005 [Video] Not as Planned

[When the feed cuts on, it's quite obvious that it's accidental, though who exactly turned it on is unknown. In the video, Lenalee is on her hands and knees, her head ducked under her bed and out of view for the moment.]

Ah... there there! Come on. Don't be afraid. Come out where I can see you! [Her voice is barely audible, but the shuffling sound that follows is louder. From the other end of the bed a small pair of furry paws is visible, just before the Teddiursa's head pops out curiously.]

Ah.. wait! [Obviously, Lenalee thinks the pokemon has scurried further under the bed, so she shifts slightly trying to follow him. Meanwhile, the Teddiursa circles the edge of the bed to where Lenalee's back half pokes out from under the bed, one paw raised to it's tiny mouth as it blinks curiously. Only a moment later and it's climbing up Lenalee's leg to settle comfortably on... her butt.]

E-eh!? Hey! [Well this is awkward. It takes some doing, but after a bit of shimmying that backs her against the table the communicator is perched on she eventually manages to get the teddiursa into her arms. It's only then that she notices the feed, and she quickly swipes up the communicator.]

How Embarassing! [And now she's going to try and figure out something to talk about to distract anyone who's seen this] Ah... I hope... everyone is enjoying the date auctions...! It really seems like some of the bidding is getting exciting.

[Don't mind the fact that she's entirely embarrassed at the moment, ok?]

People from the future sure come up with interesting things.

Mm.. I agree, though at least it seems to be for good intentions. I don't think I would have done something like this myself.

[she blinks, then laughs somewhat nervously.]

I suppose that's true. I did manage to bid on a few of my friends... I think they may be thankful if I wind up winning.

[And maybe she might want a date with one of them, but that's a secret.]

I bid on a friend, and friends of friends, though I already lost the latter bids.

He gives up too easily.]

You shouldn't give up yet! There's still plenty of time to bid.

I don't really wanna spend that much munny. It's not a big deal.

[What the hell was that thing doing. Leave it to Lenalee to put herself in compromising positions.]

Your egg hatched. [Kick it out. It's obviously a pervert.]

[She doesn't make a habit of it!]

Mm! He's a little mischievous. [She says that with a laugh, carefully cradling the now rather cuddly teddiursa in her arms. The pokemon's eyes stay fixed on her face, though sleepily.]

How are you feeling, Kanda...? Are you wounds any better?

[I think most boys in the order would disagree. Bak doesn't count. Damned stalker.]

I'm fine.

[She frowns a little]

That's all?

What else do you want me to say?

[She frowns.]

I... well... anything, I suppose.

[He's about to respond when a certain duck bothers him. It starts dragging him down the hall.]

Tori wants to visit. Mind if I go into your bedroom?

Huh? Ah... no. Of course I don't mind, Kanda.

[The notion did make her a little apprehensive, even as she turned around and started picking up a bit of laundry from the floor.]

J...just give me a minute to make sure it's tidy! [Her room, on the contrary is already plenty tidy.]

[Kanda would have waited but Tori was banging on her door the instant she gave the approval. His angry reprimands were muffled by the door before he finally opened it.]

Idiot.

[Tori walked in carrying a juice pouch. It was a gift!]

Tori... what's that? [She crouched down and held her hand out to the duck, just as her Teddiursa hopped down from its perch on her desk to peer at both kanda and Toori from beind Lenalee.]

Tori really is rather friendly, Kanda.

[The duck offered the juice pack to Lenalee before moving over near the desk, looking up at the Teddiursa. Yay, more friend!]

She's an idiot. [And he's going to move over and take a seat on her bed watching the two creatures.] About time your egg hatched.

Hmm.. I don't think calling her an idiot is fair, Kanda.

[She's glad for the visit, to be honest. The last time she spoke to Kanda... things had been awkward.]

I hope they can be friends. Tori seems really happy to meet someone new.

[ Just what... is going on.

Would be her question.

Well, except there's something cute and furry running around the room. And the girl --Lenalee, wasn't it? --is trying to catch it. She just kind of... watches in quiet curiosity for the moment. At least until Lenalee finally looks at her communicator and, oh, hi. ]

...What is that?

[Something embarrassing that Lenalee would like to not discuss. ... She doesn't really make it a point to post embarrassing videos of herself on the network.]

Oh, him? I'm not sure... Allen gave me an egg, he's what came out of it! He's awfully adorable. [If a pain in the butt.]

[ She smiles at that. Small but there. ] Yeah, he's- really cute. [ Did her tone come off a bit distracted? Maybe. Possibly. It could be because she might not mind a little furry bugger in her midst at the castle.

...She kind of misses Pluto now. ] -Do you know where he got the egg from?

Mm. A friend gave it to me. [She pauses, considering. It's not hard to pick up on the girl's body language.]

His name is Allen Walker. You could ask him about the eggs sometime, if you want. Or I could ask for you.

-Huh? [ Is she really that obvious? ...Okay, maybe. But that doesn't change the perplexed expression she gives. One that soon turns abashed. ]

No, it's- You don't have to. [ She shakes her head just a little. ]

I don't mind at all, You don't need to worry. [She offered what she hoped was a comforting smile.]

They're quite cute, really! Both Kanda and Allen have one of their own. I've seen others around as well... I'm sure they're not that rare.

[ That smile is inviting... and might get her to relax just a little. But still, what's up with all this kindness and niceness and whatever? It's weird. She tilts her head a little. ]

Really? I've... been to a lot of worlds. And I've never seen one of those before. [ She's never been to that one, she guesses though. ]

It seems the personality of these things can come in all types.

[But usually they seem to be loyal.]

Is that so? [she pauses to think] I suppose that's right -- I think Kanda's and Allen's both have really different personalities!

I'm afraid mine may turn out to be rather mischievous.

[He laughs slightly.]

Maybe your own personality will rub off on it in some way.

[That makes her smile.] Hm, perhaps! I'd like to think I'm not all that mischevious.

I guess when they hatch odds are they know nothing about anything, which could explain it. So give it time to settle and see if it's actually that or it's just it's own personality.

Hmm.. I think that's sound advice. I'm sure he's just being inquisitive for now.

Exactly. Though I never saw an egg like that before. It was a first.

[The one time Allen isn't at home when not at work and this happens. Jez Allen knows when to wander off.]

Le-Lenalee, what is that thing think it's doing?

[Does he have to come home?]

[Oh gosh. Lenalee laughs, holding the teddiursa carefully.]

He was being rather mischevious. I don't think he trusted me at first. [The embarrassing video is just a terrible side effect.]

[He paused for a moment, his golem, Tim resting on his head.]

Then to get his trust, make sure Link doesn't go near. Someone he isn't useful in the trust area.

Ah... Allen. That's not very nice! Link isn't even here... [Of course if he was, Lenalee would have cause to avoid him... Especially since it meant Leverrier could be around...]

[He laughed slightly.]

I'm too use to saying Link, I meant my pet. I named him Link. Jr because he likes to follow me around.

Oh! You meant your pet. Now I feel rather silly... [She shakes her head, smiling just a bit.]

Do you not trust him?

It's fine, I figured there would be confusion. [Which was proven to be true.]

I trust him, he just enjoys following me around and cleaning, which when you need to sleep isn't a good thing.

[She laughs.]

It sounds like he likes you quite a lot, Allen.

I guess so. Its just hard to tel him to stop waking you up in the middle of the night.

[But for sleep he's rather annoying.]
