[Tidus' body is weary, but he keeps pacing in a struggle to stay awake. The camera sways, and he begins to speak.]

We need to find a way to stop this mist. We're all tired, and it's getting harder to not believe the things we see are true, but--

[He comes to a stop, nearly dropping his communicator. From out of the mist walks a young woman. He wants to approach her, to hold her, but he can't move. He manages to speak.]

Is it...you this time?

[She starts to approach him, smiling softly. Tidus tries to take her outreached hand--

And goes right through it.]

What? No--

[The summoner seems just as horrified as Tidus does, as his hands start to become blurrier, blue lights occasionally seeping through them and causing them to seemingly ripple like water. He drops his communicator, and collapses, devastated.]

You're disappearing again! No - no, why is this happening? Tidus, you can't leave again! I'm sorry.

Sorry, Terra. I-- I'm sorry you had to see this.

Where are you going now?! [ his voice cracks as he just watches ] You can't just leave! I - I don't want you to go again! I'm sorry for everything and I'm sorry for not being there. I failed you...again.

You never failed me. [he shakes his head, as more of his body starts to disappear. It's terrifying as Terra's voice grows harder to hear and he feels more numb, but it also leaves him so tired.]

Could you do me a favor and take care of Yuna?

[ Terra stares, his words failing him ] Tidus, don't talk like that...

[He doesn't argue, as it spreads up his arms and through his chest. His arms are just an outline now, with the occasional pyrefly.]

Tidus, please don't leave!

[He stays kneeled over, too upset to look at her.]

[Her answer works for him. He doesn't feel like arguing anyway. He gives a faint nod in response. He's starting to feel lightheaded.]

[ She hardly knows him- just as that guy that she talked to not even that long ago. She doesn't even know his name. But that doesn't change the kindness he showed. So, she's quick to turn on her communicator although she freezes at first because he's... fading?

[ She has to cut herself off, throat tightening, with the last words sounding force. She understands inevitability all too well. Her entire existence was something that was inevitably meant to end short-lived. So, why does it hurt so much to see someone else accepting things? It's hypocritical and yet... And perhaps it's truly why it makes this harder for her than it really should. She just met him, after all.

[Voicing that word is such a struggle right now. Trying to reassure her seems pointless, but something about the way she says it hurts, and he doesn't want her or anyone else to hurt just because he is. Maybe he's just being selfish, again. No, he knows he is. He can't make it any better. But he doesn't want to make it worse, either.]

[ The apology both makes her feel guilty and just plan... sad. She understands he doesn't mean to make things worse, but... but it's hard. To just watch. She wishes she could do something. Anything. But what can she...? Being there doesn't change that he's disappearing. You can't just reverse that.

She shuts her eyes tight, trying her damnedest not to let matters get the best of her. And when she finally opens them, well. The dark knowing hasn't gone away. But at least she's seemed to settle herself enough to speak again. Though she can only seem to get out one word. ]

[His stare flickers to her, then back up. He doesn't feel like smiling, but even so, there's a hint of warmth in his voice, almost as if he'd be amused at the circumstances if they were less grim.]

[ It's funny how he just tries to make things lighter than they really are. And especially how that somehow just seems to make her feel worse. But she.. can't do a thing about it, can she. All she can do is acknowledge the compliment with a nod- because a thanks would fall with a break in her voice at this point.
