nice mouse? Whatever.]

You shouldn't worry about the things you can't remember too much. You really can't help if the darkness made you forget.

[Ami gave Hotaru a weak smile. She didn't doubt that the girl meant it, but...if even she was susceptible to losing her memories - then what good was she to her teammates?] You'll have to let me know how that goes...if it's successful, perhaps it would be a good idea to enroll myself, as well.

[Until then, it would be prudent for her to focus her energies elsewhere.] By the sounds of it, you've been her a bit longer than a lot of us...Minako-chan excluded. Is that right?

I will let you know how it goes.

[As long as it doesn't seem like it would bother anyone.]

I think Raye has been here the longest, then I arrived, then Makoto-chan, then Minako-chan and then Usagi-chan.

[Trying to remember the order... well, this was pretty correct not including the senshi who disappeared back into the darkness. ]

[Ami nods thoughtfully.] I will have to ask Rei-chan, then.

[She smiles, chuckling lightly.] I was close, wasn't I?

Close enough!

[ She just thought Ami would like all of the details. ]
