09 Night ◯ Prowling the streets of Traverse Town [Action]

[Despite the fact that Kaname was certain that both Aidou and Rima were gone, he still decided to launch a sort of… investigative mission. In Yuuki’s case, he had gone to Traverse Town in person to look for her.. For them he sent one of his faithful shadows. Anyone residing or visiting Traverse Town you might notice a rather imposing, coal-black wolf traversing the streets.]

[Through this form, Kaname would be aware of everything the wolf saw, heard, and experienced instantaneously. The beast, looked like a real wolf and could even be touched if someone dared to.. But he could just as easily decide to let the creature dissipate on a whim]

[The wolf began with the 3rd district first, lest either of them had run unwittingly into an ambush by the heartless. The less frequented part of town, was much faster to check, moving on to the 2nd and 1st there would be more foot traffic to avoid.]

[OOC: Feel free to run into the wolfy anywhere in Traverse Town if you like~]

[ Cheza had left her new home to go for a stroll on her own. with her new friends, she didn't feel so afraid to walk around by herself. she knew that if she ever needed help she would be completely hopeless on her own. she walked quietly, heading back to her usual spot behind the hotel where she would stay in the water ]

[ as she was walking, she heard a familiar noise. one that sounded like an animal; nothing like the heartless. but this wasn't just any sort of animal, it was an animal that she was immediately drawn to. being a flower maiden, she always knew where wolves were so she and they were always drawn to each other. she ran ahead, listening and searching with her eyes now. out of the corner of her eye she could see a shadow. it startled her since she hadn't been able to see anything since she arrived ]

Kiba-!

[ her voice was desperate as she called out though still quiet. she followed the shadow anxiously. she knew it was a wolf more than anything. but seeing a black wolf was not what she had expected. she thought for a moment that maybe it had been Tsume because it was so dark ]

Tsume?

[So far the search had been a fruitless effort, like he expected. It.. was a bit of a shame. Although Aidou and Kaname hadn't been on the best terms, it was nice having someone else that would look out for Yuuki. Rima- had accomplished some of the most surprising tasks. She had proved to be a useful ally (on occasion), and was one of the few individuals that had been able to obtain a greater understanding of his motivations and his actions. It was going to be difficult coping with that loss. At least, he did not have to make the decision of whether she'd learned too much or not.

Rima.. you've returned to find Shiki, haven't you?

Prancing over the weathered cobblestones, the wolf would have been content to continue onward but something got his attention. Coming to a halt, the beast looked over it's shoulder toward the source of that voice. One of his ears twitched.. had she been addressing him?]

[ Cheza froze once the wolf looked at her. the wolf was completely different and not what she was expecting. however, she wasn't afraid. she reached her hand out, palm out towards the unknown wolf as she finally spoke ]

This one will not hurt you. Don't be afraid.

[The wolf just stood there for a moment, studying her. Her urgency to intercept this Kiba or Tsume, almost made him wish that he was in fact one of them. It was a sharp reminder that everyone had lost something in order to arrive here, and were all seeking to reclaim those individuals that were important to them.

He looked forward one more time before looking back to the girl. It couldn't be helped... her gentle countenance and words made it impossible for him to completely ignore her.

Turning completely around he, slowly approached Cheza as not to frighten her even though she seemed completely at ease]

[ Cheza kneels down, smiling at the wolf ] Come this way! This one would like to meet you.

[When the wolf got close enough, it dropped down into into a sitting position and cocked it's head to one side.]

[ Cheza hesitated before reaching her hands out to him. slowly she went to pet him, running her hand across his fur as she started to smile ]

You really are a wolf...

[It's all right...

He normally only let Yuuki get this close to his wolf form but he'd make an exception tonight. There was just something about this unusual girl.. a sort of loneliness about her. That longing to reunite with someone she obviously cared about was touching.. maybe, just maybe he could give her some comfort through keeping her company for a little while.

He didn't shy away from her when she reached out towards him. The wolf's fur was well-groomed and soft to the touch.

Seeing her smile, made the impromptu decision seem even more like it had been the right one. With a light toss of the head, the wolf pressed into her hand]

[ she smiles at that, putting her arms around her neck to hug him ]

This one has waited for one of your kind to come here again...

[ Not quite... one of my kind perhaps.. but definitely one of the canine persuasion

He quietly corrected her despite this lady's inability to hear it. Wasn't she the one that just moved into that bakery? Mm, that particular establishment was popping up in conversations and posts more frequently now... and it was run by that unusual butler. Curious.

Both the bakery, it's employees, and now this girl intrigued him a great deal.]

You do not have to be so shy. You can speak to this one. Are you...here alone? Or are there others with you?

[Could she really... speak to wolves? As quietly as possible he tried to answer her questions. The last thing he wanted was to draw more attention then he already had.]

I was looking for others...

[Other vampires.. not wolves but minor details.]

What of yourself? Are you the only one of your kind here?

There are no more lunar flowers, you should know this. Maybe...you do not.

This one is the last of the lunar flowers, made into the flower maiden to take the wolves to Paradise. You...must be so alone. You are the only wolf this one has seen. [ she frowned, putting her arms around him to hug him ]

[What Cheza said next.. was all quite strange to him. Lunar flowers? Flower Maiden? Paradise..? The world she hails from must be quite different from his own indeed.

Still curious, he was interested to know more but felt a bit guilty that she thought he was one of the wolves she needed to help. Her gentle embrace was quite soothing.]

This one? Is there some other name that I might call you?

[This one just didn't seem adequate enough]

Forgive my ignorance on the subject.. but I'm not familiar with the lunar flowers, or this Paradise you speak of. Flower maidens.. are they the only ones capable of speaking to wolves in this manner?

[ she looks surprised, then sad all in one moment ]

...You are not a wolf from my world. [ she takes her arms off of him then as she sits in front of the wolf, she would at least be nice and civil to him ]

This one is the only flower maiden. The wolves of this one's world are able to speak, but they are hidden as humans so they do not become hurt by others. They are...said to be extinct except for a few.

Paradise is where this one must lead the wolves. Humans say that...when they end of the world comes, Paradise will open. The wolves and the flower maiden are the only ones that know the way.

[The illusion is broken...

So much for trying to perk the girl up. His own inquisitive nature had ruined that possibility.]

[Surprisingly the girl still proceeded]

There is a term for creatures like that in the lore of my own world. [~~Werewolves~~] I can certainly appreciate their need for secrecy. [Hence why so many humans in his world were not aware that vampires exist..]

[A variety of cultures possessed their own unique version of Heaven.. this Paradise must be one of those]

Was the end of the world considered.. close where you're from?

[ she nods ]

Yes... The world is not as it should be. This one will meet the others...of this one's kind there.

Why is it that only the flower maiden and the wolves shall go to paradise? Are the others so corrupt or undesirable?

What else awaits you in paradise?

Humans have...destroyed this one and the wolves world over the years. They cannot come to Paradise.

What is in Paradise...this one does not know.

[The young senshi ran down the dark streets of Traverse Town chasing the fleeing shadow in front of her. It hadn't looked like a heartless, but being so darkly colored it was difficult to make out details of it's retreating form. the creature ran straight ahead while she turned around a corner and took a short cut. Coming out just in front of the creature she gasped at what she saw. ]

Aa...! It's a dog?

[As the shadow wolf continued on it's path, he couldn't help but pick up on the sound of footsteps behind him. Deciding it was best to carry on, he didn't bother to slow his pace. Whatever it was, wasn't a threat. For a moment, the wolf thought it had lost its pursuer only to nearly run right into....

Hotaru?.. Or is it Sailor Saturn today?

Placing his paws before him as the wolf skidded to a stop.

... It's a bit cruel.. isn't it? How they send a young girl to fight all alone

Taking on a more dignified stance, the wolf flicked it's tail impatiently]

[The animal really didn't look like a heartless. In fact he looked pretty calm and peaceful. He wasn't snarling or trying to bite. ]

Are you some one's pet?

[She spoke to the creature not really expecting a response. ]

You shouldn't be out here all by yourself...

[Coming a little closer but not touching the dog she tried to look around to see if he was wearing a collar or not. ]

From guardian to village dog catcher? I can't say that that is an improvement...

He watched her curiously, unsure of where she would end up going with this. The wolf was definitely not wearing a collar.

I'm not one bit lost..

Moving to the right, he tried to pass her.]

[As the wolf passed by her Hotaru reached out a hand to snag him, only to recoil a moment later when her hand brushed though his fur. It was just a premonition. She had them occasionally... vague impressions of things when she touched them. She took a step back and held her own hand against her chest. ]

Ka... name...?

[He tried to evade her grasp but she still managed to make contact. Strangely, the girl pulled back even though she could have captured him. The wolf would have been content to hurry on.. but she said ... his name?

You are just full of surprises Hotaru..

Turning back towards her, he waited an instant before losing the wolf form. The creature shifted form, and broke off into a cloud of bats.]

[Pure nightmare fuel. These were the kind of images so often filmed for horror movies. The dark dog tuning into a swarm of bats and drifting up into the air. She couldn't help but gasp and step quickly away from them.

Kaname was a vampire... but could he really do this?!

For a safer distance she watched the bats disperse higher into the air she mentally made a note. She really needed to know more about vampires, what they do, what they want...

What was Kaname after?]

[Oops, there he went frightening the girl again. Why did 60% of their meetings have to turn out like this? The bats seemed to be going off into all sorts of directions leaving Hotaru to her own thoughts and impressions.]

[Night times are when Hermione tends to go out searching for potion ingrediants. She finds bugs, plants, and other various things and keeps them in jars for storage. She's out and about looking in dark alley's and cracks in buildings for her new specimens when she saw a black wolf pass. She froze.

The first thing that came to mind was Sirius black.

She knew there was a possibility people could pass through the darkness from different periods in time but the odds of the wolf being Sirius were very low. She understood this but the girl was just so desperate for a friend. She covered her jar, grabbed her things and ran after it.]

Wait, come back!

[Her hand went to her wand inside her pocket. If it wasn't friendly, well, she could take care of that. Easy.]

[The night was an excellent time for both Hermione and Kaname's pursuits. It usually meant there were less prying eyes to deal with, less interruptions, and quicker results. Tonight, however, it was proving difficult.

The wolf wasn't unfriendly so much as focused. When the sound of the girl's voice came to his ears the beast didn't so much as falter in its steps. She did sound familiar though... the scent was the deciding factor, although some of the ingredients Hermione had gathered did mask it slightly.

With a bit of a huff, the wolf began to plod to a stop. Circling around, it sat upright in the middle of the cobblestone path.

Do you ever sleep? Whenever I see you.. you are always hard at work on something

It was an admirable quality, but he hoped that she never pushed herself too hard.

Yuuki.. could learn something from you.]

[Pushed herself too hard? She literally kills herself with her hard work. She comes to halt and, well, it wasn't Sirius. That's for sure. She had seen him transform too many times. Now this was awkward.]

I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else. [She looked. Distressed.]

[ Hermione needed to learn to take better care of herself.

If the wolf could have chuckled, it would have now.

So there was a specific four-pawed mammal you were seeking? The odd part was, the creature seemed to understand every word that she was saying. Standing back up, the wolf swished it's tail.

Now why don't you return home and get some rest...]

[It definitely acted like Sirius. The man couldn't speak in this form but he sure knew how to make you think you understood.]

You're very alert to what I say. Do you belong to someone? Are you lost. [She inched a little closer.]

[It was a bit of a hassle trying to communicate through this form without revealing more than he wanted to. Hermione resided at the Bakery.. didn't she? Perhaps he could lead her there.... it was getting awfully late.. and she undoubtedly had a full day ahead of her tomorrow.

He turned in the direction of that shop and took a few steps, then paused and looked back at her seeming to say, "Aren't you coming?]

[She knew the tell-tale signs of someone wanting her to follow them. She did.]

A wolf and a witch in the middle of the night. This certainly looks suspicious.

[Thank you for making this a little easier, Hermione.

The wolf almost seemed to chuckle at what she said... but it's not like wolves could do that, right? He led on down the street until they arrived at Sebastian's bakery. Then he went up to the door, and lightly scratched at it.]

Oh, no, you can't go in there.

[And she was a little concerned he knew where she lived.]

Who are you? It's clear your no real wolf.

[It might be difficult trying to convince her to go inside... especially if she thought he wanted to go with her. He turned toward her and sat by the door, not budging for now.

Clever as always

He thought to himself when she asked her question. It was true that he could just have been a hungry wolf looking for hand outs, or that he'd followed her scent here and that's how he arrived here.. but it was too coincidental wasn't it?

Swishing his tail, he didn't answer]
