[The video is on. But Rumpelstiltskin is unaware of this, largely because it was turned on as it was flung against a wall.

He's having a bit of a tantrum. These are, thankfully, quite rare, but also quite violent. There is broken glass strewn about, vials and bottles shattered and small pools of variously colored liquids.]

Useless! All of this entirely useless. How is it there's not one pair in true love in this entire mess of an existence?!

[It's about here his eyes fall on his communicator and he realizes he's being watched. He straightens up a bit, schools his face into a bit of a smile. Tense around the edges, pulled a bit too taut over his features.]

Well dearies, sorry you had to see that. Call it a bit of frustration and homesickness. I suppose perhaps while I have some of your attention, I should make the most of it. What is the happiest memory you have? What would you be willing to sacrifice to reclaim it?

Potions? [Another light laugh.] It's almost impossible to find the right ingredients to make a proper potion here. I have been experimenting with possible replacements but nothing compares to a salamander tail.

[Rumplestiltskin looks positively charmed at the moment.]

I agree, magic is very different in regards to many people. I was surprised to see other magical folk here but their magic is very different with mine.

Especially in regards to limits. I have never seen a limit on magic.

Yes, magic is very different between the worlds. From what I can tell anyway.

[A tilt of his head.] No limits? Surely there are things in your world that even magic cannot do?

Well, there's nothing taking more of a potion or hex can't fix. The trouble is knowing the spells or the recipe's to do it. Other than that, everything is free reign.

Oh? Your magic can restore life to the dead then? [Color him fascinated. Magic can do many a thing in his world, nearly anything really. But it has its limits at its outer edges.]

In a matter of speaking, yes. [There are many witches and wizards who live long lives. Her headmaster, for example!] Though, like all magic, there are exceptions. In this case, a spell that can bring eternal life is countered by a spell that can kill without counter.

How very curious. I'd love to hear more. Do you like tea, deary? I'd love to have you by my shop to trade magical stories.
