❖ Video ❖ Mai + Traverse Town [007]
Great. This place again.
[For those that recognize the buns and the very dull look, Mai's not looking anymore different than the last time you saw her. Her arms crossed over her chest as a moogle floated by around her. She didn't like it, she didn't like being back here, but at least she wasn't going to freak out about it.]
I know, I know. [She rolled her eyes at the moogle.] I can stay at the inn for a couple of days. Don't worry about it. If there's a certain belt-hogging boy still living in Radiant Gardens, I won't have to take an inn.
[She started walking but there's something trailing around her feet, the upcoming mist. She waved a hand in front of her before turning to the moogle.]
Is a storm coming? This mist is persistent. It's going to drench my dre- hey!
[The girl moved quickly, a little too quickly for an average girl. The moogle was cradled safely in her arms completely knocked out. She poked at it's cheek.]
Did you fall asleep on me? Rude. You're supposed to be helping... helping... help-
[She couldn't seem to finish that question. She fell to her knees, her dress pooling around her as she tried to keep herself steady. Something was making her drowsy and she wasn't doing very well putting up against it.]
What's going on. I can't- Leon. [And she fell forward. Disappearing underneath the must.]

It says video but someone needed to save her right? ^^
Very strange weather we are having... ehehe, very strange~
[The doorway shut again as quickly as it appeared taking the little group some where less mist filled. ]
What a bro <3
The moogle, where's the- Undertaker? [Oh is she glad to see you, boss.]
He has always liked Mai. ❤
[He just nods in the direction of the moogle who at this time was still fast asleep. See, it is safe too!]
Who wouldn't, she's soooo cheery
[Despite the look, she really did miss you. And she's grateful.]
My head hurts.
A brighter smile has never existed!
[Very pleasantly surprised!]
Did you hit it when you collapsed... or did the fog have something to do with it~?

Do I want to know what's going on?

[Undertaker does take her hand and help her to her feet. Couldn't just leave her laying there. ]
But, I don't really know what might happen during this~

Cheerful as always when the world is in peril. I missed you.

[But you are back now!]
I missed you too, you were gone for so long...~

[He lost count of how many. ]
Do you remember that time~?

The darkness ended up taking the world over again, I assume.

[Helping to bring dark Gods some humility, avoiding evil fog, getting wickedly awesome ideas for birthday presents. ]
I could never have replaced you...~
[no one would take the job. :P JK!]
However, I did take on a partner... of a sort~
[A heartless who often can be since running around wearing a hat. ]

I'll introduce you to him later~!

action;
Once that was done he sat down by a wall and simply closed his eyes. Since they were having a nap, he sure as hell would to.]
[video] If the backtagging isn't okay, lemme know!
Pocketing the device, he breaks into a run and jumps into his gummi ship, unaware she's already been rescued by someone else. It doesn't hit him until he's at Traverse Town that trying to go outside is... a very bad idea and by then, he's already swaying, tumbling backwards back into his ship. He has the good sense to close the door to prevent any further mist from getting to him, but it doesn't exactly alleviate his frustration. In the process, his communicator had rattled out of his pocket and onto the floor of the ship, turned on.]
...How am I supposed to find you in this, Mai?
[With his half-dazed logic, he's beginning to wish he had a gas mask.]
[video]It's fine! COME SWEEP HER AWAAAY
[She was safe and sound in Undertaker's shop. She was sitting down, a sleeping moogle on her lap. She felt bad for it. Totally didn't find it cute. Nope.]
You shouldn't leave a lady waiting. Someone did your job for you.
(Then... she's really back?) [He's completely relieved because at least she's safe now, but instead of a sappy greeting, she gets snark.] Not my fault you had bad timing. Could've waited until we got rid of this mist.
[Nevermind that he knows people can't control when they come and go in this place.]
[And she turned somewhere behind her, asking something to Undertaker.]
Are you coming to see me or something? I'm still waiting.
[He scoops the device into his hand, leaning in to try and take a closer look at her surroundings. It doesn't help much.]
That depends. You gonna tell me where you're at first?
[video] → [action]
[Hopefully. Leon doesn't anticipate the mist will exactly be making this easy for him, but he switches the communicator off and books it to Halloween Town anyway. Knock, knock.]
It's Leon. [Who else?] Lemme in.
[action]
About time.
[action]
I was trying not to crash. Better late than never, right? ...I'm just glad you're safe.
[action]
How long was I away for?
[action]
...Several months. You've been gone a while. A lot's happened. [He sighs, putting a hand on his hip.] And by "a lot's happened," I mean everything's gotten a lot worse since the last time you were here. You were probably safer... wherever you were.
[action]
[Don't worry, she's used to this oblique truth.]
[action]
Good question. [But there's really not point dwelling on it. There's not a whole lot they can do right now.] ...Griever'll be happy you're back. She wandered the house aimlessly for a week, expecting to find you after you disappeared.
[Leon probably wandered aimlessly with her, like a sad puppy.]
[action]
And what about you?
[action]
The Restoration Committee's been pretty demanding of my attention.
[It's... an elusive answer, but still an answer! Sort of. Kind of?]
[action]
I see. I'm glad at least Griever missed me.
[Totally letting you go and moving off.]
[action]
H-Hey, come on. That's not-- [He sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose.] I just meant... [He eventually just grunts in frustration at his inability to find the words and crosses his arms again.] Whatever...
[action]
Are we leaving?
[action]
...And I wasn't exactly expecting guests.
[Which is pretty much Leon for "My house is a wreck and not in proper condition for a lady".]
[action]
Taking back what's yours, you're such a boy.
[action]
What's that supposed to mean? I don't want you to get hurt.
[action]
