002 ❇ [Video] & [Action] for Destiny Islands
[So evening has begun to fall, and most people are headed home for dinner. But that doesn't mean the day is over for Edward. The rather ambitious little blonde has painstakingly budgeted most of his money towards raw materials, all of which now reside in piles on a medium sized abandoned lot.
Edward stands, hands at his hips, lips curled into something of a frown as he looks over the materials with an evaluating glance.]
That should be everything. At least it wasn't too expensive. [Making a home isn't exactly something that's been on his agenda in a while, but if he's going to be stuck here -- he needs a place to stay and so does Winry.]
Here we go. [A clap of his hands results in a bright glow of white-blue light, bright enough to eclipse the rooftops of the surrounding buildings. The materials in the transmutation distort and combine, resulting in a home that more or less resembles the ones around it.
... save for the additions of Gothic architecture here and there. What? It's his house, it can reflect his style a little bit right?]
Video
[The feed cuts on, and obviously Ed has made himself at home in the house he's made for himself. He's frowning, as he usually is, but not in an angry fashion. His face is just stuck this way.]
So what kind of jobs are available here? I haven't had any luck finding anything on my own yet. [And he's going to need a job to make money -- since he spent most of what he had making the home for himself and for Winry.]

[A grin.] If you can't find anything else, I occasionally need someone to run my errands. [Errand boy, Edward. Rumplestiltskin thinks you'd do wonderfully.]
no subject
Like hell I'm going to be some errand boy at YOUR beck and call! [Did you really think this was going to work rumple, or were you just trying to ruffle his feathers again?]

You could pay me in gold bars and I'd still refuse!! [He's about to start throwing insults, too.]

You're just asking for trouble, bastard. You're not making this offer to be humble at all, and you're an idiot if you think I'd believe that!
no subject
[He clucks his tongue gently.] But I don't particularly feel inclined to continue a conversation where I'm being called names. So, good luck in your search.
no subject
[Asshole. ...Even if he's the one that's acting less than gracious at the moment. Oh well.]
no subject
Yeah? What have you come up with? [Ed could always take the easy way out, but he's never really been fond of that whole lead into gold thing.]

I didn't exactly have a job back home anyway. [Being "a dog of the millitary" isn't something he counts as a job. He had other important things he was in the middle of doing, anyway] What about you, what did you do?
no subject
No? How'd you get by then?
[He hesitates here and laughs.] Me? Well, whatever came along. I'm a man... of opportunity! Blowing wherever the wind takes me and adventure calls. Or something.
[He stole. From rich, important people.]
no subject
That sounds suspicious to me.
[But he shrugs] My brother and I were looking for something.
no subject
[Pot and kettle, Ed. They can have a sketchy-sounding support group.]
no subject
It's not really anyone's business what we were looking for.
I wound up in the millitary if that helps it any. [Not that it was something he really wanted, but he could use it.]
no subject
Military? Huh. No offense, but you look pretty young to be a soldier.

no subject
Yeah, it's science. [He pauses a moment, considering how to explain it.] It's the breaking down of materials and objects to create something else, using transmutation circles.
no subject
[Country. Close enough. He's a fairy tale guy after all.]
no subject
Technically. Currently a full fledged dog of the military.
no subject
So the law and order type? [He'll have to be careful around this one then.]
no subject
No, it's just a means to an end, I guess. [at least, that's how it started in any case.]
no subject
no subject
Maybe we'll see each other around. Good luck finding a job, whatever it is you wind up doing.

action;
Had to add your own touch didn't you?
no subject
You're the best, Winry. [He's already going to start downing the water before he answers. The smirk can already be seen around the rim of the waterbottle.]
Of course. It looks better this way.
no subject
Well it looks pretty good. Not over the top, but just right.
[And that is a compliment given his taste and hers aren't exactly the same.]</small.
no subject
Thanks. You can pick what room you want. I made sure there's a place for your automail geek stuff.
no subject
It's not stuff it's the workings of art.
no subject
Art? Hahaha You've got to be kidding Winry. Only you would call it art. [He really is just teasing.]
no subject
It's more of an art than alchemy can be. [She enjoys her 'art' can you blame a girl.]
no subject
HEY! You've seen Major Armstrong's alchemy! [ okay maybe he wouldn't consider that art, but the guy can make some pretty badass statues.]
no subject
Fine! There are some that can do art. [Note the word some.]

For shops you have, Simply Charming and Devil's Food Cakes in Traverse Town, I do believe there is another shop there run by someone, but I don't know if they are hiring or not. Then you have Disney Castle where there is a flower and gift shop around. Finally you have Radiant Garden where the Cat's ye cafe and bar are around.
no subject
Jeez. I never really thought about working in a place like those before. This is different.

Even after you been to all the worlds though, there will always be something new.
