So, many of us come from different worlds, and a bunch come from Earth at different points in time...or different versions of Earth.

I guess that could lead to some culture clashes, like that Dating Auction. Some of us are more familiar with arranged marriages. I'm from [ 19th Century name for the part of Central Asia he comes from.] and I think I've heard some people refer to the time period as Victorian, for some Queen in England or whatever. That faraway place had nothing to do with my clan.

Many of you haven't even heard of where I lived. Maybe the name changed? Or it's just part of the Russian Empire? They're way too big.

Why do I sometimes hear words in different languages anyway? Isn't there something translating whatever we say? I doubt anyone speaks Kazakh.

I had a point with this. Since we all come from places with different cultural standards,it might be better to try to keep an open mind. I think that's part of why Naoto was trying to get a better understanding of our worlds.

The different points in time is something I am still having difficulty understanding, though I suppose it must be true. Might I ask you, what was the year where you were taken from?

The year I was taken from was 1486. I was living in Venezia at the time. Is that a place you have heard of in your travels?

I think during your time my people were mostly steppes nomads, actually my clan's still nomadic during the summers.

A nomadic lifestyle, there is a certain romanticism about the idea but, I prefer to stay in town, hopefully with a large workspace area available.

I kinda like living in solid walls. Too much traveling can be a pain.

I do enjoy nature and traveling but it is nice to be able to sleep in a comfortable bed at the end of the day.

The translator might not always function like it should? Or maybe it just doesn't mind when certain words or phrases make their appearance in conversations?

I might be able to tell you about your country. Just how close to Russia is it? There is a time when 'Russia' takes over most of Asia and half of Europe. If your country was anywhere nearby it too would probably have been conquered by the Soviet Union.

Well, I'm from the mountains and Russia is just to the north...in Asia. It's way too close. The Caspian Sea is about a week's journey away, if that still has the same name.

Then I am sorry to say your country was most likely taken over when the Russians invaded. Their army really was too powerful for most countries to stop.

Part of it was to get a better understanding, but also to get a much better understanding of people's laws. They all differ in one way or another, like the case of the death sentence. In most places this is considered illegal to do now. In others it's a thing you can find in some jails.

See, I wasn't so sure about laws. Most things are just settled within the clans.

In places like Japan, yes it is. In America if I remember correctly there are still some places where it's accepted.

Its kinda weird how in other places people can choose their mates without consulting their families. This dating thing seems like it would take longer to find someone.

I heard of other places in my world having kings. The Russians have a czar that's trying to control everything.

There are individuals that can do that in my world, but they usually leave the kingdom. Whether by choice or by force.

Russians? Who are they?

I guess if neither person involved has a family, and they have enough to make a life together it could work.

Russians are enemies where I come from, invaders from the north.

They're really pushy.
