☠ CLAUSTROPHOBIA :: тєηтαтινєℓу тяαρт | video → action: opeɴ тo αll.
I am sure that many of you have noticed the strange effects the mysterious fog is having on everyone... I believe it best to stay inside and, if possible, away from all doors and windows. [ for what sebastian hopes are obvious reasons. ] If you happen to be in Traverse Town or by my Bakery please let me know immediately. I have created something of a safe haven in its basement and there is still plenty of room left. [ looks aside as his tone drops to that of a whisper. ] ...let's hope it leaves as swiftly as it came.
( ooc | ** ammended ** you can reply to the feed as normal, but for the action bit i'd like you to assume that sebastian, or somebody else, has let your character inside and lead them into the basement. NO NEED TO REPLY TO THE INTRO BIT ANYMORE. from there you may do as you please. threadhop and threadjack to your heart's content. feel free to also post new comments ( with headings! ) about what you character is doing or what your character would like to do. think of this like a party log, ...just with the aforementioned tweak. )

Reading is far more interesting. [She offered him the physics book.] Have fun with it.

[He does take the offered book. If she really didn't want to talk about it he wouldn't push for details... besides he could be pretty easily derailed, something she had done accidentally by handing him that book. ]

Maybe once the mist is gone, we can see those shops if you'd like.

Those shops? Which shops would those be?

Si, and all I have recently is leisure time. I suppose I will have to find a patron here. There was a moogle who approached me for a small job, I think I will accept it.
[Off track!]
But, I think I would enjoy shopping with a friend. I have none of those things here with me right now. I will also need a quill and some ink, are those difficult to find? I was told not everything from home would be easy to find here.

It would be my pleasure! If we can't find some quill's I can always share my own. I prefer them myself. Ink is easy to find.

[They could both use the distraction of a shopping trip after this. ]

May I ask how you got into painting? I know you were an apprentice for someone before you started your own work but did that experience grow your love for knowledge?

My father saw how much I enjoyed drawing and showed a few of my early works to Andrea Del Verrocchio, who would become my Maestro. Being an apprentice was how I came to painting and I imagine it sparked my curiosity as well. In Maestro Verrocchio's workshop we would often construct ingegni, complex theatrical devices for plays that would make the actors seem like they were flying or what ever else it was the play called for. And I was taught casting, how to build things, we were always trying out new techniques to see if they would work out better than the old ones.
So, I suppose the answer is yes. I don't know what I would have been doing with out that kind of experience.

[New discovery get! He does attempt to not get too off track thinking about that. ]
It isn't so difficult. You just need an open mind and a bit of practice. I think some one like you might really take to painting. You should try it sometime and find out if you like it or not.
[What a great idea!]
After our shopping trip I could help you get started? Show you which paints to mix to get the kind of colors and effects you are looking for?

[Oh gosh. She is- she needs a moment to divulge this. Leonardo Da Vinci. Teaching her how to paint.]
I-I really don't want to be a burden. [Not to mention, she's not sure if she can handle the pressure of making a fool of herself!]

[You even have a job offer. :P]
